Carson Macedo wins the Hy-Vee Perks 40
at Jacksonville Speedway.
Yeah, I feel like both of us just got really,
you know, it was tough to get by the 51.
Joe Myers was, I think it was Joe Myers
or maybe it was Tor, I don't know.
Somebody, one of the lappers, I could not get by him.
He was just good enough.
He would drive back around me or cross me back over
and I just couldn't figure out how to do it.
And, you know, Spencer, I think,
got tripped up trying to do the same.
And just lappers trying to race hard.
I'm not faulting anyone.
Just how it is here.
It's a dog fight.
There's not a lot of room to pass or really make moves.
So you gotta, you know, take them into virtue.
And just hats off to this race team, man.
Phillip Dietz, Ryan McQuinn, Adam Zimmerman.
This is hometown race.
He called it a home game.
Robbie McQuinn, he's from this area, Springfield.
So he's probably got more fans here than I do tonight.
So he said that if I could win a race for him,
it'd be Jacksonville.
So just happy to get it done for him.
And, you know, his whole family's here.
So that's pretty special.
So I want to say hello to my wife, Holly, at home.
I'm sure she's watching my family
and just a huge thank you to this race team.
You know, Dennis Alba,
obviously getting us to the next level.
And I haven't been in Victory Lane quite a bit here
in the last month or even two months,
but I'm glad to put it in Victory Lane for him.
And big thanks to Mesilla Valley Transportation,
Tarleton & Son, the Sage family,
Durst Incorporated, Complete Parts and Equipment,
the Bolts family, Maxim Chassis, Factory Cane Shocks,
Kistler Engines, Scott Boyd.
Man, there's a lot of really good people.
High performance louvers, Kent Myers,
constructors, Sander Engineering.
Man, just a really great group of people.
Bandy & Associates.
It's just really good to get these guys in Victory Lane.
Feel really good.
I feel like this track is so technical and tough,
especially when you get to traffic.
It seems like you never know what's going to happen.
Yeah, I was able to get to the top before anybody else.
I don't think they knew that it was there.
And then, you know, I got just messed up in lap traffic.
Spencer was able to get by me and then he plowed the wall
in one and two, I think it was.
And I was able to cross back over and get in front of him.
And that was kind of the race.
And I knew, you know, that last restart,
when I had some clean air, I was in a good spot.
I was hoping it would lock down rubber
and it really didn't lock down rubber that much
for as bad as my right rear looks.
So, like I said, just big thanks to this team.
Tarleton & Son, Pro Powder Coat, everybody.
It's just a group effort and we're happy
to have everybody on board and happy to get them a win.
