This week I visited a prefab home at Crazy Creek that was finished 14 days ago! This is the Selkirk, a 14 x 48' prefab home with a 160 square foot covered porch and brand new floor plan. It has metal siding, large windows, a gas fireplace and a convertible bunk room. Watch to learn more about the Selkirk!

AI GeneratedThis video provides a detailed tour of the Selkirk prefab home located at the Crazy Creek resort in the Monashee Mountains. Built by Mint Tiny Home Company, the 512-square-foot residence features a blend of modern amenities and cottage aesthetics, designed to accommodate up to six guests in a scenic natural setting.
Today I'm at Crazy Creek and the reason that I'm here
is to check out their brand new prefab home
with a 160 square foot covered porch. This is the covered porch. What we're
looking at today is their Selkirk model. It's got 512
square feet of living space and a lot of cool features throughout.
If you're sitting there thinking to yourself, wait a minute what's a Crazy
Creek? That's a fair question. What it is is a resort located in the
Monashie Mountains between Revelstoke and Sycamuse and what I love about it
is it has numerous prefab homes that I can come tour and people can
stay in on a nightly basis. On top of that they've got hot pools, there's a
literal Crazy Creek over there, there's a river
running that way, there's a ski hill, there's a lake. So
for most people there's a lot of other stuff to do but for me
this is what it's all about. What we're looking at today
again is the Selkirk with dimensions of 14 feet wide.
It's 48 feet long. Lots to talk about inside but let's have a look at the
outside. To start this off I'm taking it back to
the covered porch because it is a skookum feature. I already know I
didn't do it justice the first go around and I think it needs a little bit more
air time. So they've got the built-in propane fire pit right there.
All the hookups are over here so I'm not exactly sure how
to turn it on but I'm guessing if you're staying here
you get the instructions. So they've got that wall
blocked off from the neighbors behind and they've got four built-in pot lights
easily, easily, easily enough room for four Adirondack chairs. They've got
two sides open right here. There's the view out the front
and it does have access right there into the kitchen. We're not going in there
yet. We must continue with the exterior but we will get there eventually. So
out front four more Adirondack chairs and a picnic
table over there. So lots of options for outdoor seating
at this specific home. Now you'll notice we have got metal siding
right here. I don't think I even mentioned it yet but
this model was built by the Mint Tiny Home Company. They're out of the
lower mainland here in British Columbia and they build both tiny homes and
modulars. If you didn't know that now you do.
All right again we're 48 feet long on this
by 14 feet wide and as with another home that I toured here they've got this
covered section over the door with the copper
roof and I just think it looks incredible. Let me know what you think.
Coming around this side we've got one exterior light.
This one over here that's the nest. It's going to be on the channel at some point
if it isn't already and coming down this side we'll take a
quick look but there is just the one window right there. You can kind
of get a sneak peek at what's going on and if you can't,
spoiler alert, it's a bunk room. All right so we've got a propane tank
down there as well as a mini split so let's
wrap around this side. If you want to stay in this one number 163 there it is
so make sure to reserve 163 if you want to
stay in this specific home. It's a nice location.
Check it out. So we've got the metal siding, black trim,
wood colored door and the copper roof. I like it. Let's have a look. Welcome,
welcome, welcome. It is officially official we are in
the Selkirk model at Crazy Creek and would you look at that
there's a bench right at the entrance for taking off
or putting on your shoes. See how easy that was?
Simple. Lots to talk about in here but first and foremost I want to talk about
this space because it is kind of nice having a
designated entrance. You're not marching straight into the middle of the living
room. You've got this place where you can
come in, transition into the home, take off your shoes, sit down, hang up
your jacket and stow any things away that you want
out of the way. Maybe it's your backpack or a frisbee. I don't know. Whatever your
thing is you can put it right in here. Lots to talk about. I'm
looking behind the camera and I think some people will be surprised at what
we're about to see so let's continue. Directly off the
entryway that I just spent a surprising amount of time talking about
is the bunk room that I hinted at from the outside. So we've got bottom bunk,
boom, top bunk, boom. However this isn't any old
bunk set. These actually fold up. They're Murphy bunks
and the reason for it is if you don't need anyone to sleep in them
you can put a bar across here and this room becomes a place where you can hang
wet gear because this area is notorious for
snowmobiling, skiing and snowboarding which typically results in a lot of wet
gear. All right here we go. Check this out.
This mall is open from the front to the back.
It's designed to sleep six people and the way they've got it set up out
here is with two queen beds both with built-in
side tables and built-in reading lights and if I get a little bit closer you'll
notice that they've got two switches by the bed. One is for the
reading light and the other is for the lights in this
room so you roll into bed, you hit that light and you close your
eyes. Off to dreamland we go. One of my
favorite features in this space is this dramatic fireplace
right in the middle of the home. I've got it on for effect.
Everyone please notice they've got the tv
up above and a window on either side looking out to what is on
the front of the home which is trees, nature,
things of that nature. I kind of backed myself into a corner there.
Here's something that I also like. So number one,
have a look at this back wall. It has a wood
accent that carries up onto the ceiling. They've got the
beams there giving that cottage vibe that people
enjoy in a setting like this. They're coming out into nature they want that
cottage vibe so check they got it. But on top of that
they've also got this wardrobe right in the middle of the room
and it's serving two purposes in my opinion. Number one,
it is a place where you can store your things.
All right you can hang up your clothes you can put your stuff up there
they've got drawers down below that's one purpose.
Second purpose is if you're asleep here someone else is
asleep there you're not looking directly at the
other person you're looking at the side of the wardrobe
which for me would be good. I think I would like that now
quick look at the bathroom we'll get in there in a second.
Here's the eating peninsula we'll call it it's not attached it's attached so
we're not going to call it an island but basically the purpose of this is
you eat your dinner here and you get to look out the window at the trees
and the bushes if anyone's out there at the fire you can see them.
It's just the perfect spot to have a meal. Let's check out this kitchen.
So they've got a couple open shelves right here I didn't open this one yet.
Three shelves in there dishwasher they got the prep space here beside the sink
more prep space on this side two more open shelves
right here and down below we've got a drawer
and a cabinet below that with two shelves. On the end of the home this
is the door out to the patio and it has
a window that has a built-in blind between
the pieces of glass which is kind of cool. Fridge is at the end
top freezer oops bottom refrigerator got the storage up above
complete with a toaster and on this side they've got the coffee
maker two burner cooktop quartz counter quartz
backsplash microwave down below and that is flanked
by two banks of pots and pans drawers.
I didn't mention it but this home is less than two months old so this is
about as new as you get. Up top we've got place for glasses on
this side I'm guessing vent in the middle yep and another
cabinet with four shelves on this side. All right one more space to look at
that's the bathroom I haven't actually been in here yet so let's have a look.
All right so we've got the vanity here with the
open towel section below sink on top black hardware
and they've got the banjo countertop going over top of the toilet
which kind of just gives you a little bit more storage
and an extra place to put your things. Toilet
in the middle and the tub shower over here. All right towel rack there
let's head back out endless possibilities in a floor plan like this
obviously they've got it set up for max capacity sleeping for six but you can
take out a bed put a couch there you could put a murphy bed
out here a murphy bed there you'd be murphying all over this floor plan
if you wanted to so definitely a cool plan with a lot of different
possibilities. There you have it folks the Selkirk model at Crazy Creek
now available to rent on a nightly basis stay as long as you want
again it's 14 feet wide by 48 feet long it's got the 160 square foot covered
porch with the built-in gas fireplace
built by mint tiny homes am i missing anything

i hope you enjoyed the tour thanks for watching we'll see in the next
