United States vs Paraguay Highlights ｜ 2026 FIFA World Cup™

The United States in their new shirts of red and white stripes. The ball they take care of in the transition moments, but they will have chances. McKinney can be the joker tonight. Finding space. He can drift in that number 10 position. That time he finds space. Nice little cut inside. Here's Christian Pulisic on the ball now. Draws the double-team. Splits the double-team. Pulisic in the box. Weston McKinney into the middle. It's an out goal. It's Bobadilla who ends up putting it into his own net. But that is Weston McKinney and that is Christian Pulisic. We talk about stars making the game for their team. There's your two stars, America. I don't know what he had to say, but Mauricio Pochettino, hands on his shoulders. It's going to fall for Balogun. Here's Sergino. Does! Cuts it back in the middle. It'll end up out for a point. Paraguay causing problems. They don't know who to pick up. You've got McKinney there and Balogun and he was onside. The touch from McKinney leads to Balogun. And just a heavy first touch from Sergino. Tess gets away from him and takes the angle. Rebound by Robinson for Pulisic. On the run. Pulisic trying to cut it back. And Balogun! That time it's in. That time it's 2-0 the United States. He sees that his defender is tucked in tight in Caceres. So he runs in behind. Green finds the space but gets his head up. And just lays a beauty of a ball. Fans right below us, Mauricio Pochettino. Balogun, can he get inside? Still Balogun. Throw, Balogun! Composure in this moment now and he cuts onto the left foot. Comfortable with both right and left. Settles himself. Not only picks out the corner, he picks out the top corner. Just a beauty for his second of the game. On their own. Working on Tim Rehm. Rehm couldn't get anything on that one. Decision on the field is going to be a free kick for Paraguay. Rehm is going to pick up a yellow card here. In the end line. A little bit of a pull there. And then does Rehm get his leg? This is one of the new things that FIFA were looking at. Before this tournament. So look, that's what he's doing right now. Cancels the yellow card. Rehm gives it down the line. This is what we're trying to get out of this game. You don't want to see people trying to simulate like that. To draw fouls and win fouls. Here come the changes. It's going to be Sergino Dest. Withdrawn. And that's the surprise. Tim Rehm was a lockdown starter for years for this U.S. team. Scored the opening goal of the last World Cup. And it's Rehm replacing Dest. The guys that went off. Will lift it forward off of the free kick. Comes backwards off of Adams. Head on their own. Trying to get there. And sees it on the far side. Mauricio scores! And Peregrine are able to chip away. They are able to create some doubt. Trying to win that second ball. Rehm comes over to help. So does Freeman. So that leaves the space. What Santino talks about so much is that this sport is so much about the mentality. It's so much about emotions. Give it away! Tillman! Ricardo Pepe! Malik Tillman! Saved! Put a run at Orlando Hill. That might have slammed the door shut. Tillman. Tim Rehm. Alonso defending. Just a touch there from Hill. The goalkeeper. You can see his hand flopping. But Hill has been cheating quite a bit. Trying to stop some of these crosses. And hook that ball away. McKinney. Great ball from Tim Rehm. Weston McKinney. Into the middle. Pepe! Couldn't get it on target. Lovely. Little ball over the top from Tim Rehm. Finding Weston McKinney. We haven't seen as much of him running. Girardo! This country and this team has ever put together. This was a 20 plus pass sequence. From back to front. Side to side. And you think are they just going to see the game?
