Video Summary
AI GeneratedThis tutorial demonstrates how to merge two different brushes in a digital art application to create a custom effect, specifically combining a monoline brush with a grunge texture to produce a grunge monoline brush.
So I had a request on how to merge two different brushes, so I'm going to go into my brush head
I'm going to show you guys
How you combine two different brushes to get a different result and I'm just going to do a simple
Monoline brush, and I'm going to do it on grunge texture
So what I'm going to do is the one that you want on top you actually want to drag above
Like this and what you're going to do is you're going to select it, and you see how it is really bright bright blue
So we're actually going to swipe to the right on the monoline and you see how it is a darker blue
So the bright blue means it's on the top the darker blue means it's going to be under so this is going to be our overlay
This is our base brush
then we're going to click combine and
Then we're going to go ahead and click in and it's going to show up like this
So this is our grunge brush. This is our secondary and right now. It's set to normal
So what I'm actually going to do is probably just click overlay here
And that will do an overlay for this brush
So it's just overlaying the grunge over the the monoline
Which is just the plain brush and then depending on what brushes you're doing is going to depend on what you're doing here
so there's different things that you're going to use the different colors and things for for hard mix and
Multiply things like that. I'm just going to do overlay like I said, and then I'm going to leave all of the other settings alone
I don't want to confuse you guys with a whole bunch of settings right now
but I'm gonna go ahead and click the
Little check right there. And now I have a grunge brush
So I'm gonna make sure that the opacity is at a hundred and then I've got I'm gonna do my bright blue first
And then a darker blue second
I don't think that's gonna matter for this one because I did not have a secondary color selected
And that can be in a different tutorial
But I just want to make sure that they're both the same
Somewhat of the same color that I want to do and then I'm gonna go to my saved size setting
and
Add a new layer and now I have a grunge monoline brush. So I hope that that helps
Um, so that is how you're gonna go in and combine different brushes and then if you need to uncombine them
So let's say I'm gonna duplicate this and then I'm going to uncombine to get my original brushes back
It's always a good idea to duplicate before you do it
But you just click under secondary here and click uncombine and then confirm and then you now have it as two different brushes
So my original grunge brush looks like this and it has like a different
Stamp to it. That's the stamp that it looks like and then the new brush that I made is
This one and it looks like that and then I'm actually gonna go in here and go to
Multiply so that it shows as my circle and
Now it shows as my circle
so I hope that this helps you guys drop any comments requests or questions that you have in the group and
Thank you so much for watching
