The Redwood Run / Dream rides

Okay, as promised, I am taking you all along with me for the ride. We are in San Francisco, actually, um, just outside of San Francisco. Got to the hotel room for the night, went through all my charging, got everything charged, completely raped all the outlets in this hotel room for the night. Just wrapping up some stuff here on my computer and then we are going to head to the Redwood National Forest. Welcome to today's vlog. I hope you all enjoy it. I got the new GoPro session, but I spent the morning trying to figure out how to get the SD cards formatted and the right settings and everything on this. Um, so I think I got it right, but it should be an epic day. The weather is beautiful here in San Francisco. The great Redwoods. I always dreamt of these things as a kid. Uh, I didn't get to spend much time there. So I'm going to be camping out in the Redwoods for about four days. And that is it, my friends. Uh, that is how I load down my bike. I can literally live off that bike with my dog. One load. Uh, 2017 Road Glide Ultra. Deleted tour pack, built my custom, uh, load system and, uh, we've got pretty much everything we need to get by. Let's go to the Redwoods. Okay. We are in some, uh, mountain town about maybe about a hundred miles south of Eureka. We got about 150 miles down or another 70 miles to go, um, to get to where we're planning on going. It's a little chilly in the top of those mountains. You know, the pine trees start coming in. That's when, you know, your elevation's getting high and then the, uh, temperature starts dropping drastically. So I'm going to do a quick little pit stop, jump back on the bike. And, uh, I don't think it's going to be long before we start seeing some Redwood trees. You acting crazy. You acting crazy. Come here. Get in your bag. Get in. Get in your bag. Good boy. All right. Put your head down. Put your head down. You can button these up and these will actually fix, help keep a little heat in there. All these vents are good for the hot weather. And then in the cold weather, you can actually, you can still get his head out, but just to help keep some heat in there. Right on. So we just stopped at this place. Uh, I was on my way up to the, uh, Redwood run and, uh, we stopped at and I ran into, uh, Rhonda here. Let's say what's up to everybody, Rhonda. So we got scooter back there. We're going to go in, listen to a little music and check this place out. So, uh, come on with us. Stuck in just the middle of the mountain, rolling into the Redwoods. Um, beautiful. We saw a couple of big Redwood trees on the way in. Um, we're gonna keep moving up the road. See what's what right. Scooter. Right, buddy. You ready to ride? So we just got in here to this rally called the, uh, the Redwood run. I guess they do it every year and it's with the Kiwanis, which I believe is a charity organization. So they're going to see right now if they're going to let up Scooter and I camp here for the night. It should be fun if we can get it. I think Scooter, Scooter looks like he wants to go. Okay. So Scooter and I just got, uh, the green light to go inside this rally here, uh, which should be pretty cool. It's called the Redwood run. This should be pretty interesting. We just got engaged. What? Yeah, we got engaged on Thursday on the way up here. You just got engaged. Congratulations. And now you can depart. I was like, is that the Adam card that you watched the YouTube videos on? Yeah. I talked about it with all my buddies and everything. I'm like, one day I'm going to see Adam. I know I am. Rock and roll, man. Yeah. I'm just going to set up my tent and I'm going to check it out. Cool. We're right there. So, all right, perfect. We're from Orange County. Nice, man. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Here, let me set this down. Not today. Okay. Yay. So we got the tent up. Uh, now we're going to get all of our gear inside of it and, uh, see if we can't find some fun. That's where we'll be sleeping. Got that blanket in Mexico. Let's see how warm it is tonight. I don't know. Should be good. Scooter's over here getting love already. Beautiful. Is that wood on the bottom? Man, that's gorgeous. Doing good work. No? Oh, well, I'm going to have some right now. Yeah. Get it. Let us know how they taste. You're waiting for the steak, huh? You're the guinea pig. I'm the guinea pig? Who are you buying that for? My mom. You're buying it for your mom? Yeah. Okay, so that is it for today's vlog. Scooter and I are going to go get some dinner. Scooter's been having a good time. We've walked all over this party here. We have already ran into so many great friends and people that we've been looking to connect with, so it's been an awesome rally. So we're going to keep it up.
