Welcome back everybody to another episode of our weekly Moto News Roundup. With this time around
we've got new bikes from Enfield, Harley, BMW, Honda and CFMoto. News from Triumph and CFMoto
again but this time with regards to Moto2. Industry news from Harley, Enfield and Yamaha.
And we'll round off with a look at a competition that BMW are running and it's got to be said it
But first up a massive thanks to subscriber Andrew Bell who managed to get this picture
of the new Continental GT that we know that Enfield have been working on or to be more
specific it was his wife Alison who managed to snap it out the window while he was driving.
This is the rumoured 750 version so it's gonna have a little bit more power.
Twin discs up front as well now too and in the last Spy Shots that I showed a couple of weeks back
it looked to get the round TFT dash that it inherits from some of the other models in their
lineup like the Himalayan 450. Interestingly though on this particular photo well this kind
of half-faired version looks to actually get the twin clocks and so I think that would be welcome
news to a lot of retro fans who don't really seem to care much for connectivity and menus and those
sorts of features. So yeah maybe they're planning a couple of different specs or maybe it'll be
spec'd differently here in the UK because you see most Spy Shots that we've seen so far have either
come directly from India or from the bike being tested out in Europe. This one though well they
captured it while they were driving up our very own M6 and so look while Enfield do have R&D in
the UK well it is nice to see some of these new bikes being tested here. I guess probably things
like heated grips ABS TC they'll get a good evaluation at this time of year but yeah a
massive thanks to Andrew and Alison for sending those in and of course if anyone else spots any
bikes out on the road then do send them over. Meanwhile Harley Davidson have unveiled some
pics of a cafe racer concept on social media and to be honest I can't really quite decide if I like
this one or not so I'd love to know what you think of it down in the comments. They've called it the
of course referencing cafe racer but the RM at the start references the revolution max engine
being the same 1250 version that makes about 150 horsepower as the one you'll find in their
panamerica adventure bike. This sort of cafe racer style bike though is a lot more stripped back
with 17 inch wheels some sporty suspension and brakes and also a very slick looking Akrapovic
exhaust system that comes out at either side. Then you've got the carbon bodywork which does
help to elevate the look it's got the cafe racer inspired mini fairing the tail section too and so
yeah I do think it looks like it could be a bit of fun although I think you can kind of tell that
it's derived from an adventure bike because of the slightly tall stance to it so maybe a full
production version if they did ever get to it would look a little more you know well set and
to be fair they say on instagram well they say it's a modern interpretation of the xlcr cafe racer
but also the feedback line is open what do y'all think so maybe if they get enough nice comments
on instagram you never know they might make it. Meanwhile BMW have taken a stab at a muscle bike
with a new race ready version of their r1300r naked it was only last week that we covered a
custom r1300r from a third party but this one's by BMW and it's specifically to be raced at the
Daytona 200 this weekend in the super hooligan class and they say they've built it to commemorate
Steve McLaughlin's win in the very first super bike race at Daytona 50 years ago aboard an r90s
now mods to this one include the brakes and front wheel from their m1000rr top spec sports bike
again an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system which looks very nice and then also suspension that's
upgraded from Wilbur's with a 30 millimeter longer fork which they've done to give it more ground
clearance which i assume was a little bit limited by that big boxer twin looked pretty cool to me
and who would have thought you'd have a bmw r1300r that looks a bit like a super duke on top of that
though this week bmw france announced a couple of special editions of their f900s although
unfortunately it doesn't look like they'll be available elsewhere the first one is the xr
tourer which they've made available in this aurelius green and i think this color was available
on the m1000xr but it does look absolutely class i think it really works on this 900 as well the arm
the naked version they've made that available in frozen gray i'm less bothered about this one it
could have been a bit more daring perhaps for a limited edition but all the same for our viewers
in france if you were considering either of these bikes then at least that's a couple of new color
options for 2026 one of the most anticipated bikes this year though might well be honda's
new little super 4 that should offer you know a bit of revvy fun and also it's got this rather
nice looking semi-retro styling package now so far it's only actually being confirmed for the
chinese market because it'll be produced there and it was i think it was the beijing motor show
last year where they announced it but just this week they've posted this teaser with regards to
the upcoming tokyo motorcycle show and so yeah almost certainly it looks like the super four
will be confirmed for japan and so i'm hoping that's the start of a broader global rollout
speaking of revy little inline fours though cycle world just published the full details of cf moto's
500sr now this one was first teased back in 2023 along with the 675 version but since then although
the 675 has been launched there hasn't really been much on this one weirdly though they did make the
500sr boom which is basically the same bike but just with that part modern part retro styling
