Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe pilot of an F-16 Viper conducts a solo strike mission against an enemy Forward Arming and Refueling Point (FARP). The operation involves engaging multiple enemy aircraft, neutralizing a layered surface-to-air missile (SAM) defense network, and destroying the target using heavy JDAM munitions before exiting the combat zone.
Welcome back to another video guys. We are here in the F-16 Viper. We're going to be hitting a little
FARP that's going to be resupplying some enemy forces. There's a lot of ammunition and fuel and
that kind of stuff so we want to hit that. We're carrying two massive 2,000 pound JDAMs for that
so we're going to be dropping 4,000 pounds of explosives on this FARP. There should be very
little of it left when we're done. Off the nose here we have three bandits approaching me so we're
going to sort these guys out. This will be a classic example of the F-16's ability to fight
its way in, you know, hit a target and fight its way out. There's also some SAM sites out there so
the F-16 is going to self-protect and hit the target all on its own here. It's a true example of
the capabilities of the F-16. I had a little false return on the radar there. It said
ANGELS 9000 there was something. ANGELS 9 but it faded. So we got three guys coming up on
datalink right now 7,000 feet and they are hot on me so we're going to just continue a little
closer. We're expecting many bandits in the area so once we got these guys we got to take out the
SAMs and then they might even send more guys out here so we're going to have to hit the target
quickly and then get out of here. I'm not going to be able to just fight an endless wave of enemy
bandits. We are getting a radar return on all three guys so we'll lock this guy up at 31 miles
and we will continue until we have a decent probability of kill and he's about 12,000 13,000
feet and climbing. The two other bandits are 11,000 and 19,000. 17,000 now it's updating for all three
of them. Okay so they're all climbing about the same altitude so we'll just give these guys a
bunch of AMRAAMs on the first volley. We have four AMRAAMs so we'll give these guys the first round
and then we'll clean up whoever's left. Here we go at 18 miles, 17 miles FOX3.
We'll hold that lock for just a second here. At 15 miles that missile should guide
and then we're so close that we don't even need to hold lock at this point. At 13 miles FOX3 on
this guy and the last guy they shot at me so we're going to defend FOX3 on that guy.
One AMRAAM left. Looks like there's also an SA-5 but that'll be pretty far back there.
I'll have to worry about that guy later. We can't do anything about him but I will have to defend
him. He's probably way too far back. SA-5 being a very long range SAM system. It keeps looking over
here. It keeps spiking me. All right I think we have sorted out at least some of those bandits.
I see one kill in the distance so let's turn around. Let's see who survived. Datalink says
one guy is still up. He's angels three so he had to get low to defend that AMRAAM. See if we can
find him. Got a missile launch from the SA-5 possibly. SA-5 spiking me. Okay got this guy
locked. Three miles FOX3. He's coming to the merge. There it is and impact. Chaffin and Flarin
in case he fired a FOX2. He was in the sun so I couldn't see him but there we go. Splash that
last mig right there. Okay we're all set up here so we'll climb. There's still possibly SA-2s.
I have search radars on the HAD pod down here. I have an SA-5 way further out. A tin shield as
well. That's the I believe the search radar for the SA-5. Again that SA-5 is no factor. We just
have to defend if he shoots at me but he's way too far for me to worry about and I don't carry
enough harms. We have an SA-2 and an SA-3 here we need to deal with. The SA-2 being the longer range
SAM system. The SA-3 shorter range but it's basically it's there to support the SA-2 if needed.
SA-3 is a very fast missile and also capable of some very high G's so it's very good at hitting
fighters. So really we want to deal with both of those. It's kind of like a layered air defense
right? You got the SA-2 then the SA-3 a little closer but we need to get a little bit higher and
let them spike me with their radars so that the HAD pod can triangulate them. That SA-5 keeps
looking over here. Let's see if we can zoom in here there's a search radar and I don't know if
it's a part of the SA-2. It could just be an early warning system so I don't want to hit it.
We got an SA-3 on the HAD pod so that's it we'll give this guy a
harm. We have a PGM-2 so we're in range. Magnum one away and let's see if we can detect that
SA-2. That's just a search radar again.
Nope I think we actually have the SA-2 right here. Yes we do SA-2. Okay Magnum again.
Okay and we'll defend here. Yep they shot at me. SA-2 launch. Start reducing altitude here.
We'll go a little cold. Those harms should be close maybe. Okay let's know that RWR.
It's quiet. We're going to switch over to our GBUs 31s but the RWR is quiet so I think those
harms might have hit their targets. Okay we will start climbing here to set up for our bomb run.
There's also some SA-13 short range systems down there so I don't want to get too close
and we're going to have to come in pretty high to overfly those systems.
That SA-5 constantly looking over here. Again it's part of a layer system right? SA-5 then SA-2
then SA-3 but we're just going to have to drop these bombs and defend against that SA-5 if it
shoots at me. Threat react as necessary. We also need to hurry this up a little bit because I think
once we shot down those three MiGs initially and then knocked out the SAM systems they're
going to scramble other MiGs up here so we don't have time to really dilly-dally. We got
SA-5 still looking over here. I got my target locked. We will pickle one away here. We are in
range. Pickle. Then we'll shift over to the other part of the base right here and pickle away.
All right excellent. We will start reducing altitude here slowly.
20,000 feet should be above the IR SAM engagement envelope. Oh look it's my bomb. That's cool I can
literally see the bomb. Okay we have missile launch SA-5. Chaff flare will defend reducing
altitude here. Those JDAMs we dropped they don't need a laser or anything they're using GPS.
Once they're away they're on their own. Kind of like the Fox 3 of bombs if you will. Look at that
good impact right there. Big explosion. That's just one impact though we're waiting for the
second one. There it is. Oh massive shock wave. Absolutely beautiful. All right I want to do a
quick gun run on the base there because I saw a little tank there and I don't want to just let
this tank live. Although it's not one of the targets but I just want to do a gun run on this
tank. I think it'll be fun. Everything out there is probably destroyed. Any short-range IR should
be knocked out. If not this is going to be really spicy. We're going to die here for sure but I think
we're good. It's just this tank on the entrance of the FARC right here. Come on. Oh he popped. Nice.
And we just cleared the trees there.
Oh yeah that was good. I enjoyed that. All right that's it for me guys. We're going to
get out of here before those MiGs get here. Thank you for watching. I'll see you in the next one.
Bye guys.
