I'm doing an interview that I've always wanted to do. Uh, I've actually
shown her that I DM'ed her two years ago, August 1st, August 2021, and I'm
Really excited to have a conversation with the one and only Rono Chebet. Hey,
Thank you for having me, Ali. I'm so happy, by the way. Uh, yes. How are you?
What about you? I'm doing okay. I'm happy, excited for today. Yeah. Well, that's

coming across your video back during the COVID times and was like, this is
mad talent. This is crazy. This cracks me up. This makes my day. How did it
All start? Uh, during high school in 2019, I started making videos. I think I was
among the first people in Kenya to start making videos. Um, and then during
COVID is when I became, you know, a bit consistent, and then Ronald started.
Yeah, did you think this would blow up like this? No way.
Even when people found me funny, I'd think, why? I'm just sharing stories, that's all.
Then people find me interesting. I said, okay, so have you always been funny?
growing up telling stories to people because it looks like that's what you're supposed to do
were doing, you know, giving us different reactions to different
things that were happening in life. Well, I used to charge people ten bob back then.
Primary. No way. Yeah, for stories. I used to go cram movies. You tell me the
A movie you want me to go watch is Kamani Romance. Mm hmm. And then I'll come with you.
Yeah, that's how I was making money in elementary school, but then in high school I was a
a really good storyteller, so during break time, I would just sit around
people and tell them stories, and I realized, why don't I record this thing?
And yeah. What's your reaction when you realize that, you know, the videos
that I'm doing, they're going viral. Um, okay. At first I wasn't surprised.
because of high school there was that impact of people telling me, like, wow,
You're a good storyteller. But I was surprised that the whole other like
outside the school area or people liked it, and I was like, okay, I can kind of
cross borders. I can even make people who are 30, 24, and 25 laugh. So yeah, that
was when I think I started taking it seriously, when it blew up outside of
high school. Tell us about the things you were doing the time you realized that
This is something. How are you uploading your videos? Was it daily?
Was it weekly? How was your consistency? I've never changed my consistency. I
I'm justITES, I'm very impulsive. It's just, I shoot it and I post. I shoot and post.
Yeah. You don't, you weren't planning like I plan, which let's

It was normally lower. Um, so I got a bit of exposure from, you know, agencies.

the journey you went through from content creation to being on the radio, and then stepping away

that you have to get to know that you're going to get to the radio or how was it like
You? So the numbers online were obviously good. And that naturally drew attention. This
was like some producers who thought I would be good at data due to the
the nature of storytelling and my reactions to people. And so, at that time, I was such
a yes person, even without knowing my purpose, I was so young, I just wanted to
do things and be everywhere. So when they gave me the opportunity to be on
Radio, I said, why not? And I, I rushed in without even thinking if it's
something I would enjoy. Um, and let's say a couple of months, years down the line
line, I began to notice a change in my, in let's say my preferences, even my
passions. I realized maybe I'm doing this for people. I feel like I'm doing it for them.
a radio for people, or it could be a good idea. You know, when something just looks
Good on paper, but doesn't feel right in the heart. That was all it was. I just
thought I was good at it, but I wasn't truly happy in it. So, and also I
I didn't even know what I wanted to do, man. I just knew I was good at talking.
So I decided to quit radio. And then I found myself back in radio again, because
Everyone made me feel like it was a mistake. So during my young age, I could

