Hi friends! Welcome back. If you happen to be new today, I'm Robin. Welcome to another thrifting
video here on my channel. Today's video I have a little bit of everything when it comes to
thrifting. I'm going to show you guys some thrifting adventures that my friend Charlotte
and I went on. Some clips of us inside some thrift stores and then I'm going to show you
what I came home with. We'll do a quick little vintage decor haul and then I'm going to show
some snippets on how I decorated some of the things I brought home with me. So I'm so glad
you're here. If you're new today, hit that thumbs up button for me. Subscribe if you haven't already
and let's get right into the video. Okay, I'm going to start this video with some clips of
some antique stores that I went into. Well, I was on a girl's trip with my friend Charlotte
in Mississippi. We went to Laurel, Mississippi, Vicksburg, Mississippi and went to some fun little
antique places. One of them was called Peddler's Junction. That was my favorite and I believe that
was in Laurel, Mississippi. So I'll talk to you guys more about our vacation, our little girl's
trip, as I'm showing some clips of us in Mississippi. So enjoy these couple of clips
and then we'll come back and I'll show you what I brought home with me. Okay, the first place I'm
going to show you guys is the Peddler's Junction in Laurel, Mississippi. I didn't film a lot on
this trip and I didn't film a lot inside the Peddler's Junction just because I was really
wanting to enjoy every minute of it. There was so much to see. I think we spent about two and a half
hours in this place. It was so fun. The ladies here were tremendous. I always try to ask if I
can film inside a thrift store. So of course when I asked to film and they asked what I was filming
for, I told them about my YouTube channel. They immediately went on and subscribed. They were so
excited that I was there. I met a friend named Lori. She had a booth here that you'll see here
in a second. They even took our picture and put it on their Facebook page, I believe, and just tagged
me in it. It was just super, super sweet of them. So if you're ever in Laurel, Mississippi, you must
stop in here and look around. Bring your money and bring your time because there is so many things
here. We could have probably gone back like the next day and looked again. It was so fun shopping
here. So let me stop talking and show you around. This is Lori's booth right here that I'm going to
show you some clips of. Let me know in the comment section, does any of you out there follow the
YouTube channel called Home Film? It's where Erin and Ben, I believe it's named here, they have a
channel where they live in Laurel, Mississippi and they refurnish homes and just help the community
so much. Let me know if you already watch their channel. We came to Laurel, Mississippi because
of this YouTube channel. Charlotte loves them and so let me know if you also follow them. We also
went into their little mercantile shops. He has one and she has one. I didn't really get to film
in there a lot because we went to her mercantile shop. Charlotte lost her phone, so we found it,
but that kind of took up some of our time. So I didn't get to film, but we still enjoyed going
into their mercantile shops. I did get a picture of the outside of Ben's mercantile shop, but I
didn't get any footage of hers, but I did pick up a couple things inside her shop that I'll show you
guys in just a bit. Okay, what a fun little girls getaway that we had. Charlotte is a wonderful
friend to travel with. She books everything, she gets our our agendas down for the day.
We only stayed two nights this time, but we had such a fun time. It's always nice to kind of get
out of dodge, especially when you're planning a thrifting adventure. So let me show you some
things I brought home with, I came home with. I didn't bring home a whole lot this year.
My main goal was to pick up a floral quilt and I think our second day on our trip, Charlotte
filmed me one for the best price, and so we were so excited to find this beautiful floral quilt to
go in my bedroom. We went into a place called the Peddler's Market, which you saw on some of my
clips, and let me show you their little brochure. It's called Peddler's Junction. Of course, that's
going to be backwards, but you can find them. I believe they've got their social media on Facebook
and Instagram. I will put a link to them down in my description box, but they do have Facebook,
Instagram, Etsy, and then an actual website. So I'll put that down below. The ladies were so
sweet there. You see this candle that I have back here? We picked this up while we were in Laurel,
Mississippi. Pretty much Charlotte based our trip off of Laurel, Mississippi because of a
YouTube channel that she watches. I think it's called Hometown, and I was new to it. I'd never
heard of it before. I now follow them. They are a couple that I believe were born and raised in
Laurel, Mississippi, and they are just re-inventing homes and building new homes and just really
turning Laurel, Mississippi around, kind of putting it on the map, if you would.
