VAN LIFE / Shower, toilet, laundry

Good morning everyone. I hope you have a good day so far. Today I'm going to answer three questions that I really get in the comment section below. So the three questions are where did I shower, where did I go in the bathroom for number one, number two and where did I do my laundry. So pretty much today I have to do all of this. I'm not going to do laundry but I'm going to show you where I will do it and but first of all we need to go have a shower guys. So I do have a gym membership to Anytime Fitness so this is where I usually go to have my shower. So my Anytime Fitness I do have a FOB which allows me to go everywhere Anytime Fitness. They are pretty much everywhere in Canada. They don't have like that many but so far I've been all right and what I did I just went on the website to find out which location they were on Vancouver Island where I'm traveling right now and just write down on a piece of paper so I know which location they are and I can kind of plan my trip based on the shower and based on how long I'm going to have like the gap if you want between my shower sorry my gap between the showers so yeah so they are pretty clean pretty nice so this is where I usually go but you can go in so many other places as well. I use a like pool center like recreation center which is often have like a just one-time fee that you can go at the pool and you can have a shower as well. So some people think that a gym membership is a little bit expensive for me it's not a big deal because I love to go at the gym once in a while so I do enjoy having kind of boat if you want having to go at the gym and exercise and having a shower as well but what you can do as well is to have an outdoor shower which I have I'm going to show you hello kid don't escape so this is my outdoor shower to be quite honest I use it twice don't try to escape I use it twice let me shut down that door before she try to escape too much oh and by the way I have a subscriber who gave me this last night I went back to the van and someone stick this look it looks like you it's a cat out of space I'm gonna have to move it I'm gonna put in the back door of my back windows but thank you anyway let me in so I use this outdoor shower I think twice so far it was I purchased this during the pandemic just before everything hello everything started because my gym was closing and I was like oh I'm gonna have a shower I need to have a shower so I purchased this it's quite bad I don't recommend okay the pressure is really bad so I'm gonna donate or something like this and purchase something a little bit better I'm gonna look at this I'm not quite sure right now what I'm gonna buy but yeah I want to have like an option when I'm in the backcountry especially um so yeah that was just for the pandemic and I end up in Squamish where I was living they end up opening the shower um like the public shower so um that was perfect so I didn't have to use that especially that was like February March when everything closed so it was still really cold outside so um yeah I didn't use that much uh but yeah it's great to have some kind of outdoor shower if you do some backcountry road and things like this all right now talking about the oh and one more thing I wanted to say uh if you are in a state especially um Planet Fitness I think it's the one that a lot of people use they are a little bit cheaper and um for what I understood they are pretty much everywhere so um look at this here in Canada we they are not really uh spread all over like everywhere so Anytime Fitness is the one that it kind of spread a little bit more so now talking about all this let's talk about where did I go to the bathroom um this one is quite easy to be honest so one place to go to the bathroom um and that was open during the pandemic was the grocery store so the grocery store are a great place to you know do number one and number two so another place that was open was Canadian Tire too uh they have a bathroom and was open during the pandemic so Walmart is another place that you can use the bathroom and and I guess you see the point like you can go in so many like place fast food restaurant um Home Depot as well here in Canada and all those places were all open during the pandemic here uh and they are still open so they're all the places that you can go to use the bathroom so of course you may want to use the bathroom inside your van and um so for number one I had to go in Cabela's Cabela's I'm gonna show you I don't even know how to pronounce it this store right here and any sorry any outdoor like store would have that it is a woman portable little um device um I had to purchase a new one because the one that I had before was just not good enough anymore so yeah you get the point it's just you know a little thing that you can pee in any bottle any um anywhere pretty much and let's see this one so this cost me uh 20 dollars I'm sure the one the previous one that I purchased was on Amazon and it was way cheap well way cheaper yeah it was cheaper so yeah there you go so uh yeah you can pee any bottle anywhere you want um so super convenient and also for the number two and before I go to the number two I want to say that the van life it can be as glamorous and not so glamorous as you want um there's no right or wrong way to do it just do it what you feel good about it I know I have a lot of solo females that think about doing van life on my channel that reach out to me so that's why I wanted to share that video but it can be as yeah as glamorous as you want you can have like a real bathroom um that you're gonna have to take care like um those uh those compost toilets that you can uh just take care and have in your van I decide to go very simple so I do have in case of emergency which I don't use that often but I do have a bucket and you know with a plastic bag and you go do your number two um not so glamorous I know but it work and when I was leaving in my car I didn't even have like any type of bathroom like inside my car because it was so small there was a small SUV so I was just going in public places um because of COVID and because someplace closed the bathroom it was nice to have like option inside the van and of course now I do have a bigger van so I do have a bigger option in for bathroom but yeah I could have a regular bathroom here or if you want a compost bathroom but I just yeah it's doesn't bothering me so I do it that way but like I want to say it can be like as glamorous as as convenient or whatever you want to call it as you want and can be as simple as you want um no right or wrong way to do it and just feel go with what you feel good about it um so yeah I think that cover every bathroom option all right now the laundry so for the laundry is super simple I just go on google I'm gonna google right here laundromat Vancouver Island and because I'm on Vancouver Island right now and you get so many laundromat it's crazy it's everywhere and you can just click on where you are and you're gonna have so many option and so this is how I found out which place I go do the laundromat and I sorry I do the laundry um maybe every two weeks something around that and all my laundry just stay right here um you're not gonna be able to see right now but it is just a cover behind here um I just throw all my dirty laundry here and yeah so super simple uh it costs I don't know maybe between five dollars to ten dollars depending on where you are um smaller towns usually are cheaper but yeah this is where I do laundry uh so again like it can be super simple and I get why I do receive those questions quite often in the comment section or sometimes uh emails uh woman one especially woman want to know you know on my setup and yeah my setup was very very very simple but it can be like I said um nicer and better if you want it so um that should not be something that's stop you from doing van life it should be something um like when I started van life was in my car so was you know you start very very simple when you start living in the car so uh that's probably why I kept very simple lifestyle um in my van but I get it that some people want like a real um bathroom um for me having a shower inside the van I don't want it I don't think I will ever want it uh but that's up to you you know to decide if you really want that in