anything. I was moving from manager to manager, friend to friend, more
because I would listen to others more than to myself. I felt they had the
answers more than I did. And especially if that person was someone close to me, like someone in
my family, I always thought they knew better, or because they've known me,
They're right. But so I jumped around a lot between passions and things, and I started
things and stopped and started. So I ended up being in a little bit of a
depression in the sense that a lot of things were happening to me. And also, I
I can't deny that I made some mistakes, because I was young and also human.
But I spiraled, and I drank a lot. I did a lot of drugs to cope.
Mainly because that's all I knew. I wouldn't say who specifically influenced me, but
The person I looked up to at the time was really into it. And the people I
looked up to were into it and they could function, but I couldn't function. I
would just burn bridges and stuff. So it's only until recently that I reclaimed
My life, and I feel like I'm on a better foundational journey.
I kind of resonate with what you're saying—that, you know, sometimes you feel
like you don't have answers to things. And for me, it happens because of self
doubt. Like you're always saying, "Is it really going to work?" But I think if
Someone told me it's going to work; they're giving me more confidence. I
I don't know if it was the same for you.
When you say people are telling you it's going to work, what do you mean?
For example, you want to do something, but you have doubts, you know,
But if someone tells you it's the right thing, you end up feeling like they must be right.
Oh, for sure. For sure. I think I did, I looked for validation a lot, especially
used to think that because they were older, they knew, and I
didn't really have a support system. You know, when you have people who guide
You and they know you and they know what's going on, and they've even gone to school.
for what they can, like your managers have gone to school or something. I
didn't have that. So I took it from the people I believed were older. And what
what happened was I was just looking at how they could modify my
potential rather than how I am seeing my potential. So the self-doubt came from
I've messed up so many times. What's different this time? Or have I failed again?
Do it this many times. What is different this time? And then of course,

to me, like, ah, I should just give up now. There's no need to try. Yeah. Do you
Ever regret, you know, going into radio? Do you ever regret sitting on that mic?
And just doing what you know, the things people made you believe you're good at? I
I don't think so. It shaped me in many ways. I was exposed to so many
things at a young age. At the time, I think I was the youngest on air. And I
learned so much about professionalism, signing contracts, you know, just having
a bank account, you know, I had to have one now that I was, you know, employed
even though I knew so much at a young age, which was awesome. But again, on the
drawback, I didn't consider it. I didn't think it through. And it wasn't a
passion. So I was basically forcing myself to do it, which wasn't pleasant. And I guess
people would say, you know, it's still a job, you should be grateful. But I
didn't want to do it. And I think I just left it for the people who might have wanted to.
Love being there and won that position. So yeah,
so most of the time when things are going well for us, I mean, you're having
gigs, you're landing deals, you're doing events, and you're making it. And people
I really look up to you. And they're like, I want to be like him. I want to be like
her. But then all of a sudden, they feel like, why are you telling us that you're
depressed? You have it all. It looks like your life is perfect. It looks like you're happy.
are doing crazy things that we would have wished to do at your age. Would you say
It's the same thing you know, people, you know, the same kind of energy
why are you telling us that you're depressed?
We're looking at your life, and it looks so perfect.
And I think that's exactly where I'll look at it from. You're just looking at
What you can see. And we just talked off camera—we were talking about Avicii.
And, like, sometimes people have everything you want. And you're
Wondering why you're depressed? I mean, you're rich, you know, there's so much
that happens to a human beyond what they have and acquire. And I think we
should we all stop marginalizing it in the sense that if someone has money, they're fine?
Yes, they could be financially stable, or they could have those opportunities. But
Who are they mentally? Who are they emotionally? What are their experiences?
the traumas they've been through? You know, so I think that's a bit ignorant to
believe that because you acquire what most people want, you, you know, you
You shouldn't complain, or you shouldn't be sad. Yeah, but I've learned to be.
grateful, completely grateful for the opportunities I've had, mostly
because I lost some, and just to be grateful, because you never know what,
how others see it could be precious to them, and you're
narrowing it down. So yeah,
That's crazy. But also talking about depression, we really love to know, did
ever know that you were depressed when you were depressed? Or was there a
a moment, you know, of, you know, you realizing that I think I'm depressed and
I need help.
Oh, it was bad because it was silent. It started out silent. And I don't think I

