This is the Comflest Shoe Ever?! Li-Ning Red Hare 9 ULTa Review!

Yo, what up guys i'm sammy and welcome back to the soul drop and today i'm gonna be doing a review on the leaning Red hair 9 ultra. So this is a running shoe and it's basically a long distance running shoe. It's freaking crazy guys So I did get this over at kick zone and over at kick zone It retails from like 115 to like 130 bucks, which is an insane price for this shoe I don't know how they're selling for this price, but they do have multiple colorways And again, it's a very very nice price, especially for the tech that you're getting Uh, it really surprised me. You know what I mean? And also i'm not really a runner I do run of course for cardio, but not a lot not super often You know what I mean? So this is a little bit more like a casual review, you know, I mean how comfortable is this shoe? I'm, sorry if i'm a little bit late in replying, but Yeah, let's get started right off with the traction And for the traction they are using gcu and bro. Oh my gosh. It has amazing traction I don't know what it is You know with all the running shoes that have like gcu that i've tried has freaking phenomenal traction But sometimes in the hoop shoes the gcu that they're using is a little bit weird You know like the gamma 2 for example slides a little bit, you know what I mean? But in literally every single running shoe, uh that I tried, you know from like leaning has freaking phenomenal traction Like just trying it on my wood floors, but also different surfaces I I wore this at the mall with like that tile like marble surface And it bites through that, you know what I mean? So, uh has freaking amazing grip guys I don't know what they did with the compound, but it's absolutely phenomenal And if you look at the thickness, it's very thin, you know, and we'll get into the weight But this is a very very lightweight shoe, you know what I mean? So with the gcu with the rubber outsole, that's what takes a lot of the weight of a shoe most of the time So in running shoes, especially long distance running shoes, they try to keep that to a minimum So they try to you know, really make it thin for the actual outsole but with gcu of course gcu supposed to be a little bit more durable than traditional rubber and supposed to have a lot better grip through a Multiple different first of all terrain right but also multiple different surfaces like wet surfaces dusty surfaces and stuff like that So, um, yeah again has very good grip and also should be pretty durable because it is gcu They are also cutting out some holes for obviously trying to make the overall shoe a little bit lighter weight as well Uh, but yeah, the traction is freaking phenomenal I mean obviously with long distance running you're if you're just running in a straight line You don't really need too much traction like really good grip Um, but yeah with the gcu has really good grip and I guess you know If you are casually walking around in these like you're gonna make this shoe your like Main running shoe or like comfortable casual shoe or something like that Which I definitely feel like you can the durability should be good as well because again, it is using gcu. So Um, yeah, there is the outsole they're moving on to the heel to transition holy crap guys, um, it's freaking amazing First of all, I mean in running shoes, they really exaggerate the rocker shape You know what? I mean? And this shoe is no exception. It's freaking insane how curved the shoe is, right? So here in the heel first of all, we have a crazy curve shape as you guys can see but also Look at the freaking midsole guys. Look at how freaking chonky it is You know what? I mean? Not only is it chonky is freaking soft. It's hella soft. It's so freaking soft So you have a crazy amount of compression here in the heel as as well as this curve shape So it's super freaking smooth very very soft here in the heel coming into the forefoot. Look at that Look at look at that guys. It's just a crazy rocking shape, right? So it feels extremely smooth and also they're not using carbon fiber in this shoe They're saying it's a probar lock fiberglass plate and it's supposed to be a wing shape as well That's sandwiched in between the actual foams giving you a nice snappy feel as well But yeah, it still has good torsion support and it still has a nice stiff feel too So it has a supportive feel on the foot and also not only that the actual cushion has a crazy bouncy feel so not only is it really smooth because of the shape but it like really propels you forward because The freaking cushion is so bouncy and it has a crazy amount of rebound back, right? So there's that now moving on to the cushioning setup, which is my favorite part about this shoe. It's Phenomenal in my personal opinion, right? So I haven't fully tested like the nike running shoes like the vermeros or something like that You know what I mean? But i've tried them on in stores with like the crazy thick zoom x midsole, you know what I mean? So i've tried those and they're still extremely soft and very very comfortable, right? But from what I remember it's not super bouncy or it's not as bouncy as this shoe, right? This shoe is crazy for the bounce and for the actual foam that they're using they're using three different types of foam, right? So underneath or like on the bottom it's using boom, right? It just looks like a regular boom foam It looks a little bit like boost actually, right? So that feels really nice and then this red foam is what's very very interesting So they're saying this is the super boom capsule midsole It almost looks like plastic is very very soft and I think that's what's giving you a crazy amount of bounce So they're saying it has a three millisecond response time, which is insane. That's extremely fast But also they're boasting a 95 percent energy return Well, like I don't know how you get such a high number, but they're saying it's 95 percent energy return So that's insane and then on top of that they have super boom So super boom super boom capsule and then just regular boom So, uh, yeah, the foam is freaking it's triple stack triple density and it's crazy guys So first of all, it has a crazy amount of compression, right? So from that it's really really soft But then like I said, not only is it super soft for the compression, but the bounce is insane too So it really propels you forward It actually has a crazy amount of bounce and not only is it here in the heel But especially in the forefoot it looks like they made the capsule like this red part the foam here A lot thicker here in the forefoot as well. So even in the forefoot it really propels you forward So when I was running, it's really bouncy. It's soft. I literally felt no impact You know what I mean? It feels like the actual foam absorbed all the impact and then was propelling me forward So when I was doing like not not sprints, but just regular jogging it felt extremely soft Very very comfortable right and again a lot of long distance runners feel like that You know what I mean, but also just casually wearing these around like I went out with my girl, you know, she loves boba So i'm like, okay, we always get boba and stuff like that