Lauren from Makers Gonna Learn shares data-backed craft and product trends predicted to be huge for summer 2026. Based on Etsy Marketplace Insights, she highlights a shift toward screen-free, analog, and joyful designs to help crafters and sellers avoid the \"summer slump\" and increase their conversion rates.
Hello, y'all.
It is about to be summer 2026,
and I don't know about you all,
but I have been spotting some trends
that I think are gonna be huge this summer.
Now, whether you are a crafter or a seller,
I think these trends are definitely gonna be something
to keep your eye on,
especially if you are selling your crafts.
So if you are ready to learn what these are,
because I've been doing my research,
I've been keeping my eye out,
I've been looking around,
but not only that,
I've been checking Etsy's Marketplace Insights,
things like that, doing my research.
So this list is data-backed
and just a prediction on what I think you should be making
and selling this summer
so that you don't see the summer slump.
So if you are new here,
my name is Lauren and I'm a craft producer here
at Makers Gonna Learn,
where we strive to bring you inspiration,
education, and motivation.
Now, our bread and butter is working with your Cricut.
And what I'm about to show you,
you can incorporate into your designs
if you are just making.
But we also specialize in helping people sell on Etsy.
So if you have ever thought
about selling your crafts on Etsy,
we have a program specifically for you
where we walk you through the process
and teach you exactly how to sell on Etsy in 2026.
And this is just one aspect.
Learning how to spot these trends is one of those aspects
to get the selling results that you want.
So if you are ready,
let's go ahead and dive into these trends
that I think are either already popping off
or are about to really, really pop off.
So if you're ready, let's go ahead and dive right in.
Now, the first one that I want to talk to you all about,
I am going to be specifically speaking
to our digital download sellers.
And y'all, going into summer,
we know kids are out of school,
parents are at home with their children
and needing things to do with their kids.
And especially this summer,
more so having activities that don't break the bank
is going to be huge.
And y'all, look at all of these different things
that I have found on Etsy and the conversion rates,
absolutely insane.
So if you are a digital seller,
creating bundles that has like a summer camp at home,
summer activity book for kids, summer bingo,
all of these are great things to be creating
as a digital download seller.
And this is one that you need to jump on it now for summer
if it's not already too late.
But this is one that can sell
summer after summer after summer.
Especially now, we are going more away
from having these kids on the screen.
Parents are wanting screen-free activities
for their children.
This is one that I know is just going to take off
even more over the years.
And this is a great one to have that compounding effect
that you create once, you put it in your shop
and it sells over and over.
Now, it is gonna be one that is going to be
very much so seasonally related.
I'm seeing a huge uptick in parents
trying to find these screen-free activities.
So that is the first trend that I think is gonna be huge,
especially for our digital download sellers.
Now, this next trend, it's been around for a minute,
but it's still huge.
It started getting popular a couple years ago,
but people are still latched onto it.
And y'all, that's embroidery.
Whether you are actually selling embroidered items,
if you yourself have an embroidery machine
and you are embroidering shirts,
or you are a print-on-demand seller,
you should have embroidered products in your shop,
period, point blank.
No matter what you sell, if you can fit it in your niche,
I feel like you should have
embroidered products in your shop.
It is one that is just continuing to grow.
People are loving it because of the permanence.
And on top of that, to go along
with what we talked about a while ago,
going away from that screen time,
people are turning to those slow hobbies.
So it's not just embroidery.
Think embroidery, crochet, any type of art
that involves fabric and stitching,
I really think is still going to be hot
and definitely one that you should be selling
in your shop or making.
These types of products are still huge.
And don't just believe me.
Look at all of these screenshots
that I found of products that are embroidered.
Now, some of these are actually gonna overlap
with other things that we have on our list,
but y'all, any type of embroidered product,
like I said, is definitely one to be adding
to your Etsy shop if you don't have it there already.
Now, while we're talking about these types
of handmade products, let's specifically talk
about crochet and baby items,
because crocheted baby items are huge.
Y'all, just look at the conversion rate
on these listings that I have found.
If you are someone who physically does crochet,
you must be marketing to new parents
because crochet and baby items truly do go hand in hand.