As a normal person, I was going cheaper and cheaper into the bottle.
terms of like the quality of what I was drinking. At times, you know those
sachets for like a sock? Yeah, I'd sit with guys at the Jamba base. And
because I didn't, I still really don't like attention to this day. I don't like
the hype of oh, you know, Ali, oh my God. No, I really like to experience
people as they are. And I didn't really understand that at the time. It was yeah, yeah,
Yeah. So I was going to places where I wouldn't be, you know, pressured or, you know, stressed.
know, even more so when judged. Yeah, so when it got to the point where the alcoholism
It was tricky. And I went to rehab. I remember my first time. The second time.
I put it, I relapsed and put it back on again and realized it's bigger. It was
something I've been ignoring for so long, you know, sweeping it under the rug, just
being silent. Someone does something to me, I'm betrayed by friends. It's,
People are saying this on the internet; I'm brushing it under the rug. By the

friendship. I mean, uh, there are many different ways that you can view it, you
know, friendship. And I watched one of your interviews, and something that

changed, you know, your perspective on the people you bring into your life
Life has truly changed. Enlighten us about what it's like now. I was so naive.
So naive. I can't explain naivety. I thought everyone loved you and wanted
The best for you. And when you're rising, just as everyone's duty is to hold it
up so that they and I trusted a lot of people. That's why I went wrong. I was,

thinking. Uh, when these possibilities arise of, you know, being mistrusted or someone
lying, or, you know, I just ignored all of that because I thought people were nice. So
from experiences with friendships, betrayal, and, you know, being too open. Also, I
realized you have to be discreet. You have to be discreet. You know, you can't
Just be open and real. Guys don't like that. Yeah, they want mysterious, you know.
Know? So right now I'm enjoying my solitude. I used to have a problem with
being alone. So I'm enjoying solitude. I'm also very selective. I have whom I
trust, whom I allow in. Also who I am and what I say and how do I say this? The
places I'm in, you know, you can also expose yourself to certain things there
wrong places. So very just being cautious and intentional, and I think
soberness in the sense that I'm not just anywhere at any time. Yeah. Yeah. That's it.
Crazy. Uh, looking at that, do you still have friends you used to hang out with?
with those times that right now you're close to, or did you like, you know, just

members, not that because even they were wrong, just for clarity. I think for
clarity, and um, I still do talk to some people from my past, but it's very much
Acquaintances, and some of them don't even know that I know you did me wrong.
As in a, I'm at least graceful with the distance. So right now you would say
You don't have many friends, very few—just one or two, one or two.
Family. Okay. Now one of the things that we really also want to talk about
is when you, you sink into depression, how easy was it? How tough was it? You
Know, coming out—what was the journey like?
I was afraid to come out of it because of how deep I had gone. Um, I knew it.
It was a lot of work. I had to confront many truths, but um, I remember
Looking in the mirror the second time I was in rehab, I was crying.
I promise you, I never want to be in this position again.
Making a promise to myself. I never want to see you like this again.
I'll never put you in this position again. And from that day on, just as I did, I kept
That promise I made to myself, and I've never betrayed myself again. How I did.
Um, I do my best to return to myself as much as I can. Um, yeah, that's what.
I was saying. Yeah. You might be betrayed by people. You might
go through tough situations in life. Do you believe the saying that says that it
It doesn't matter what you're going through; it's entirely up to you to get out of it.
Yes. Oh yes. Because that fear of dealing with it matched up to nothing at all.
who I am today. Like I hit my gym goals. I hit my financial goals. I restored things to
myself that I never thought I could. So yeah, it's scary to face. It's
scary to face, but the outcome was far beyond what I expected. I'm in such a

One of the things that probably also drove you into depression was your body.
shaming. And there's a time, there are a couple of instances when you used to address it on
comments, perhaps replying to someone or perhaps addressing them through a video. Uh,
uh, when, when, when you, when you are going through all that, did you ever feel
like people don't understand you? Maybe people are judging you too harshly. Have you ever

probably people who are overweight, probably people like me. Have you ever felt like all

I feel like people constantly emit negative energy no matter who you are, but I feel like

could be like, you're not even all that, but I was kind of all that. But, um, in
the sense of the gift, and they felt like that was the only way to reach me
because it was an insecurity. I feel like they want to poke you so that you
can be weak in a certain sense, but I am grateful that they did because I became
healthy, and I actually did take care of my health, um, and, uh, made changes, but
How they did it wasn't the best way, I'd say. Um, but I can't really blame them.