job with the air intakes on the front they're very distinctive inside those round drls that
one was just for china and a couple of other markets but it looks like the regular 500sr this
one will be more broadly available and it sounds like as well from the information they've got from
the approval documents that it could be pretty good 78 horsepower peak they're saying at 12 500 rpm
peak torque arrives at 10 000 rpm so you're really gonna have to wring its neck to get it to go quick
and also it's said to come in at about 185 kilograms which i think is reasonably light for
this class of bike so yeah definitely one to keep an eye out for although i do think that voom
version looked more interesting more distinctive this looks a bit more generic and so personally i
wish they released that one instead which one do you prefer though let me know in the comments
anyway moto gp is back on our screens and that means moto 2 is back on our screens as well being
the undercard and again trying for the engine provider for this particular series with their
excellent 765 triple now to mark the occasion of the new season they've announced two prize bikes
one going to the moto 2 rider with the most standout performances as voted for through their
website by the fans and the other just going to a random member of the public who enters this free
prize draw and it's not just any old bike it's the 765 street triple moto 2 edition only a thousand
of these will be made this year as well and so that's quite the prize definitely a bike i
personally wouldn't mind winning and so do head to the triumph website if you go to the racing
section then moto 2 then triumph triple trophy well it's there that you can sign up and vote
for your favorite rider each round and also get entered into this giveaway on top of that though
in the same press release they also announced that they're about to start testing 100% non-fossil
fuels ahead of some regulation changes coming to moto gp in 2027 now they say they've already
successfully tested 40% non-fossil fuels but of course more testing is required for the 100%
for performance and also durability then another thing that popped up about moto 2 this week is
visor down report that cf moto have just snapped up a majority stake in a company called calex
a german firm who've actually been responsible for the moto 2 chassis since 2010 so certainly
cf moto seem to be taking racing more and more seriously and they were even linked recently with
a move up to moto gp at some point so perhaps that is becoming increasingly likely anyway let's
rattle through some industry news now and harley davidson have just announced that their homecoming
event which is a sort of big festival in milwaukee will be postponed till at least 2028 they've been
doing it annually since 2023 so for the past three years and it's a big festival vibe with music and
rides and everything that you'd want as a big harley fan including some pretty big acts they've
had green day food fighters red hot chili peppers the offspring and so yeah it was enough to pull in
for the first edition in 2023 apparently though attendance has been dropping over the past few
years and also harley are hardly booming at the moment we've seen their financial results and
they're struggling and so they've decided to switch this event now to every five years with
the next one being in 2028 to celebrate harley's 125th anniversary meanwhile enfield have got a new
ready to ride scheme for new riders with which you can finance a new gorilla 450 plus the riding
gear plus the a2 license process all as one package so look it can be really expensive to
actually get through the test get all your gear before you even think about the bike
and so it's really good to see them trying to get new riders on bikes meanwhile i'm sure we've all
heard of the adventure experiences that a lot of the major manufacturers offer where you get to try
their bikes off road but this year yamaha are trying something a little bit different for
anybody who doesn't fancy getting covered in mud with a new touring experience that they've just
announced this week they've got guided multi-day tours on their tracer 7s and tracer 9s with a
choice of routes that cover both wales and also the scottish highlands so both very much worthy
places to go and see now prices start at just over 1500 quid for the three-day tours it's
from 2695 for the five dayer so not cheap but it could be a good way to go if you like
the idea of going touring but don't want to organize any of it or your own bike this one
though for our australian viewers you lucky so-and-so's with this new content creator challenge
from bmw with some ludicrous prizes they've partnered with insta360 and also quad lock
and basically you've got to follow a bunch of accounts all the details are on their instagram
post your best pictures with a bmw motorcycle use a few hashtags and then that means you'll be
entered into this prize draw which i think is drawn on may the 5th with the submissions ending
on may the 1st now quad lock have put in some vouchers insta360 have offered up some of their
awesome cameras for the various prize levels but the first prize the contribution from bmw is
actually a brand new f450gs so good luck to all the aussie bike photographers out there you better
get sending your pics in i certainly would be doing that anyway and i guess well hard luck for
the rest of us but as always i'd love to know what you make of this week's story so do let me know
down in the comments below and also i've got a playlist of this week's videos in case you missed
them including a bit of a debate between myself and tim on which the best looking motorcycles are

motorcycle news and reviews like this right here on moto bob a massive thanks for watching today
and we'll see you in the next video
