White tea is young tea that is harvested, sun-dried, and, in this minimally processed state, directly packaged.
White tea ages naturally, adding depth to flavor. These Gongmei White Tea balls are aged 3 years, deepening their natural flavor and scent.
White tea is light, very fragrant, and naturally sweet - it has great fragrance like a green tea, but more body, almost like a sweet oolong. Gongmei white tea includes both leaf and bud, so it has both fragrance and solid body as well.

Hello, tea friends. Today we're going to be drinking this white tea. I'm going to show you
how to make this gourmet white tea ball. And these come in my sampler pack. Very, very tasty. If you
want to make with a pot, you can do that too. Very easy to do either in a gaiwan like I'm using or a
pot. The first step is you want to take your tea ball, take a look at it here, and you want to
remove the foil on the outside. I know that seems basic, but I actually did have a friend who made
it with the foil on and said it tasted poorly. Tastes very bad. So first step, remove it from
the foil. I'm going to go now to the jessicam. And these tea balls, the trick is that you need
to make sure to give them a little bit extra time in this first wash to open up. You can see it's
basically full tea ball right there. I give it about 45 seconds. You can do whatever you want
while you're waiting. I should have thought of some content, but I didn't. So now we're here.
Take a look a little bit later. You can see it's starting to open up. This is good enough to pour
out for the first wash. Pour it into your vessel, or if you're pouring it from a pot, you can pour
directly into your cup and use it to kind of clean out your cup. Take a look at the color.
We're already getting this nice golden color coming out. It's going to be lighter in these
first steeps, and it'll only get stronger and darker as we go on. You can use this for a steep
on your teapets if you have them. Hope you guys have been enjoying your teapets, those of you who
have purchased them or who have them around. And make sure that you smell the fragrance on this.
Very, very nice. You can smell the fragrance in your cup or on the lid. If you have guests, you
need to be steeped at 85 degrees. And so one trick to do that, to take the water down from boiling,
is to put the water into a pitcher or some other glass or mug first and swirl it around,
or even dump it between two cups. And that will clear the water temperature up a bit. It'll take
it down to where it's appropriate for this tea. Second steep goes into the pitcher right now,
and this is the first one that you can drink. This tea will really open up as you go through.
It can do about 15 steeps in this size gaiwan. Look at that amazing color. Fantastic gold. Hope
you're enjoying it. This tea is very flavorful. It has a light fragrance,
and the body gets stronger as you go further into the steeps. So in the beginning steeps,
you'll have a little bit more fragrance. Further steeps, you'll have a little bit more body.
And very crisp and very enjoyable. Very easy drinking tea. Great for the summertime.
So hope you guys enjoyed it. Cheers and enjoy your white tea. So good.
