AI GeneratedBrian shares his approach to maintaining high productivity, arguing that relying on motivation is a mistake because it is unreliable and fluctuates based on mood and energy. Instead, he emphasizes the power of consistency and structure, revealing that his \"secret sauce\" is the simple habit of using a daily checklist to reduce mental friction and ensure steady progress.
Many people ask me the question, Brian, how do you get so much done? And my answer is that I stay
productive. So in today's video, I want to give you my honest opinion. My secret sauce is not
motivation. My opinion is that motivation comes and goes. Like some days I'll feel focused, other
days not so much. Like I feel like that's normal. But listen, I just want to share this with you.
It's been one simple habit that's made a huge difference in my life to stay productive even
when I'm not feeling motivated. And you're not going to believe it because it's something just so
extremely basic. I use a daily checklist. Like that's my secret sauce. Like that's how I stay
productive. By using a checklist, it gives me structure, it gives me consistency and clarity
in my day. And I just want to say that I think one of the biggest mistakes that people make is
waiting to feel motivated before taking action. And the problem is that, again, this is just my
opinion, I believe that motivation is just unreliable. Like I've noticed that your motivation
is going to change depending on, at least for me, my mood, my level of stress, sleep, distractions,
emotions, your energy levels. Like if you only work hard when you feel inspired or at the top
of your game, then yeah, your progress is going to be inconsistent because you're not always going
to feel like that at the top of your game or at your very best. So you might have one
productive day and then lose momentum for let's just say the next three days afterwards. But then
the thing is that you already know that making progress in just about anything is all about just
consistency. So I just want to share with you what I've personally observed, that productive people
usually create more structure in their daily lives. Instead of waking up and wondering like
what should I work on today? They already know like there's a plan, there's organization, there's a
direction. And that reduces your mental friction. And when you write down clearly in front of you
what you need to get done today, it becomes easier to take action even when you don't feel motivated.
And that's I'll tell you like that matters much more than people realize. Because most progress
in life, it doesn't come from massive amounts of inspiration. It usually comes from small actions
that are repeated consistently over time. And if you think about it, that's going to be true for
many things in life. Building wealth, fitness, business, investing, learning skills. It's like just
about everything. Consistency matters more than intensity. So I just want to share this with you
about me. Like one thing I've noticed about myself is that when I try to mentally juggle too many
things at once, like my productivity suffers or I just flat out forget to do something. Because
I mean your brain is constantly trying to remember just the tasks themselves, the priority, like which
one takes priority over the other, deadlines, responsibilities. And I just want to say that
eventually it becomes mentally overwhelming, at least for me. I just assume that this happens
to other people as well. And then a lot of days, like I'll stay busy. I'll stay busy all day long,
but sometimes I say to myself at the end of the day, like 5 p.m rolls around, and I'll say to
myself, like what did I do all day? Like what did I get done? And it just got to the point where one
day I told myself that, you know what, I just I need a checklist. And I want it to be pen and
paper. I want it to be old school. I don't know, because there's something about just so satisfying
about crossing it off your your list, you know, once you get it done. And I told myself I'm going
to take it seriously. I'm going to be productive. I'm going to get things done. Now I just want to
take a few seconds to share this personal experience with you. Like one thing that people
may not realize is that I don't magically feel productive every single day. Some people think
that I wake up every morning just so pumped up, so pumped up for life, just motivated, so motivated to
get things done. But that's not the case. Like yes, I do enjoy working on my business. I enjoy going
to the gym, learning new things, meeting new people. I do. But sometimes I just I don't want to do
anything. Like I feel unmotivated. Like I just want to, I just want to relax. I just want to watch
Netflix. I just want to doom scroll. I just want to do nothing. But the problem is that I want results.
I want progress. I want to, I want to get things done in life. So with that being said, I created
my own checklist. Okay, so why did I create my own checklist? Was it to just make a new product to
sell to everyone to make a ton of money for myself? And my answer is no, absolutely not.
I'll tell you, like if you want this checklist for free, you can go to my website. I'm going to leave
a link for you down below. You can download the checklist template for free, absolutely free, no sign
up. You know, I don't even want your email. I don't want your information. Like I don't care. So just
take it for free. It's my gift to you. Like I know that you will become more productive and this is
going to help improve your life. But I want to tell you this, like this is what happened. I created my
own checklist because I wanted to buy a simple checklist to help me stay organized and stay
productive. But you know, I was looking everywhere and it just literally did not exist on the market.
Not the way that I wanted it to be set up. So they're all like the ones I came across were a
combination of planners or calendars with a to-do list. And no, like I'm not looking for a hybrid.
Like I'm looking for a productivity checklist to help me stay disciplined, focused, and to get
things done. Like that's my, that's what I want. But that product, it didn't exist. So I made my own.
So I just want to say again that you can download it for free on my website. But if you want the
official productivity checklist or you just want to show support, I'm going to leave a link for you
to get it on Amazon. I'm going to leave that link for you down below. Okay so I just want you to know
that I designed this productivity checklist myself. Like I'm proud of it. I know that it may look
boring, but I'm telling you it's effective. Like I designed it to be effective. So if you look at it,
you're going to think like, wow, this is so Clear Value. This is so Brian. Just cutting out the fat
and the noise and just getting straight to the point. Like that's how it is. So I just want you
to know that I intentionally kept it simple with a clean layout. It's 180 pages long. So if you're
going to use a checklist every single day, then this is going to last you for six months. So
there's going to be separate sections for work, personal life, and self-improvement so that you
can make progress in every part of your life. And I wanted an original inspirational quote
at the top of every page to help and motivation. So I thought that was important. So I really
wanted that and well, I did it. But listen, I just wanted to give you something practical, something
clean, simple, and just easy to use. The goal is not perfection. The goal is staying consistent
so that you get closer to your goals, whether they may be related to work, personal, self-improvements,
or financial goals. And honestly, I think many people underestimate how powerful consistency
becomes with time. And I'm telling you, get this checklist. Get it for yourself. Get it as a gift
for a friend or family member that you want to help. Because I'm telling you, like sincerely,
this checklist, it's helped me stay disciplined and productive. Like it's made a really big
difference for me. And I just want to end by telling you this. At the end of the day,
nobody feels motivated all the time. And honestly, like that's okay. The goal is to create habits
and structure to help people continue moving forward even when motivation disappears. Because
meaningful progress usually comes from consistency. And you know that's true. Like that's true
financially. That's true professionally. That's true personally. And honestly, sometimes the
simplest habits end up making the biggest difference. Thank you for watching. Please
check out the links below. And I wish you a great day. Take care.
