Good evening, crew.
What better car to be out on the highway late at night
than a Rolls-Royce?
And let me tell you,
electric fits the Rolls-Royce persona so, so well.
This car feels proper with the smoothness
and the torque and the power
of an electric powertrain like this.
If you think about it,
that's what Rolls-Royce has been trying to achieve
with their motors for decades now
is the smoothness and the silence.
And now they have that given to them here
with this electric motor setup.
Outside of the actual powertrain and driving experience,
this feels very classic Rolls-Royce.
It feels more ghost than Phantom.
I will tell you that the Phantom
still has a little bit more isolation,
a little bit more presence if you can imagine that.
But this thing at just over 17 feet long
still feels immense.
It still feels like you're driving a big smooth boat
out here on the highway.
It floats well.
But remember, we are riding on 23 inch wheels on here.
And while they do look stellar,
I am feeling a little bit of that road imperfection
coming through those thin sidewall tires.
But everything in here is classic Rolls-Royce.
And I appreciate that Rolls-Royce
hasn't jumped two feet first
into filling their cars up with technology
just for technology's sake,
the way we see in something like a Mercedes EQ product.
Those feel overwhelming with the technology
and not always in a good way.
This generation of Rolls-Royce
sees more advanced infotainment, more advanced technologies,
but still keeps an air of simplicity and classicness to it.
One other thing I wanted to point out,
check out this voice command menu
and how interesting it sounds.
What's the weather like tomorrow?
Tomorrow it will be rainy in Tustin
with temperatures between 54 and 66 degrees.
Those little sound effects really cracked me up.
It's also interesting to see
that we only have two ambient light choices
and they're both white.
So I could see some people wanting a little bit more splash,
a little bit more flash,
and a little bit more pizzazz
out of something that does cost half a million dollars.
But Rolls-Royce is still going
for a little bit of that classier demographic.
And for now, I think it's still a safe bet for them.
So thank you all so much for coming along with us.

and remarkably quiet and comfortable evening ride,
