The true charm of cold-process soap lies in patience and time. In this video, I’m sharing the complete making process of a 100% natural "Pomelo Gradient Soap."
To achieve that warm, sunset-like gradient without any artificial colorants, I used natural "Turmeric Powder" and "Sea Buckthorn Oil." The video is a bit on the longer side, but every moment of stirring, blending, and pouring is incredibly relaxing and visually healing. If you find peace in this process and watch until the very end, don't forget to let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Hello everyone, this episode brings you
A grapefruit gradient soap made with natural pigments
Add 2-3 scoops of turmeric powder
Pour an appropriate amount of purified water, and the proportion is not strictly required
Blend with a blender for 10-15 seconds
Turmeric has a strong coloring power, but there is a common problem with natural pigments
Is that the color will become lighter and lighter with the soap drying time
The filtered turmeric liquid is frozen
Many people will ask: Why do you add this step
Because caustic soda can release heat quickly when exposed to water
This operation can reduce that risk
Furthermore, it can reduce the effect of heat on color
Heavy grapefruit hangs on the treetops
It's the season for grapefruit again
Peel the grapefruit peel and put it in a dryer for low-temperature drying
Can retain golden color and aroma
Add camellia oil to soak
A golden and fragrant grapefruit-flavored soaking oil will be obtained
Soak grapefruit in 195 grams of camellia oil (the recipe will be shown at the end of the video)
Add 60 g of coconut oil
Add 30 grams of creamy caryophyllum butter
Add 15 grams of sea buckthorn fruit oil in order to tone the color
Make the color more golden after soap
The turmeric liquid is frozen into ice
Turmeric ice in the sun bling bling
Take 75g of turmeric ice cubes
Add 43 g of caustic soda
Remember to add in small amounts and multiple times while stirring
When completely dissolved, mix the lye with the grease
Stir with a stirrer until the soap is light T
It's a bit like yogurt
Take the same total amount of 300 grams of grease
Add the lye solution dissolved in advance
Use a stirrer to stir until the soap is in a light T state and stops
Now you can start making the gradient soap
Take a spoonful of yellow soap and add it to white soap
Stir evenly
Pour the soap liquor diagonally along the side of the mold at a constant speed
Just pour one back and forth at average speed
Add another spoonful of yellow soap
After stirring evenly, repeat the previous operation and pour it back and forth at a uniform speed
Add the yellow soap solution one by one, and repeat the operation several times
Achieve a gradient effect
When that soap liquid in the mold reaches one half
You can increase from one spoonful of yellow soap to two spoonfuls
The color change will be more pronounced
As the soap is superimposed layer by layer, the golden gradient will slowly appear
After completion, the mold is placed in an incubator at 35 degrees for 12 hours
After waiting for 24 hours, the mold was removed and demolded
Because the water has not evaporated yet, the soap body will be relatively soft at this time
Handle carefully, otherwise it is easy to leave scratches
Fully saponified handmade soap with smooth edges
The feeling of the steel wire pressing down when cutting soap
Do you imagine cutting another big chunk of butter
Show the grapefruit gradient soap you made this time
Coloring of turmeric powder and sea buckthorn fruit oil
Make the soap body really look like a ripe grapefruit
I occasionally repair the surface of the soap body after cutting it
The finished surface will be more delicate
Finally stamped
After stamping, you belong to me!