to understand them. I simply decided to take what was criticism, the positive
one, like at the gym. And I took the positive one and I, you know, changed my
life. So right now you look great. You're in great shape. And, uh, I want

consistency, like for three months, and I'm getting back into shape, and you know, I'm
Happy. And when I'm happy, I eat fries, and you know, I'm back to feeling good.
The journey for you? It's like that. I think for everyone, I swear I've
started so many times, even I've stopped right now. I think it's such a hard
thing to maneuver because it requires a lot of discipline. Um, so what I can
saying it's being easy on yourself, like being easy on yourself, but knowing what
You need to do, be easy on yourself, don't relax, be easy on yourself, but still
Show up, I guess. Yeah. Did you go through a change in diet? Did you go

I was fasting for several days, intermittent fasting. I was basically living on smoothies.
dinner. I was doing pushups and pushing myself. I remember, like, I could never do
a push-up ever since I was born. And I was like, why can't I do a push-up? I'm
going to go to the gym and do upper body until I can do a pushup, until I can do

me in so many ways to stop giving up so easily, you know, to commit and be
disciplined to stuff. So yeah. So it comes with a whole mental discipline in
different perspectives on life, in different aspects of life. Like once you overcome
the gym, someone told me, you know, Ali, if you want to be in the best shape, you
don't just have to have it as the main thing you want to do, but let it
come as the foundation. So is it true that if you hit the gym and conquer, you
Know it, conquer it, be fit—will you be fit in every aspect of your life?
Exactly that. I can't put it any other way, because if you can convince
yourself to start moving your body at 4 a.m., 5 a.m., what can't you do? What can't
You do? You know, you've convinced just muscle to lift weights. What life
problem will you have? And you'll be like, no, I can't, you know, like, nah, I

How supportive would you say your family probably was during this time you're referring to?
trying to come, you know, to get out of depression and you're trying to get
In the best shape? Would you say some friends and family played a role?
Um, for sure. Yeah, I would. I really did feel alone though. I won't lie.
But I designed it that way. I pushed people away to be alone and push.
myself. But I had 1, 2, 3 people clapping for me, and even my followers and

and would even send private messages, consistently saying, "I'm behind you, I support you."
And that was really nice. Yeah. But mostly I was kind of alone. Yeah.
Being alone is extremely dangerous because sometimes you can become your best self.
of yourself. Sometimes you can be the worst version of yourself. I mean, you're
alone. No one is judging you. No one is looking at you. You're just alone. Do
Have you ever regretted being that side, uh, bringing out that side of you that, you
know, I'm alone and I want to do this alone. Do you ever feel like if you
have had a group of people, a community, you know, just supporting you
Maybe it will. It would have been better, for sure. Um, in a way, I feel like
I was protecting myself from becoming happy. It would have been good to have
people I could rely on, people I could lean on, but I wanted to get to know myself
away from the noise. I was so used to listening to other people and believing
Them. So I was like, well, what do I think? Who am I when no one's looking?
So yeah.
You've also lost a couple of friends, as you said. And I mean, because they did.
some things you didn't expect. Are there friends you wish
Like, you know, I just wish we were bros just like before. I just wish you never
betrayed me. I wish we could be friends the way we are. Are there people like
You would say that, you know, this person, I loved them so much. I
I just wish they were in my life.
I think it was a month or three months ago. Yes. But now everything happened just as it
should have. And our journey together came to an end, and I am grateful.
For the memories and the joy. But now I must continue alone, or with whom?
Join me now. Yeah.
Off camera, we also discussed celebrities who rise and when they fall.
In a way, because of depression, because of one, two, three things, it's really

to do it? Because I mean, there's a time I would really go online and say that I
I can't see Ronald; I was saying, you know, like Ronald is somehow silent.
Ronald isn't giving us what she used to give us. And right now I get to
Instagram, I get to take talk on my FYP and I'm seeing Ronald, you know, how did

