I accidentally bought a $5000 airplane seat

$5,000. The price of a one-way ticket to Dubai. Specifically, a business class ticket. Girl, why'd you spend that much money? So you're wondering how I got here. And it was actually really easy. I just went on the Emirates website, looked up their business class tickets, and I hit purchase. And because I purchased it online, it kind of felt like nothing changed until the guilt began to set in. And then I began wondering, can I actually change it back to economy? Because I actually am starting to feel real bad about this. And then I realized I couldn't change my ticket. And that's how I accidentally bought a $5,000 ticket. I really thought I was going to return it. I swear. So now I'm here. I guess no looking back. Let's get on this flight, shall we? Did you know that you get a free, free in parentheses, luxury car to drive you to the airport? Very fancy vehicle. I got picked up in a Mercedes Benz. Then upon arriving, I sent my luggage off and made my way to the Emirates lounge. The lounge was stocked with free beverages. I got a tomato juice because I was feeling weird and off-putting. And I also grabbed some food from their buffet because I had to get my money's worth. Why do I love that? Hear me out, lemon cookie with tomato juice. By the way, my name is Ashley and I'm actually going to Dubai to meet up with another YouTuber. He's like pretty famous. You might know him. And I kind of, that's my friend. He just walked by. Shout out. Just met you. He's head to India. He told me I'm going to have a great time in Dubai. He said the weather is going to be perfect. Let's board this flight. Literally the only time I have ever been super excited to board a 12 hour flight. Why? Because I have a lie flat seat. And yeah, I got that special entrance to the top of the plane. Basically there's two levels to this plane business and first on the top and then economy for the plebeians below. And yes, usually I am an economy. Anyways, this is my seat. It had lots of extra storage and basically was in its own little cubby. Guys, they gave me apple juice. The asthma is not really asthma-ing right now because they have such loud piano playing. It's actually like incredibly loud, but that's okay. This is in fact a lie flat seat and I am taking what is basically a red eye. So I'm hoping to get some shut eye tonight. I'm just going to chill here while everyone gets boarded on. And then after we take off, I'll give you guys a little tour. Okay? Okay, I got the champagne. I feel like it should be yummy to me, but I just don't like alcohol. And now I feel hammered. Holy crap. This is going to be a crazy flight. And they even just handed me this little makeup bag. Even offered me a hot towel. They love the towels in here actually. When I was in the lounge, in the bathroom, no paper towels, just towels. We are finally at cruising altitude. So let me give you guys a little tour of this space. So basically while we're taking off, they put down this like interesting mattress pad, which actually is so nice. So it's like a squishy mattress pad so that I can sleep throughout the duration of the flight, which I love. Also to our sides, we have these little storage compartments that open up and actually fit quite a lot of stuff. So I shoved like literally all my makeup bags, my jacket, camera, everything in there. They also dropped off a couple of other exciting things, such as a little makeup bag. What could be in here? I think I'll open it up in the bathroom when I put on my jammies. They gave me jammies. They also gave us slippers, headphones, and over here they have da ****? How are you supposed to get this out if you're da ****? I'm literally dumb. Okay, the water bottles are in jail and I can't get them out. There's an Evian water and a Perrier. Oh, they came out of jail. Evian, Perrier, sparkling water. And they gave me jelly beans, random, but I'm with it. And like a little crunchy snack mix. This looks really good. And of course this is a lie-flat seat. So if I press this button, it brings me all the way down. Also I have a TikTok ring light attached to my phone right now, which is really embarrassing. And I also feel like all the airline hostesses are judging me, but this is the type of thing I have to do when I'm making a video. Here, I'll take a little video of how my phone looks because it's actually not that embarrassing, but like to me, I have so much, like I said, anxiety around filming in public that I'm kind of like really freaked out right now, but we're doing it. I'm channeling my inner Kelly Picasso right now. So there's also a little iPad over here. Oh, it gives you a view out the window. It's some stars. You have outlets. We have another light. Twin seat 23K, which means I have a little bit more like blockage from the other seats, which I really wanted because I'm going to be filming. And so there's actually like a huge like apartment over here. I don't know what's even in here. It's giving fridge, but it's blocking this whole phone ordeal from everyone else. So that's kind of a vibe. Anyways, to me, it's looking like it's about to be jammy time. Am I fitted or what? Okay. I just got into the bathroom and I put on my jammies and they are the most squishy soft pajamas in the whole entire world. I wonder if I'm allowed to keep them. And the bathroom is so nice. It has all these different things. It has a literally a dental kit and cream. It even has perfume, honeysuckle, neroli, and citrus. It smells pretty good. Okay. While we're in here, I thought let's unbox our little makeup kit. I'm very excited to see what is inside. It's pretty gorge, deodorant, tissues, another dental kit, body lotion from Bulgari, face wash from Bulgari. And I think there's even a mini Bulgari perfume. Wow. Bulgari Coral. Outside of the bathroom, they also have this bar area that you can just come hang out in, grab a drink and walk around and everything is included, which is pretty epic. I'm back in my seat. We're waiting for the food to come out. They gave me a nice white napkin. When I was leaving the bathroom, they have a little lounge. It has cookies there. So I stole a gingerbread cookie. There's another Christmas tree shaped one, which is now in my belly. Cheers. I'm eating his leg. I also want to open up their crunchy nuts. Oh my God. I love it. It's like MSG. You can see how they're just glistening in the light. Now I guess I just wait until my food comes. Thank you. Smells amazing. This is like a little curry with rice. Smells like coconut curry. We have bread, all kinds of bread, mushroom and lentil rice. Wow. Metal silverware on the plate is literally insane. I mean, I really am a coconut curry girl, but like, I