The narrator continues their journey along the Trans Eurotrail through Sweden, heading south. After a night spent battling wet wood for a fire and a traumatic encounter with ants in their tent, they travel through the scenic Dalarna region, eventually reaching Älvdalen. Despite facing heavy rain and thunder, the traveler finds a shelter and prepares for a visit to a nearby waterfall.
Oh, I could feel something itchy a lot on my body, on my arms, on my stomach. I was like, what is it?
Hello, all my beautiful people! Good morning! Yeah, I'm packing all my stuff right now,
leaving this beautiful place to continue on the Trans Eurotrail down south a bit,
and then we will see. Today is pretty foggy outside. I opened my tent and you see it's...
So, packing all my stuff, I'm gonna have a cup of coffee and pack my tent, everything inside,
and then we'll leave. So, this place, let's leave it. Yesterday, when I came here, I
took a shower directly, but I did, because it was so warm, I was sweating the whole day.
I just jumped into the water, faced my big fear, dark, unknown waters,
and I tried to make a fire as well in the evening, but the wood was extremely wet.
I found two pieces I could use, and I was blowing and blowing and blowing,
trying to keep the fire alive. After 45 minutes, the fire was on, on! So, nothing is impossible,
eh? The other thing that happened during the night, fun fact, was that I had to go to the
ladies in the middle of the night, two o'clock. So, you know, I woke up, I stumbled out of my tent
with all my clothes on, no shoes, I only had my socks on, half asleep, and then
I did my thing. I went back to my sleeping bag and tried to fall asleep, but you know what?
I could feel something itchy a lot on my body, on my arms, on my stomach. I was like, what is it?
Then I turned on my torch, and I could see ants, a lot of ants, all over my body,
and I was like, ah! Living inside my tent, trying to get them off, run outside, trying to get off.
Oh, it's traumatic.
Okay, now I get it. It is an old hydroelectric station. You can see the wheel over there.
Wow, let's put this through here. Okay, and then we move them.
I don't know if they did this because there are something on the way over there.
Well, I'm removing it. Okay, oh, lingon!
They're pretty good. Right, so we're gonna have some lunch now, because my stomach started
making sounds in the last few days. I had super late lunches at like four o'clock, so I said to
myself, no, today I will have lunch at one o'clock, which it is, and a really beautiful spot appeared.
Okay, so I just entered the region of Dalarna. I've never been here before,
although when I was three years old, I returned to the park. Heard many good things about this region,
especially this amazing, misty waters, beautiful nature, idyllic places. I'm curious to see how it is.
Then we reached Älvdalen. So what will I do here? I will go to the supermarket
and get my dinner. See what I have for dinner tonight, I'm sure.
But I'm sure I won't have sausage, because I'm pretty tired of it.
Something different. Cute little village. I ended up in Älvdalen finally, or like outside
of Älvdalen, next to this gorgeous river. And yeah, pretty tired from today. I did a lot of
the Transuro trail, so it took a lot of my energy, but it was so much fun.
And then on the way here, the route was really scenic, the tarmac road was fantastic.
Out in the wild. So when I arrived to Älvdalen, to the supermarket, it started to pour down rain,
like a lot. And thunder came, and you know, everything happened. So I bought myself some
veggie soup for this evening. So I will cook that thing, and then I will go into my little nest
here. Oh, Sarek is behind. Have a shelter here. Yeah, so that's the plan from now.
Tomorrow I will go to the waterfall, which is just around the corner here, I think. So I will
go there, check it out if it's not raining too much, and then go further south. So thank you so