and I was wearing these I was like, yo, these are so freaking nice I was like bouncing and jumping in these and then my girl's like dude, what are you doing? You know what I mean? Stop, you know, but um, yeah, I had such a good time just like, you know, waiting in line waiting for the boba or whatever You know walking around the mall and I was like dude, this is crazy It's so comfortable. It's so bouncy and like wanted like I wanted to keep walking. That's how crazy these were You know what I mean? So it kind of also reminds you of like the nike running shoes I forgot what they're called but has a crazy curved shape and it's really really soft and again, like of course obviously for the overall footer your health you do want to wear like a Like a minimal like barefoot shoe once in a while, of course but if you're looking to Like maybe you're going to disneyland and you're gonna be walking around all day and you want something extremely comfortable, right? Also bouncy. This is a great option in my personal opinion. First of all the rocking shape, you know, it keeps you Walking and stuff like that. But also the cushion is extremely freaking nice, right? also for the insole they are using a super critical foam it seems like and then uh underneath that they are using a Traditional strove board so the step and comfort isn't the softest ever But it's still really comfortable Especially once you do get going and the underfoot cushion again has a crazy amount of balance underfoot. So yeah, uh Crazy cushioning setup and I definitely feel like for 120 to 130 bucks This is one of the greatest deals that you can get right now. You know what I mean? So there is a cushioning setup. They're moving on to the upper. So the upper also is extremely nice So they are saying it's a boom silk upper. It's supposed to be very lightweight and extremely minimal obviously, but also tear resistant And yeah, it's basically it just looks like a regular mesh material, right? It does seem like there is a very thin layer of like screen mesh like glued on top of that as well But look at that. It's a really really thin very very soft material It is a little bit more filled in in terms of the actual material, you know Going around the toe box for extra durability and support. Of course. It's not a fused material However, you know, they just filled in the actual gaps inside of this material, right? And then also going through the entire toe box. You do have this these two lines of synthetic material Um, but yeah overall again, it's really soft very very well ventilated and it stays the exact same here in the midfoot area We do have the leaning logo here on the lateral and medial sides of the shoe and also for the tongue It has zero padding, you know, I mean that's pretty much every single running shoe They want to keep it very thin very well ventilated very minimal, right? but also it's kind of like a half booty construction tongue, but not really because it's just held in place by these two like Mesh materials that are stitched to both sides of the top It's a very thin material as well. It's kind of like a strap almost but it does keep it in place And uh, also you can see the actual material It makes like a very long rectangular shape, right? And then also again as you guys could have guessed it has very minimal padding here in the ankle area Just a tiny bit on top of the ankle right over here. Uh, it has a nice cupping shape So there's no heel slippage or anything like that And it says boom fiber right over here and it says red hair 9 ultra here on the lateral side And we do have a like a nice origami graphic on the right shoe, but on the left shoe We have the leaning logo, right? So yeah, the overall quality of the materials also feels very nice You know what I mean? But obviously for a long distance running shoe They want to give us a very lightweight very thin material and also something very well ventilated which is what they did here So which is something that's weird is that they give us kind of like an internal tp heel counter Yeah, you don't really see this too much because in usually in long distance runners, uh, they keep this really soft you know because you don't need support, uh on the sides, especially also here in the heel because If you're just moving forward, you don't need too much Support on the sides, but they did give us an internal tpu heel counter, which is pretty weird, right? If you look at the other shoe From leaning right over here. They actually didn't give us anything. You know, it's a really really thin material here in the heel You know what I mean? So, uh They did give us a little bit more support here, which I think is a pretty nice touch So, uh, there is the upper they're moving on to the fit So I went true to size and this shoe fits me extremely well, right? So yeah here in the toe box It's a nice snug fit lengthwise. It's good as well And also for the width it does get a little bit narrower here at the tip of the toe But it does get a little bit wide right over here. So it's not super duper snug, you know what I mean? So I feel like most people you should be fine going true to size You're gonna have a nice snug comfortable fit if you do have a wider foot. However, you should go up half a size So, uh, yeah, there is a fit there and moving on to the weight of the shoe This shoe is again extremely freaking lightweight Which of course is something that you need in a long distance runner and this shoe comes in at 7.55 ounces Holy crap guys, and the other shoe is also 7.55 ounces, so yeah 7.55 ounces is extremely freaking light and this shoe is also extremely freaking light and the foams that they're using are also Very low density foams, you know what I mean? So the main thing that you notice however Is that you're extremely tall because the midsole is so thick you get like two to three inches of extra height Which is I guess it's very very nice. You know, if you do want to be a little bit taller Um, yeah again extremely freaking lightweight very very minimal for the upper But again, like you are pretty high up off the ground So there is the weight there and now moving on to the aesthetics. I feel like it looks pretty good You know, it's a very I feel like it's a pretty basic design though You know, there's nothing amazing about the design of this shoe I feel like in my personal opinion, but it does look very clean It looks pretty basic. Yes guys for the price this is one of the best shoes that you can get especially for comfort like if you want something to wear casually and Again, if you want something extremely comfortable and very very bouncy and it's just something insanely crazy This is a very very nice option but also for running if you are doing long distance running maybe like a couple of miles and you want something really soft and Also very explosive and bouncy then this is also a very nice option Obviously not for sprinters not for someone who's really looking to work out and do some crazy workouts in you know Like lateral movements or something like that But if you are looking for you know, like just like a really long distance running You're just running in a straight line and this also is a great option, right?
