Hannah Harper | Almost There | Top 9 Perform | American Idol 2026

Mama, I don't have time for dancing That's just gonna have to wait a while I ain't got time for messing around And it's not my style This old town can slow you down People taking the easy way But I know exactly where I'm going Getting closer and closer every day And I'm almost there, almost there People down here think I'm crazy But I don't care Trials and tribulations I've had my share But there ain't nothing gonna stop me now Cause I'm almost there I remember daddy told me Fairy tales can come true You've gotta make them happen It all depends on you So I work real hard each and every day And things for sure are going my way Just doing what I do Look out boys, I'm coming through People gonna come here from everywhere And I'm almost there There's been trials and tribulations You know I've had my share Climbing across the river And I'm almost there Almost there Oh, I'm almost there You kind of started with this Reba McIntyre attitude thing And then you grew into your character And you didn't overdo anything You did it perfectly like your personality That we know you is And I loved it One of my favorite performances you've ever done Thank you so much If I have to say ditto ditto, that's a ditto But I'm gonna give you a little hint about something I learned this a long time ago What you do is Whatever you're gonna wear on stage Shoes Whatever shoes you're going to wear on stage Right? Make sure you wear them in rehearsal So that your shoes don't scare you to death When you start moving Otherwise I saw you concentrating on How much can I dare on that step Otherwise your performance was amazing Thank you And I will say it again I mean this is another way that you remind me of myself Because I got dragged when I was on this show For not moving enough And honestly it was just I had never done anything like this before And now I can't not move Like I sing with my entire body So I feel like you are on your way Just keep taking those steps Keep getting more comfortable in the space that you're in You were in character You sounded beautiful You look gorgeous You should be very proud Everything Everything they just said and more You look absolutely beautiful First of all And I love how you were natural and true to yourself In this moment And I know that's not your cup of tea To be able to perform and sing But you stood there and you sang that song And you gave us a little bit here and there You're on your way You're almost there Yes you are little sister Keep on going You tip your way to it And you know what You will be right where you want to be Okay Thank you so much Congratulations