chances, a second chance rather, because there's no amount of mistakes that can
separate us from the love of God. And even I was thinking, I don't know if I'll ever
recover, but he is gracious and the one who gives. So I still use the gift
That he's given me to continue with. So yeah, yeah.
That's crazy. There was a time when we saw a different side of Ronald, you know.
When you came back and you're like, you know, all of you, I'm going to expose you
for the things you've done to me. One, two, three people and the whole
The internet went crazy, you know, and then for some reason you didn't do it.
Reason. You just stayed silent. What was that reason?
So, um, I think, uh,
At that moment, I wanted to justify a lot of what I had been through. I feel like I let a lot
Slid a lot, slid a lot because I stayed silent about my suffering. I was just
making people laugh and stay silent about my pain. Um, and that day I was like,
You had to know, you had to know I was going to do it. And it wasn't me. I don't think so.
It's me. I didn't get satisfaction from it. It actually just made me feel
worse. Uh, so I realized it's not worth my energy. It's just giving, it's just

There are moments when, while creating content, you just know—when people are always

The comparison shot we discussed—did it ever reach you? Like, why are people

you deserved? I honestly believe that in whatever field you are in, people will
always compare you. So comparison is nothing new. But what in this specific

Still, if I, okay. If that's how it is, then I'm still on top, you know what I mean?
What I'm trying to say is that I don't think anyone can take anything from what
is, like, no one can be another Ali. Ali has specific Ali traits and
comparison is a waste of time because then you don't get to experience Elsa as she truly is

They're still there. I'm not dealing with anyone I don't want to deal with.
With me. I'm chilling with my cats. Actually, my cat, that one, died. But, uh,
Yeah, I love cats. They're just amazing. But I'm just chilling. I'm not dealing with it.
Anyone. I'm making my money and staying humble as much as I can with my one,
two friends. Yeah. One thing that you wish, or what are some of the things that
you wished that you had known back then when you were starting that you're like, if I
I knew this one, two, three, I'm telling you, I'd be in a different place.
Stop listening to people. That's one. And trust yourself. Oh my God. Trust.
so much on the right path. Um, and finally you're good enough. You're
good enough, and you're ready. That's what I'd say. Many celebrities are in a
a situation where, you know, people recognize them. Uh, they have money, they have
Fame. Um, they have what they want. They are far removed from their true purpose.
Well, how would you say, uh, is the right way to find your purpose? And what did it?
What did it take for you to realize what your purpose was? I think my purpose came
with how things turned out, and I realized maybe I'm chasing the wrong one

realized I don't need them, like, you know, friends and, um, success, you
You know, and you know, I didn't need it. I just had to grow into it. I had to grow
into my purpose, which was helping people, um, being a voice for the
generation. You know, I'm very much into comedy, um, what's the word
teaching, in a sense, is educational, and it's still humorous, and it's also

Like, is there a way to find your purpose? I don't think there's really a

You know, if it's media, take yourself to those positions and
Expose yourself. If you find happiness there and find fulfillment, pursue it.
Yeah, that's crazy. And that's great. But one thing I also love about personally
purpose is the fact that you do not have to conform yourself to a specific

something knowing that this is your purpose. And then you reach a point
that you feel like, I think I've already done a lot and I think I need something bigger

