A guide to exploring Nassau, Bahamas, focusing on a walking tour from the cruise port to Arawak Cay. The video highlights local attractions, beach spots, and the authentic \"fish fry\" experience, emphasizing the importance of supporting local vendors and enjoying fresh Bahamian cuisine and drinks.
To experience the Bahamas, you got to get in the water. What do I recommend? Yeah. My favorite
from here is the jerk ribs and the sautéed fish. This is where I'm going to show you how to get
here. Arawak. Okay. Get a sky juice and a pineapple.
Margaritaville is in town in Nassau. Over there is the Atlantis. I wonder how many people are
going there today. All right. We're back in Nassau for another tour. We're going to go
take you to the closest beach. When you're visiting Nassau, walking distance. Free. All
you got to do is pay for a couple of chairs. We're going to show you everything along the way. Let's
go, Todd. There's our ship, the MSC, but the Mardi Gras is in port today. Taxi stand right off the
cruise port. This is the new part. Just keep walking through the braided hairs and all the
stands. This might be the nicest bar you come to, to get back on the ship, the shore break.
This is the way you got to exit out to get down to the beach, but I want to see what this is. This
is new over here. The Bahama Bay pool club. See if we can go in here and just see. This must be a
place. I think this is the part that goes out to the point or it's brand new. This is going to be
a nice place right off the cruise ship. And yes, these are hot tubs with a seating area. That's
going to be where we're heading. That's Arawakay. It's probably like a 20 minute walk from the
cruise ship. When you see the colored buildings, you know you're in the Bahamas. But do you see
back there's that straw market. I got many tours, probably 12 tours here in Nassau. Make sure you're
watching all of them because we give you great tips and everything that must see,
including our top 10. Hey, which way to Arawakay? Turn left at the Senior Frogs. You want to go up
this way. Look at these banana trees here. Keep following that road and you come to the Margaritaville
and we're just going to cross here and continue that way. We're almost there. That's an incredible
mural right there. All right. This is Junkanoo Beach. You want to walk past here. But one thing
that got my attention. This guy's got the perfect life right here. Hi there. Good morning. Laying on
the beach, soaking up the sun. All right. Once you get past Junkanoo, just keep walking the path
down through because that's where Arawakay is. It's close to the fish fry. We're maybe 10 more
minutes. There's the Junkanoo Beach Bar Grill. Just getting set up for the day. That's another
little beach here with a view right past Junkanoo Beach. But we're going to get up there.
There's a pier you can walk out on. There's the coconut spot. This guy sells coconuts right out
of this stand right here. Again, we're early. We'll catch him on the way back. When you see this,
this is the path that leads you down to the fish fry. I see some chairs down there.
That's Arawakay. This is what you want in Nassau. You want your own chair. You want an umbrella.
You want a view. And you want Bahamian water. And if you get here and you see a lot of seaweed,
don't panic. These guys will clean it for you. This is Cameron McKenzie. Along the journey,
they are back with us again at the fish fry. So when you come here, you come to Cameron. Thank
you guys for coming back to the Bahamas a second time. All right. All right. We'll be back. We give
Yeah, you do. Come see Cameron. All right. Thanks, Cameron. I'm different. I know what I'm doing.
You're darn right. Yeah, we had the fish fry. This is us. I'm going to get a sky juice and a
pineapple. Yeah, they got beach chairs here and palm trees in Nassau. There's another ship coming
I think that makes six. I've seen it all. Look at this car boat.
He's pushing that car out into the ocean. Oh, my God. That's like a Lambo.
No.
It's your hair. Airwag K. There is so many restaurants right along this beach.
They'll bring it right out to your table if you want them to.
Here's Chippy's Beach Bar. Some of the best daiquiris in Nassau.
I'll tell you one thing. If you could smell the flavors through this place,
this place is called Butters. Simply the best. And there's my buddy again, Cameron. This guy.
