CUTEST EQUINE AUCTION EVER! - Exotic Animal Sale Day!

Everybody we are at the Lolli Brothers exotic animal sale so they have a horse sale today as well as some exotics and today is a special pony and miniature donkey sale on top of all of that we have our miniature donkey expert with us Isaac and we're going to go look and see if there happens to be the perfect match pair for Thomas so that when we train them to pull we can have a team because I think Thomas might be too small to pull the family by itself but a team of them for sure could. We've never been up here this is our first time up here so we're gonna go see what it's like oh my goodness look at that pretty one back there in the corner. I like the black one. that's the color Thomas I didn't know that was, like that dark one. look at the little baby over there. most of you already know Thomas but just in case you don't this is Thomas we call him our yard donkey because he's out in the yard with the dogs more than he is up at his little barn and pasture. Thomas is our son Isaac's donkey he's our first donkey we have ever had we didn't know we loved donkeys until we had Thomas and he is just awesome we absolutely adore him he's very special he was actually born here on our homestead last year so his birthday is coming up pretty quick Thomas does have our mini horses that he hangs out with I think his favorite is Daisy we hang out with him all the time he's always with us following us around but donkeys do like to be in pairs so I was wanting to train Thomas and another one to pull plus we don't want Thomas to think he's the only donkey in the world so we have started the search for a new friend for look at this baldy face son. Hello, is anybody nice? Oh, you're nice? Oh, very sweet. That's amazing. I bet. Whoa. Oh my gosh. So we're mostly going to be showing you the donkeys because that's what we were looking at but this is an exotic animal sale so we'll show a bit of the other animals as we go through the barns. Wow, that's interesting. Are you a little scared but you're curious? Look at that one back there. Yeah, it's cute. Do you see that? Hey buddy. Oh yeah, I see her. Aww. Oh, this one's sweet. Yeah, he looks like he's Thomas' age. Younger. Younger? About when we went to Colorado. Aww, he's sweet. Yeah, I bet this one was only born in April or May. Yeah, he does look younger in the face. Aww. Or was that he? We don't know. I like this one the best so far. Are you a boy or a girl? I can't see. Yeah. What number is he? Oh yeah, what number is he, Jared? Hi. You're cutie. Three, three, five, four. We are all absolutely loving this little guy and we found out the Ginny with the pink halter on is his mama and then the one back behind him, the shorter one, is the Sire. So both his parents are nicely built and on the smaller side, like Thomas, so he's not going to get too big. I don't know, he's pretty cute. He's cute though, isn't he? Okay, next aisle. Oh, you got a pretty face. Yeah, I like that one. Are you a girl? I think this is your baby, isn't it? Is that your baby? Yeah, she does. She's full grown. Are you a girl or a boy? Are you pregnant? That would be nice. I like you. So the boys and I are having a bit of an argument. They only like the boy donkeys but I would like a girl donkey. They insist that the girl donkeys are not as sweet as the boys but I have to disagree. I think you just have to find the right one and it would be fun to have a little foal someday if we got a Ginny. You got a little baby though. Aww. Is it a little girl or a little boy? Don't you guys think the baby's cute? But in the end, Isaac will get to decide. He's the donkey whisperer around here. He found this donkey off all by itself and he and this donkey really started to bond. Putting all her weight in my hands. You think it's a girl? I kind of think it's a girl too. This one and the boy are the favorites. She's sweet. He's one really cute. Too much trouble. That's a mule you think? You look like a troublemaker. Mommy won't let us get a mule. It's cute. I have to agree. And friendly. Oh you are cute. Cute one. It's sweet, but it's cute. Look at that fuzzy baby over there. Is it rolling? I don't either. I feel like it doesn't feel good though. You're friendly? You're pretty. You got some weird thing on your mouth. Is this a girl or a boy? Oh my gosh. Look at the baby. Let me get my phone out. So the one on the ground is the zebra donkey mix? I don't know what personality on one of them. Oh my gosh, what is that over there? This guy is very friendly. What's in your purse? He's got a good personality. We actually had gotten to the auction late. So once we were done looking at all the donkeys, we headed to the sale barn. And they were actually already going for the reindeer. This was a really cute little tiny Jenny. Three years old. Exposed to a jack, but I gotta figure out how to get Isaac talked into getting a girl. But he's super gentle. And we started him on the cart there. A good little outstanding jack. Small, small, small. Eight years old. 300 400 600 700 500 1500 1400 1500 1800 Five months old. Yep. Male. Zedon. Gravy stud. Ultra big, gentle. Ween. Ready to roll. Prominent stripes on his legs. Legs down to the end. guys right here look at it 2500, double here to y'all come 2500, double here to the outside 2000, man down 2200, 255 92500, 92500, 92500, 92500 92500, 92500, 92500 After a bit we headed back into the barns we hadn't completely walked around we wanted to see what else was out there Okay we came back over here Isaac wants to check this donkey out Awww So out of all the donkeys this is Isaac's favorite the little donkey with the blue halter on, we'll see in a second and then this little mule I didn't even see this guy Oh he just looks so ornery to me Ornery, ornery, him and Thomas Yeah Let's go see the baby donkey over here that Isaac liked cause he's cute I bet it's a lot I think he's friendlier than all of them What was it's number again? Do you like this one? I like this one This little guy was for sure my favorite and his mama was super sweet too Isaac seemed a bit more drawn to the other donkey, the darker one we just showed and I think J.R. liked this one a bit more and then he also seemed pretty drawn to the mule like Isaac