Before we continue coloring the sketch, let's take a look at this product I
recently received from Divoom. It's a pixel art LED display. I've been seeing
this product around for quite a while now so when I finally got one, I was
really excited to try it out. It comes with an app that you can download on
your phone and that's where you control pretty much everything. One thing I
thought was really cool is the community section. There are so many
pixel artworks, animations, and designs uploaded by other users that you can
browse through and use on your own display. There's also an option to
create your own pixel art or animated GIFs and upload them to the community. I
have this drawing I made last week and I thought it would be fun to recreate it
in pixel art. I'll try to make it as close to the original as possible but I
already know some of the smaller details will be difficult to fit so I'll
probably simplify a few parts. I was really locked in during this part and
honestly having so much fun, it almost feels like playing a game because it's
weirdly satisfying filling in all those tiny squares one by one. After exploring
the app a bit more, I found even more interesting features. You can display
things like weather updates, world clocks, festival reminders, theme designs for
gaming setups, and even different displays depending on your mood. Since
it's designed for a continuous display, it's really easy to refresh the screen
whenever you want a different look. It also has a built-in microphone mode so
the animations can react to music playing around it. There are a bunch of
other features too like countdown timers, pixel gallery, scoreboards. I think it
would make a great gift especially for someone who enjoys gaming, art, desk setups,
or decorating their creative space. It's one of those things that's both
functional and fun to interact with at the same time.