That is still going to continue to rise over time.
Now, this next trend goes along the lines
of pulling back away from technology.
We have been seeing a lot of people
who are going back to more analog-type things,
journaling, writing letters, handwritten notes.
All of these things are huge right now.
So one of the trends that we are seeing
that you should be creating and try to incorporate
into your shop is stationary items.
So you can make these yourself on your Cricut,
or you can do this with print-on-demand too.
It's so easy to do, but stationary items,
like I said, we're going back to analog.
People are truly wanting to have that personal touch,
that handwritten note.
It just seems so much more personal than ever before.
So adding things like that into your shop
is definitely something that has the potential to take off.
Look at this one right here that I found.
This is a listing of just a personalized notepad
that is so easy to recreate.
If you are a print-on-demand seller, and also a journal,
these are great things to be adding into your shop.
Now, while we're on this journal,
let's talk about the composition
and this double-stacked monogram.
Y'all, I didn't think I would ever
see a double-stacked monogram truly come back
and be as popular as this one.
Here is a great example of what I'm talking about.
Here is the double-stacked monogram.
But when I went onto Etsy and looked at the data,
I was flabbergasted.
And this is something that you can do with vinyl,
two layers of vinyl with your Cricut, that is so easy.
The conversion rates on these monograms,
these double-layer monogram decals, is insane.
We're talking 5.3%.
I'm literally looking, there is not a single one here
that is, they're all great.
So obviously right now,
double-stacked monograms are coming back.
So this is definitely something you need to be adding
to your list of things to create
or adding to your Etsy shop right now.
Now, this next trend that I'm gonna be talking about
is one that I have seen for the last little bit,
but it is still on the rise.
But there we are adding in a few other newer patterns.
And y'all, this is stripes.
Stripes are still huge.
No matter what type of product they are on,
journals, phone cases, notepads, shirts,
beach towels, totes, you see stripes everywhere.
And I think stripes, not only stripes,
but stripes and polka dot and gingham,
they are still here to stay
at least for the next couple years.
So this is definitely one.
If you do not have a pattern or have something in your shop
that incorporates stripes, also wall art is huge.
I see all kinds of stripes in wall art.
Definitely, definitely something you need
to be incorporating into your shop.
Now, before we dive into these other ones,
I wanna take a break because you might be here
and you're like, Lauren,
I'm picking up what you're putting down.
I see the trends, I see the potential of selling,
or I have an Etsy shop, I see what you're getting at,
but I wanna go deeper.
If this is you, I have a training right down below
that I need you to get signed up for and take
because Etsy Unlocked is going to truly help you
market and sell what is trending
and teach you how to do that in a very streamlined process.
So don't wanna miss out.

and get signed up for the free training, Etsy Unlocked.
You're definitely not gonna regret it.
Now, let's talk about the last two trends that I have.
And the first one is animal lovers.
Now, this is one that goes across all different niches
and all different ways that you can do this,
whether you are a handmade seller, a digital art seller,
or you are doing print-on-demand products,
anything animal-related right now is huge.
Think the silly goose has been a big one.
Crabs, for some reason, tend to be taking off right now.
Anything with cats or dogs on it is huge
because we love our animals, we love our pets.
So animal-related products are huge.
And you can see here,
here are some really, really good examples
of some things that I've seen
that can show you how you can incorporate it
onto different products.
Now, the last one that I'm gonna talk to you all about
is one that is kind of more of a loose interpretation,
and that is anything whimsical or kids' core.
So this one would also somewhat be considered
like a whimsical design.
Right now, the world just seems to feel heavy
to so many of us.
So because of that, it seems to me like shopping habits,
when we are looking for something to purchase,
we are looking for something that is gonna bring us joy,
that is going to make us feel young and youthful.
So anything like whimsical, kid core.
So think of fonts that look like handwriting fonts
that are very childlike fonts.
Bright, bold, colorful palettes are huge right now.
All of those things can be incorporated
into just about any product and any niche that you sell in.
And there you have it.
Those are the trends that we are predicting here
for summer 2026 that are truly going to sell.