After that we walked around and just saw all the other animals that were there We could take Thomas a bite Whoa Should we get a camel? This is Ebola You're okay He's okay Look at the yak Maybe it's just a really big yak That's a weird head Wow If the farm was bigger I definitely would be bringing these little fluffy cows home and probably the baby doll sheep Hi Once we were done visiting the fluffy little calves we headed back in to the auction She was very tempting, she was adorable and it's always fun, you know having a bottle baby but it also leads to problems sometimes later in life So as tempting as it was we didn't end up getting on her The donkey family that's going to come out here in a second is absolutely adorable but I wanted to show you this clip Watch the ring guy He was having way too much fun It's the family outfit guys The darker one is the jack, the daddy The light one close to the rail there that's the mama and then it's a little he says, is it a jenny mitt or a jack mitt It's a jenny jack mitt Get her Oh Step That smile means a bit right Here we go These guys were definitely getting the crowd going, the jack went for $4,400, the mama the jenny and she was also bred back went for $3,355 I believe and then the little filly or the jenny full brought $2,300 Three year old jenny and a three month old baby The jack is proven guys That jack is proven So the little full is out of the jack that just went through and then the mama is supposed to be bred back These were two really nice jennys that were also supposed to be bred to that jack and they both went for $2,200 The 14 and a half So this is the mama and full that we liked but we had a little bit of a hiccup and J.R. and Isaac had just left and gotten something to eat so I was in there all alone and I just couldn't decide if I should be without Isaac and J.R. there I mean I pretty much knew I wasn't going to especially when I knew Isaac kind of liked the other donkey better but I liked these two and looking back now I wish I had just bid anyways but probably just meant to be as sweet as they were maybe there's something in the future that we are not seeing yet that's going to be coming our way and the little donkey that Isaac liked the darker brown one he actually we never saw him go through the ring so we're not sure what was up with that and once these ones went through it was time for us to leave So we just left the auction we didn't get a donkey the jennys especially if they have color they go from yeah there was one that went from 40 they're pretty high 48 50 yeah there was a little the little mule that you saw we didn't see it go through either I think that was Isaac's actual favorite overall though anyways we had fun lots of cute donkeys for sure and now we're up here where our friend that we got beauty from lives and who also bought if you remember that horse we got junior we got him and Bernadette together this winter well he is right up here and we're going to go see him probably take him for a drive see how he's doing so that's good there and he said he's got a new surprise he wants to show so we got to see what he got hi buddy so here is junior he's looking absolutely amazing we're going to visit with him here in a little bit but first we're going to go see that surprise that they have oh they're pretty they're gentle yeah they are they're really gentle so Brandon had his two new mules what are their names Kate and Sally okay so Kate's over on the far side Sally's next to me and he hasn't had them very long just a month now about and we're going to go take them out on a ride and then when we get back we'll go see junior Jared have you ever drove a team of mules you'll need to fix them too yeah if he has it he will have before long so Brandon isn't exactly sure of the cross of these mules but he was kind of thinking they'd be perch on they're pretty big and powerful J.R. and Brandon had been talking over the phone about these mules so J.R. was pretty excited to see them and he definitely was not going to ride on that wagon without driving them they were both really good well behaved girls and I think J.R. really liked it when they were trotting down the road they could on the way home Isaac took over and got a little practice in for when Thomas is old enough to be drove and pulled he says yeah you've been over messing with them mules can you remember me has he changed much to you I think he's gotten bigger and filled out he's thicker now huh he's still not really big in the front end yet hi buddy pretty good boy yep he's a pretty good boy we actually have quite a few videos of J.R. on our channel when we first got him we got him with a mare we call Bernadette J.R. had gotten J.R. with Brandon in mind Brandon had asked J.R. to look for a good horse for him in Missouri Foxtrotter and when J.R. saw J.R. he thought he would be a perfect fit for him yeah he's thickened up a lot that's good he's got a whole pasture J.R. had put a couple months training on Junior before he came to his new home and my goodness his new home is absolutely beautiful lush green pastures and a brand new barn all to himself this is nice that was a brand new doorknob I gotta keep him locked I gotta hang the key on the outside circle doorknob I'm afraid for him to see me hang it up we missed the story but J.R. can unlock the doors he can open them and he can shut them he's gonna go in he says I'm going to the back door I don't have anything buddy we are super happy for J.R. at his new home he seems to really love it he loves Brandon and he will be being introduced to the mules his new friends here pretty soon so he will have some buddies over here with him so we didn't bring a friend home for Thomas yet but we do want to find another donkey eventually Thomas is buddied up with the other mini horses but it's just not the same as a donkey friend so we definitely plan to continue the search and it's gonna be a lot of fun seeing who ends up with Thomas here at Homestead Horsemanship if you can give Thomas a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel and ask him any questions in the comments and we'll see you in the next video upload poor sneaker nobody can see you over there right here say hello YouTube hello YouTube I'm a yard donkey
