The Amplified Way X Canon

My name is Michael Murphy. I'm the Media Director for Amplified Productions. Amplified Productions houses the National Dance Convention's Adrenaline Dance, Revive Dance Convention, and the National Dance Honors. When I first joined this company in 2012, I was one of the only media team content producers. Canon 60D was my primary video camera. Our event coverage since 2012 has been primarily captured on Canon cameras and that's never going to change. It's been amazing to watch as the people that have come into the fold have put their stamp on things that Canon is the consistent entity. We have nearly 20 team members in our department that are excited Canon users. They're converting from either what they were using prior or investing in the next model of what they already had. My name is Drew Dizzy Graham. I'm the Associate Media Director here at Amplified Productions. I've been with the company since 2018 and that's where I brought in my upbringing of being a lifetime Canon shooter. To be a part of a team where everyone is like-minded individuals, where there's an accountability system creatively, it's really beautiful to see us have this unspoken connected line of excellence but still utilizing the same gear and the same execution. I'm Donny Armstrong, Production Media Manager for Amplified Productions. The gear that our directors put together, Mike Murphy and Drew Graham, this is like a dream setup. The reliability of Canon, the ease of use of Canon makes our job so much easier. These dancers come on, they have two minutes to dance and we have to capture what they're doing in real time so there's no pausing and going back for photo and video. Everybody's able to contribute in a way that makes sense like on a technical level like down to the codec, down to the color science. Two people can be in a space and they capture something differently but they can synchronize together because they are Canon users. My name is Dyson Campbell, Creative with Amplified Production. There's nobody other than Canon that I would trust with capturing these events. Canon is where I feel most creative and challenged to push my boundaries. It's a crucial feeling to be familiar with the gear that you shoot and Canon is just where I feel most at home. Using these cameras has really been an outward expression of how I see it with my eyes but how I can convey it to people who don't dance. One beautiful part about Amplified is the fact that everyone has a dance background. We all come from different walks of the dance world but we're all aligned in the art form that it is. It opened a new avenue for people to want more and we had the bandwidth to expand. We're able to provide promotional materials for businesses, we're able to create work that is going to be long-lasting for the business, for the dancers. Short films to concept videos to editorial photos. Canon has really given us the space to creatively execute any project. Well now I think we have exceeded every expectation that we thought was possible in the beginning and now we just realize that there's no ceiling. We can just continue to grow and grow. It's been an exciting journey to observe and to be a part of and we're excited to continue it with Canon cameras.
