Your voice is insane the passion behind it is tangible and irresistible My name is Amy Lou, I'm 34. I'm from a little place called tipton in the West Midlands. You might tell by my accent And you have a day job Amy I do I work part-time in a sunbed shop hence hence the little Toasty Have you performed in front of big audiences like this before? No, this is my first ever at weekends I sing in the local pubs then duck and goose whoever will have me really Have you brought anyone with you today I have I've got my mom dad and my partner I have a four-year-old son and a little girl on the way. Oh cuz you won't You don't know what I'm feeling I'll follow the voice you gave to me That works in the sunbed shop That was by far my favorite audition The minute you started singing I was just covered in goosebumps and I was thinking your baby's probably like really having a lovely little sleep in there and then She's gone. Oh, there we go Stop I cannot wait to see what happens Really the measure of a true artist is to take a song for Beyonce I mean until it takes balls to take that off, but you made it completely your own Interpretation was at another level. It was like a ray of sunshine the power of your voice You really are a revelation Birmingham by the way, so I am a Brummie. Yes, but no, I'm sorry. This doesn't happen. You come out How many weeks pregnant are you 30? I mean, I literally thought that baby might have dropped out. I Was thinking yeah, we could actually have our first birth On the stage and I watch you watch the audience reaction I don't think I've ever seen anyone so connected in all my years of doing this. I Mean that was actually quite incredible and Amy. Look, this is your stage This is your moment and whatever happens next is just gonna be amazing. I've seen you so amazing Really you deserve this Well, Amy, it's a no-brainer. It's a yes for me. Thank you. Yes for me. Yes for me. Yeah You bring her on yeah, you'll have to bring it you've got to bring it down. Yeah, make sure you do Yes There's no way You see there's Yeah I'm not gonna leave There's no way This where do we start with you I feel like with you It's just written in the stars the fact that you absolutely smash it on national television What a fairy tale that is and congratulations on another incredible performance Absolutely amazing and I know that you did that for your children and your husband I loved it when he went it's for you Now there's been some iconic people standing on that stage we're at the Hammersmith Apollo, but no one knows Unbelievable a star is born. Thank you. I Mean genuinely, I mean I could feel the energy behind me from the minute you started singing which is Okay, you've taken on that song and now you're nailing that song There wasn't a single person in the room Amazing Understruck. I feel like I've been hit by a truck of pleasure We're all shivering here. The power of your voice is insane But you bring life to everything You say the passion behind it is tangible and irresistible You may think you see But you never know me every day It's as if I play Now I see If I wear I can fool the world But I cannot fool my In Let's start with you Oh my god Seriously now, there's a lot of people that can scream a song the richness the depth of your tone It is like Smoky velvet is unique To hear such a voice That's it next Being on this journey with you and I think we should put some perspective to this you only gave birth to your daughter a few weeks ago And I'm just so proud of you and I know that your family are proud of you and I hope this is the beginning Agree more you are a shining example to your family like your husband said and to all the women and we haven't had a female winner for a long time and it would make Favorite thing about all of this is how at the end of every performance I've seen you do you always give a little glance to that Means so much to you. You honestly you did another great job. I literally can't put it into words Excuse me, I'm sorry Because I'm having trouble speaking Tell me us after that how you feel right now I've never felt anything like this in my life. It's this is the most So this is This is just unbelievable First time Looking at you where I really thought actually you really really want to win this don't you? I really do. Yeah, I really really do for my children If you imagine this naked and then and then you stick wings on it, it's a cherub Textbook hot for now, but 17th century. This milkshake was bringing all the boys to the art At least there's been a test. I've stolen the hearts of the nation and I'm here to finish the job. Oh I've never stood on a shiny floor in a skirt before See that some of you are trying to figure out where you know me from Maybe it would help if I started saying phrases such as the next train to arrive Your shop, but you're wasting your time. I'm not a shoplifter. Okay shoplifting is a crime that generally requires lots of running But Still on probation to be honest, but that's kind of cool when I live so that's alright Sometimes I take me watch off put it on me ankle cover it with me sock just to get in character
