Some of the full flights from the Prowing 2024 with the massive OneThirdRCKits Pitts Arrow, 50% scale and roughly 28kg with a 195cc engine. Flown in what felt like a scale manner, gentle aerobatics
This is the Pits Arrow that we're flying here at ProWing.
It's by 1 3rd RC Kits. It's at half scale, so it's obviously massive as you can see.
The funny story about this is that just over a month ago, this was nothing but plain wood.
I spoke with Vicente, the guy behind 1 3rd RC Kits.
I knew he was coming. I've flown a few of his planes before at shows in Spain.
And I asked, as we're both going, do you have your usual pits that I can fly?
The answer was, unfortunately, that one sold, but he wanted to fly one here anyway.
So he was willing to actually try and, in this case, manage to build from scratch this half scale pit in a month.
It went from being not even a cut kit to this two days before they had to drive up here to set up the stand.
So it literally had three flights, two days before driving up here.
Fortunately, everything went well. It flies great.
We've done a couple of demos here.
It's been a bit windy, but even though it's massive and with all that wind, it's performed really, really well.
So, here's how that looked.