We went into her mercantile shop, and then we went into his mercantile shop. It was so fun,
and I brought home this candle. As soon as I walked into the place, I'm like,
what is that smell? She's so smart, or the people are burning a candle while you're there. I wrote
down what it's called. It's called the Sweet Olive Blossoms is the candle that I have burning here,
and it is sensational. If you go onto their website and want to buy something, I highly
recommend this candle. I think that was the, oh, the sweatshirt. I also bought this sweatshirt
there. I'll give you a sneak peek of the whole sweatshirt. It is the most comfy sweatshirt. I
am definitely a sweatshirt girl and a pajamas girl, so on this trip, I was looking for pajamas
for sure. Did not find one pair to bring home with me. So disappointing, but I did bring home
this sweatshirt. I believe this is the lard. I like them a little comfy, and it is perfect. It
is so soft. I've already washed it several times. It did not shrink. I washed it, and I dried it,
and it is so comfy. So that's all we got at her little mercantile place, but it was such a sweet
little town. There's a place there called Williams, let's see. I'll put it on the screen.
I can't remember the name of it, but we played bingo there that night and ate some great food,
and it was just some great entertainment at that town. So we highly recommend going back
to Laurel, Mississippi and spending the night there. It was a great little time.
Okay, so let me show you guys some things that I brought home when I was thrifting. Now,
a lot of the places that we went into, they have a little boutique section, so some things are new
and some things are thrifted. So I did bring home three things that were new that I could not pass
up, and one of the items was some hydrangea stems. They were just beautiful. I couldn't resist them.
I needed some stems for summer. I love hydrangeas, and I didn't really want a colored hydrangea. I
wanted just a green, and so I was very happy to find these. I got two stems of them. So here they
are. Aren't they just beautiful? I think they're, let's see, there's one, two, three, four, five,
six. There's actually six stems in here. They are beautiful. Is the tag still on here? Yes,
they were $19.99, but I thought it was worth it because they're kind of like a real touch. They
look so real to me, and I got two bunches of them, so they were well worth my money. I'm thinking
I'm going to put these on my green vases that are in the living room. I've got one on the mantle
and one on a side table, and they now just have kind of some white florals in them, and I think
these green hydrangeas are going to look really good down inside with those plants or those stems
I already have in there. So fingers crossed when I go to decorate with these. They're going to look
as good as I think, but if they don't, I brought home several pictures that you'll see here in a
that these could definitely fit into anywhere in the house. So these were new items, and then
another new item that I picked up was this beautiful faux plant with this white kind of
a terracotta pot. I instantly thought this would look so good on the mantle. I don't do a lot of
color for summer in the living room. I do in the kitchen. I love adding strawberries in my kitchen,
but I thought this would look really good on the mantle to add some color, and there's just nothing
better than a faux plant that you can kind of move throughout your house, move throughout the
season, use it for every season, and so I love, you know, just a neutral faux plant, and I could
not pass this up. I thought it was just great, and then one more new item that I got that's actually
sitting over here is this sweet little plant. I think the heat was like four dollars, but these
look so good just kind of tucked into a little vignette somewhere. When you're not real sure how
to complete a vignette, I am a strong believer of adding greenery when I make all my little kitchen
vignettes and everything I make throughout the house, and sometimes I just can't quite get it
right, and I need just a little something to kind of stick in there, and so this I think is going to
look really good in one of my summer vignettes in the kitchen, on my kitchen hut, on the countertop,
on the coffee table, just another versatile plant that would pretty much go anywhere throughout the
house, so I couldn't pass this up. I would have gotten a couple of more, but this was the only
one they had left. I mean, for four dollars, goodness, so sweet. So those were the only new items that I
picked up. The rest are going to be thrifted items that I picked up at thrift stores. Now, a lot of my
friends love to go to Goodwill and to Salvation Army and places like that. I like to go more into
thrift places that have everything kind of displayed, set up, you know, perfectly. I don't
really like to dig through stuff. I just want to walk by, look and see what you have. Let me know in
the comment section if you're a Goodwill, Salvation type of person that really likes to hunt for a good
find, or if you're more like me, you like to go into a place that's already kind of curated and
look through what they have. I get a lot of ideas going into places like that. You know, they
arrange things with books and clocks, and they kind of give you ideas of how to decorate with
their decor. I love, love, love that. So here's a couple of pictures that I picked up. I am all about
a white creamer, a white pitcher, white dishes. I love them so, so much, and they're another
versatile thing that you can use throughout the year, and that's probably the number one thing
on my thrifting list when I go thrifting is trying to find a white creamer. I love ironstone. Nothing
I picked up today was ironstone, but that's okay, but I do love white ironstone. But let me
show you what I picked up first. My favorite, I guess, great find at a great price was this beautiful
pitcher with a little floral print on there. And y'all, I got this one for, it was originally $18.95,
and I got it that day for $8.95. I love the prices on here. Just so y'all could see what a great deal
I got on this. Oh, it is such a great size. Here's my hand. A beautiful size. I love the handle.
