In this lesson, we'll look at the Future Continuous tense. The Future Continuous tense is used for actions that will be done progressively in the specific future. It is used with the auxiliary verb "will" plus "be" and then a present participle. The lesson is mainly designated for elementary students who wish to study or review English grammar and vocabulary. However, it would also help students who are at an advanced level and wish to brush up on English grammar.

Hello everyone, how are you today?
Again, this is Marc.
This time next year, I'll be teaching English to students at university.
In this lesson, I'll talk about the future continuous tense.
Use the future continuous tense for actions that will be in progress at a specific time or around a specific time in the future.
Let's look at my introductory example.
This time next year, I'll be teaching English to students at university.
Or, in a dialogue, we could say...
What will John be doing tomorrow evening?
He will be watching TV at 9pm tomorrow evening.
As you saw from our examples, the time expressions used with this tense are very important.
And so, we used this time, by this time, tomorrow, tonight, this week, etc.
Now, let's look at the different types of formulas that we use with different types of sentences.
So, for a positive sentence, we use the subject, plus will, plus the verb to be, so be, plus the verb, plus ing, and then the object.
So, let's look at the example.
Now, for a negative sentence, we use the subject, plus will, plus not, so won't, plus be, plus the verb with ing form, plus the object.
With a question, if there is, plus will, plus subject, plus be, plus the verb with ing, plus the object or time expression, if any.
So, what will you be doing this time tomorrow?
So, now, let's recap.
I said that the future continuous tense is used for actions that will be in progress at or around the time of speaking in the future.
Remember to use the auxiliary will, plus be, plus the verb with an ing form.
So, don't forget that.
Then, don't forget to use the time expressions, such as by this time, this time, tomorrow, tonight.
Now, I have a question for you.
What will you be doing this time tomorrow?
You can leave your answer under this video.
If you have any suggestions or comments, please write them under this video.