Rono, I think I love one huge thing—I love that which is actually outstanding.
the talent, because the Rono we are seeing right now is the same Rono that
We saw years ago, just that they've been through different things, you know,
They've been transformed. What is one thing that just made you say, "You"?
Know what, I'm not giving up. You're on the verge of giving up, but there's
Just one thing that made you say, you know what, you told me that you looked
look at yourself in the mirror and you told yourself, I'm going to do this. I'm
I'm going to do this. I'm going to do this. Is there something, is there a
In your circumstances, is there someone who just made you not give up on yourself?
I think it was the thought of the death of potential. I never wanted to live with
myself and say I never tried. I never wanted to say I had an opportunity and
I threw it away. I was like, I'm not a quitter. I've never been a quitter. I'm
Competitive as hell, man. I actually love competition. And so I was like,
How can I, the one thing I love, be doing this to myself? Why? Like stand up.
And try to see how far you can go, then we can give up afterward. So that was it.
Yeah. And yeah, and I think the support from people was so immense. I
think a lot of people are like, I'm not going to let your story die. I'm not
I'm not going to let your story die. Just like you make me happy. So please, please, you
Know, so there are the fans as well. Yeah.
If you had fans, you know, coming to your DMs, just telling you, you know, your story
You have transformed me. Your story has inspired me. Your story has changed me.
I was on the verge of giving up. I don't know if you've ever been through such moments.
So many, even alcohol-related problems. I've had men, men who have ever reached
Come to me and said they have an alcohol problem and they just don't want to
Face it. And that was such a shock to me because I'm used to women.
But even women who struggle with weight always reach out, and they're like, how
Did you do it? You know, so there's that. And I'm grateful positional.
I am truly grateful to be a guide. Yes.
Did you plan to do a mentorship thing, or are you doing it currently?
I'm working on it. I'm working on it.
But I did release a diet plan to help people, like.
But I'm working toward something bigger.
So stay tuned. Yeah, amazing.
What is Rono currently doing?
You know, we used to see you on the radio besides the content.
Are you working on things?
Are you doing things you'd love to share?
I am laying the foundations for a couple of projects.
And until then, I'm just creating content.
And I have a purpose in science.
Yeah, and I'm in a science field.
So I don't know what I'm going to do there.
Are you studying? Yeah, yeah, I am.
Yeah, yeah.
Where are you studying? Public health.
Which university? Daystar.
Yeah, that's crazy.
Which year is it now? My fourth year, actually my third.
Yeah. How is it?
How is it going so far?
I mean, going back to school is crazy.
It's crazy.
They never warn me.
American guys don't say anything.
They don't say anything.
So, yeah, school is a bit tricky.
But again, working on some projects and I'm hoping for the best.
What would you say is the ultimate goal, you know, of getting into science?
Damn, damn, damn, damn.
Perhaps in the biomedical field.
I kind of see, yeah, yeah, I kind of do.
But I know it will take a lot of my time.
Still thinking about it.
Is this something you've always wanted to do?
I've always loved science.
I've always been a science person.
So, yeah, this is a side of you we're getting to learn right now.
Yeah, biology was like my first love.
So there's that.
And I hope I can make a difference in people's lives in that other way.
Yeah, you've got a lot of depression in your life.
Someone might think right now, you know,
That's the biggest thing she's ever thought of.
And it's perfect.
Her life is perfect right now.
What would you say to that person?
Bado, I don't think your life will ever be perfect.
What I believe is that whatever and wherever we are in life is beautiful and nice.
And not that last year you should have been here or next year.
Right where you are right now is beautiful.
And it's still yet to become even more beautiful.
What I'm experiencing right now is a foundation for something great.
I really do see great things.
And I'm currently underground, let's say, laying that foundation.
Yes, many people tend not to appreciate
life because basically they think that other people have better.
But they tell us that once you go to prison,
Once you go to rehab, my friend, you're going to appreciate life.
At that moment, did you truly appreciate life?
Were you like, I was okay?
I respected freedom.
I don't think people understand how amazing freedom is.
You're in Nairobi.
Yes, you are seeing the road.
Yes, but you're locked up and there's not much you can do.
What I can tell people is not to look at someone else's life and think it's better.
Love your life, love your family, love your hands, the way you walk.
I love you because no one else will.
The way you can love yourself and not look left or right, and still be able to admire.
I don't think there's anything wrong with envying and admiring.