I love the spout on it. Look how gorgeous that little scallop looked is. It's plain on the back,
so if I don't want to use it, you know, with the floral showing, I could just use the plain side,
but I could not pass her up. She was a beauty, and it's going to look so good. And I'm probably
going to put this on my dining room table. There's lots of places I could use her, but I think that's
where she's going to go. Okay, so another pitcher that I found was just another cute little scallop
one. Look how precious this one is. Again, the great little handle, the great little opening,
the scallop looked, the scalloped look. So pretty, and there's no markings on that one.
So, but she is a cutie. And again, these are things I love picking up because I create lots of vignettes
in my house, and this could go in a vignette in the bathroom, in the living room, in the kitchen,
on my kitchen hutch. This is just a great piece that can go anywhere in the house, so I'm excited
to use this one. And you could even use it without having stems in it. You know, you could use it
in your bathroom for your makeup brushes or, you know, on your desk with some pretty little pins
in there. So this could just be used anywhere in the house. So these are hard for me to pass up,
but so, so sweet. I was going to look and see if this one has any markings. No, this one doesn't
have any markings either. So I know you guys that know what you're looking for.
You like to see markings if they have any, but these do not have any markings.
Okay, I did a lot, not a lot, but I added in a pretty good bit of blue for springtime, and I
want to continue that during the summer in my living room. So I saw this beautiful little blue
vase. I love the floral print on it. I love that it was blue and white. So pretty, and I think I'm
going to put this on my coffee table in my living room with some pretty little stems.
I have a wooden, I have a vintage wooden sconce in my living room, and I usually just have a candle
in there. And I found this, this beautiful little green votive. If they'd had two of them, I'd have
picked, or if they'd had three of them, I'd have picked up some more because I've got some sconces
throughout the house I could use. But I only have this one sconce in the living room, and I thought,
you know what, this would really add some sweet color for summer there. Put a little tea lot in
there. So I picked this up to go on that sconce by the barn, by my barn picture, but I thought it was
just beautiful. I got this one for four dollars. It was just a great steal. I think I got it so
cheap because it didn't have a matching set, but I love this so much. So this will look really good
to add a touch of, again, color in the living room. And then last but not least, another item that I
love looking for when I go thrifting, and that is baskets. All types of different styles of baskets.
I just, it's hard to pass up a great basket. I did pass up a lot this weekend, but I did bring home
two with me, and I'm so excited about them. So let me show you these two that I brought home.
The first one I brought home, I have not seen one like this, especially with this beautiful green,
with this little handle. The lady that was checking me out, this actually had came from
her booth. How did I get this far? I got this for $8.95, but she called this a Nantucket
basket. I don't think it's got any markings on it. It doesn't have any markings on it,
but that's what she called it. She called it a Nantucket basket, but it is beautiful.
And if you've been around, you know that green is my home decor color. I love green. It's just
my favorite. And I thought, as soon as I saw this, I thought this would look really pretty either
on my top of my refrigerator or on top of my kitchen hedge with a really pretty plant in it.
I've got a little stool by the front door. It would look pretty there with a little plant in it,
or just pretty much anything in this, just by itself. But it is a great little versatile basket
that's going to look so good somewhere in my kitchen or dining room as far as summer. Okay,
and then the second basket I picked up is this little great little basket. It's very hard. It's
not soft at all, but I love the way it was shaped. I thought it would look really pretty. I even
thought on my hearth. I'm always looking for a cute basket to go on my hearth. A real plant
would look really pretty with this or even these stems. How pretty would these stems look?
Okay, friends, that's all I'm going to have for you in today's video. I sure hope you enjoyed