It's your buddy Cameron again. I'm at Butters right now. Send us some drinks. You know how
it is. Five star. You know, B-U-T-T-E-R-S kitchen. Five star on Google. What do you recommend?
From Butters menu. What do I recommend? Yeah. My favorite from here is the jerk ribs
and the sautéed fish. All right. That's my favorite. OK. Now, everybody else got their
own favorite. What they love. I pick. I know what it's my. Is that your dad?
Oh, that's Papa C. Oh, OK. He was in the video the last time. I knew it. I knew it.
Along the journey. That's what they're about. You should go home with us.
There's Sonia's jerk chicken. I think this is a place Celine Dion eats.
Here's my wife. She always gets that front row spot at any beach we got to.
If you're coming to Nassau, you may want to come here. Like I said,
they serve you drinks on this beach. They will even serve you food. This is what you do
in Arawak. We paid $20 for an umbrella and two chairs. A lot of these places,
if you're eating here, they'll give you it for free. I think I put this one in my last video.
This is called going fishing. If you'd like pina coladas, they got great ones.
When you come to Arawak, get here early. You saw what it was like earlier here.
Now you turn around and this place is getting busy. There's Laura and this whole side was
empty. Now it's really full. Jet ski rentals, too. She said it's too strong.
But on the cruise, they give you a week back. Oh my God. Yeah,
show to us. We give you that. You got to taste it. What was it? I don't know. It's amazing.
We're close to the fish fry here. This is kind of like where it starts.
Wait until you see what this guy is making right at Arawak. Okay. Right next to going fishing is
this guy. He is making fresh conch salad. Oh my God. Actually pulling the conch out of the shell.
That is crazy. You don't get any fresher than this. There it is. Look at that. That is some
meat. No way. Come on. It's just a gummy. All right.
Assaulted gummy. That's exactly what it tastes like. I'll tell you one thing. This is an art.
He is like literally doing this from beginning to end. That's all the ingredients there.
You get it mild, spicy, hot over the top, which is what this is.
That's what you want to get it down to that white flesh.
Time to cut some fruit. Oh, he's smearing that all over that conch meat. Now it's business right
here. So what's in conch here? It looks like he's got some mangoes, some limes, some fresh tomatoes.
Where are you from? Pennsylvania. But I don't know. This one looks like it's the best I've ever seen.
All right, man. You're going to be on YouTube, by the way. You know,
Cameron McKenzie. We made him famous here. Now it's your turn. Oh, there we go. We got
to get some onion in there. Oh, there's the spice. Is that a ghost pepper? Yeah. Tenderize that meat.
And that's what actually is cooking this. I also do like catering, private caterings.
You know, that is a pile of salad. That's the key is to cut that meat really thin.
Yeah. You're from Nassau originally? We've been to Bimini a few times. That is the precious conch
salad you'll ever have in Nassau. No doubt about it. Oh, we're not done yet. See right there.
That's the Arawak beach. That's where we spend the day. But if you turn around 180,
that's where Butters is. Cameron's hangout. All right, here we got the ribs. Highly recommended
by Cameron and the grouper. And apparently that sauce is like famous. I will tell you,
these ribs are insanely good. He was right. They're spicy. Perfect barbecue on that.
They got ATV tours in Nassau. They're shooting a movie or something here or a video.
It's time to head back to the ship after a fantastic day in Nassau. Again, make sure
you're watching all my videos. I got ones on Blue Lagoon and everything else in between.
Everybody seems to be going back to the ship at the same time.
There's a bar right on this street. I wonder if she's going to get her candy today. She went in.
Uh-oh. They only got 14. She got it. Beautiful port.
Even if you don't get out of port, there's so much to do nearby. All right, that's a wrap. Make sure
you're coming to the fish fry. Come with Arawak K. Support the locals here. They make all this
food fresh. And like Cameron says, what we pay, the local people, you pay. Until next time,
make sure you're liking and subscribing. And have a fantastic day in Nassau.