It's normal. It means you can get what you want.
But don't fixate on someone else's life.
Just as people have different upbringings stemming from diverse backgrounds,
different even financial statuses.
You're competing with someone who has a trust fund.
What are you going to do about it?
What?
Yeah.
Would you say there's a moment when you felt like, no matter what, I've got it all?
and people are going through it worse than me,
You know when you're in rehab?
I don't think I've ever felt like I had it all.
People are the ones who've always told me I had it all.
That mindset came from people, and I blame you now because I think my head is full.
But what can I say?
I knew it was going to take time. I didn't put any pressure on myself at all. I didn't say, you know, now you're behind everyone else.
Oh, no, I just meant give yourself time to be consistent in everything you do.
genuinely and be intentional genuinely and
Just wait it out—if it works out, that's great; if it doesn't, you did your best, and that's the mindset.
I went with it, and before I knew it, corporate came back, and at least I was on par.
And I'm still trying to be better than I could ever imagine
So yeah, I've actually been a huge fan on YouTube. I loved your videos, you know.
And at some point I felt like the drone of pause, the drone of break for YouTube, you know.
How is it going so far with you now providing us with funding content on YouTube, as I mentioned projects are in the works
Since I didn't want to publish mediocre content either, I guess I was just tired of shooting videos on my phone.
And also posting the same content, so I wanted to go back and find out how I can
Restructure the content to look better—start new projects with higher quality. That's precisely why I took a break.
Otherwise, it's not that I'm inconsistent, guys. I'm just preparing something good. Yeah.
Looking back now
You would say the things you didn't know you knew right now.
What would you tell
The first Rono to take a phone to shoot
What would you say to the Rono who was feeling down? What did you tell the Rono who was in rehab?
What would you have told her right now if you had the chance to sit down with her?
Thank you for changing my life
Thank you for being courageous.
Yeah
Because the first girl who picked up a camera changed my life
I'm really at a point where I'm struggling financially, and it's because of her—like, that time.
You know
I could have gone to school and toiled and labored, but she had the courage to do so, and now I never
Struggle that much compared to if I hadn't done it
Thank you for being courageous. Yeah
That's crazy. I mean the way you're viewing life right now and
the way
We view life or the way others perceive life
I think being grateful for the things you've gone through, being grateful for the hardships
I mean, that's mind-blowing. What did you just say that you're actually so grateful for?
That you wouldn't want to lose it
Life
Life is so precious, health. I think health is so underrated. I
I am so grateful for the gift of life and breath.
health
Yeah
People would want other things
because I saw what alcohol did to me and
I guess I was close to losing my life in a health-related way.
God restored it to me in a way that I will never, ever forget.
and it's precious because it can leave, and I've seen people my age leave, and even younger ones leave, and
Promising lives go, and yet you're still here. So without life, I don't have Renault, you know what I mean?
So I'd say life is everything—do you feel that way?
The things you went through during that time somehow strengthened you.
The relationship between you and God, and would you say that before then it was somewhat weaker? I
Love God, I've only ever had I always have
but I feel like those low moments really brought me closer to him and
Because of him, he gave me life. So I'm here and
He is the most
A gracious person I've ever met, and it doesn't matter what you've done. It doesn't matter if he appears to use anyone and everyone.
and
I'm also grateful to him, though. Yeah, amazing.
I mean, this is one crazy conversation, and if you've learned something from Ronald
Isn't it just about being grateful for life, since you might never know—you could lose it today?
Someone just lost it the second you started watching this video.
But be grateful, for it is the only thing you are given once by God.
Like it's just the only thing, it's crazy to think about it that way.
Like it's the only thing that, when God takes it, you never get it back. So just be
Wow, amazing, Sana. Thank you so much for coming. I really love having this conversation over and over again.
I mean, it's crazy to see you back
It's just amazing always seeing your videos
By the way, I'm a huge fan, and many people love you so much.
Talk to your fans or don't. Tell them what to expect from you.
Uh-huh, the country folks. I love you all so much, and I feel like you're my virtual friends.
Please don't give up and don't compare your life to people you see online. There's a lot of fake stuff out there.
But I can tell you, man
So avoid comparing yourself, know that you are loved, and keep pursuing your goals, guys—don't give up, go for it.