think this is the best airline that I've ever had. Like, wow. 10 out of 10. Okay. Let's try the mushroom lentil rice. Oh my God. I think it has raisins in it, which I actually love raisins. How did they know to feed me my literal most favorite thing? Coconut curry and couscous with raisins. Oh my God. I'm in heaven. Let's open up this olive oil too. I think you can't go wrong with that stuff. By far the best food I've ever had on an airline. This literally gets an 11 out of 10 for me. I'm so excited for breakfast now. After I finish this, it'll be time for me to wash my face and do a little bit of skincare. Skincare time. Of course, I'm starting by washing my face. I'm using Tatcha's matcha cleanse and then drying my face with, you guessed it, a fancy towel. Then some moisturizer I got from Bubble. Drunk elephant facial oil because it is very dry on the plane. And then of course, brushing my teeth. Okay guys, I'm finally about to head to bed. I put on some like hand cream and stuff. Right now it's like 30 a.m. eastern time and I know it's like midday. It's definitely like, it's just not a good time. Dubai time and everyone else around me has already went to sleep like way earlier. Literally every single person is asleep on this plane, except for me. I was wondering if it was light outside, but it is still dark out. I was also going to do a face mask, but I decided I've got to wait until the morning because I need to go to bed right now. So we are going to hit that lie flat position. And then this is the whole reason why I paid the big bucks is to be able to do this and to get a good night's sleep, even though I'm literally not getting a good night's sleep, which is my own fault, time zone wise at least. Oh, I'm going back. Oh my god, I can't even go to bed. This is going to be amazing. Holy crap, this is a vibe. Whoa, I'm gonna open up my bed sheets. Alrighty guys, I think it is time for bed. Whoa, if I wasn't so insane in 2018 and decided to follow my dreams and not care at all what anyone else thought, I would not be having all these amazing experiences that I am having today. And I literally would have never in a million years thought I would ever take a business class flight like anywhere. So to be flying to Dubai of all places, oh my god, I can't believe it. I'm so excited to see you guys in the morning. I'm finally heading to bed. Good night. Good morning! Okay, I just washed my face, brushed my teeth, the whole thing, and now we are about to have our little morning bev. I do think I missed their breakfast. I looked around and I saw some people eating and I was like, she didn't wake up early enough. Anyways, right now I think it's around like 5 30 p.m in Dubai, so sun is out. I'd love to see some natural sunlight. I really want to try a ginger ale matcha because I saw another girl, I think mild matches on TikTok do this and I was like, I need to try that. What I'm gonna do is I have this little honey jar and I'm gonna pour it into my earl grey tea and then we're gonna use the jar to shake the matcha. I'm opening a new tin of matcha because I'm crazy. Don't know if that was visible, but a cloud of matcha just went everywhere because I forgot that it's pressurized in the plane, so now my whole seat area smells like green tea and I got out my pants. It's finally back in stock. I feel like I need to tell you guys in this video because it goes in and out of stock so often because you guys keep selling it out, which I love you for. Also, I'm really scared because on this flight people are coughing it up, like making it up. I'm just afraid I'm gonna get sick because I feel like every time I go on the plane it just like does one on my immune system, but okay, let's scoop out some matcha and add some hot tea water. Okay, we're gonna give a good shake. Oh my god, I think this is gonna work like a charm. It's like super thick and this is so cool and like if I spilled this, oh, it's staining everything, but let's pour it. Okay, let's try it. Cheers! Well, okay, first of all, I just brushed my teeth, so that did taste a little crazy on the first sip. A little bit of chunkies in the matcha, it's fine. This actually tastes really good. I feel like the ginger really pairs nicely with matcha. I also love trying matcha drinks that don't involve milk because I feel like every recipe involves milk. After drinking it a little bit more, I'm like, wait, this is giving a nine out of ten and that's a very high rating. Anyways, I feel actually really good. I got like five hours of sleep, which I think will be enough for me for today. It will do. I really want to open up both the windows because I'm kind of awake, but everyone's still sleeping. It's like everyone's been sleeping for like 10 hours. I'm like, guys, why are you acting like Amber right now? We're about three hours out from arriving in Dubai. Jump scare! Okay, I'm literally editing right now with my face mask on and it's really funny because I feel like the stewardesses will come by and be like, oh hey, I'm Hanson Squidward, but I'm gonna leave this on for like 40 minutes, trying to get my last bit of work done. The sun finally like fully set pretty much. I think it's around maybe 6 or 7 p.m. in Dubai, so I'm landing pretty soon in like an hour or two and I'm trying to grind out my last bit of work while I can. And I'll see you guys when I peel off my mask. Thank you! Thank you, girl! Thought I missed breakfast. I didn't. This is literally chapchae with tofu on it. Um, okay. Why am I not that hungry right now? But I'm gonna eat this. Okay, look, we have what looks like deconstructed chapchae to me. It's like sweet potato noodles, sauteed vegetables, and tofu. We also have a fruit bowl and of course we have some bread and we even got some strawberry jelly, so that's epic. Let's eat this. Again, it's super good. I love that they gave me like actual chunks of tofu because I always worry about getting my protein in, especially on an airline flight. I feel like if you're a vegetarian vegan, you never get enough protein, so I am loving it. That feeling when they literally fed me all of my favorite food. Okay, let's try the muffin now. Carrot cake muffin. Amazing. Every year on my birthday, I have a carrot cake. I need to stop talking with my mouth full. I'm sorry. Apple juice. She just gave me a blueberry muffin. And just like that, I'm in Dubai and you guessed it, I get a free ride to my hotel too. And the car ride was really the highlight for me, so I didn't have to worry about getting a taxi. I genuinely really love this part of the experience. Okay, we have a BMW this time. Very fancy. Everything here is really fancy and like shimmery shiny actually, so this is like so nice in here.
