Never Cast The Golf Club AGAIN - These 2 KEYS Are All You NEED!

So I just want to be making sure I'm remembering those two keys when I make a swing such there nice and smooth all the way through to finish. Well that was really pure. If you're that type of golfer that gets into the top of their backswing the first move they tend to make is this casty sort of move in the downswing and then it causes you to either duff the shot, thin the shot, lean back, lean forward, do all sorts. There's two main reasons for this which I'm going to dive into. Welcome back to the channel if you're fairly new, welcome to How You Shore Golf, a YouTube channel based on golf tips and the odd club reviews. So make sure you hit that subscribe button down in the bottom corner so you stay tuned to all the golf content coming your way. And in this video I'm going to be showing you two simple ways of how we can stop casting in the golf swing. So let's dive straight into it. Number one, I tend to see a lot of golfers when they make their backswing the tendency is for the left arm to bend and the main reason why is because they're not rotating properly. So it's important that we're making sure we're giving ourselves plenty of room to hit the golf ball. A lot of people stand too close, then they can't rotate, get their back facing towards the target and get that proper turn that we're looking for. Another way they can make a full swing is by bending this left arm here. The only way they can start the downswing now is by casting out like this to make sure the left arm stays straight. So make sure that when you're setting up to the golf ball you've got plenty of room, give yourself at least another inch or so away from the golf ball and then you're going to put the club across your shoulders and you're going to try and make sure that this part of the club is going to point towards the ball as you make your turn. And you can see there I'm not turning this way, I'm not turning this way, I'm making sure that that butt end of the club where the grip is is going to be pointing towards the golf ball when I make the turn back. Now if I take my club and grip and try and make a full swing by doing this and just feel like that club's still going to be on here, it's going to point towards that ball at the top of my backswing, it's a lot easier now for me to keep that left arm straight. This is going to stop us from going that way with our arms. You can see there this arm is flexed, now it's extended. So it's important that when we get into the top of the backswing this left arm is fully extended. You can see there it is really good position at the top of the backswing. So there's tip number one. Moving on to tip number two and you're in a great position ready to fire that golf club now. The tendency is still there sometimes with the wrist to then cast that way as well, which we also don't want. It's actually worse doing this than doing it using the arm because then what happens is we do this and then I start to turn now and I create loads of height in the golf ball or I'm just going to thin it and it's not going to look very nice. So you're in this position here in the top of the backswing and I want you to almost feel like as you start making a turn down you're trying to get the club head to touch your right shoulder and you could see there there's a little move I did using my wrist. So I hinge the wrist more in the downswing phase. I'm creating more lag so you're going to get to the top do this as a drill and then as you start to turn that's going to hinge a lot and then it's going to be a lot easier for you then to actually release the club in the correct way on the downswing and striking that ball pure. So I just want to be making sure I'm remembering those two keys that was really pure. So go ahead and give this a try let me know how you get on by commenting down below and why not check out this video out here which will teach you how to hit higher shots out of greenside bunkers.
