The speaker reviews collapsible water jugs from Core Muse, highlighting their utility for trekking, rucking, and camping. Emphasizing the importance of weight and space efficiency for outdoor adventures, the speaker compares these jugs to a previous budget model that lasted seven years, noting that the Core Muse version offers superior specifications and a convenient dispensing spout.
Welcome.
Today I want to talk to you about these collapsible water jugs that I picked up from a company
called Core Muse.
My wife and I enjoy trekking, rucking, camping, and for a lot of these little mini-adventures,
weight is a big concern.
Because for many of these destinations, you need to carry everything that you're going
to utilize for that, let's say, weekend or extended weekend, both into the area as well
as out.
So weight as well as space becomes a major issue.
A few years ago, about seven years ago, we were going on a trek, the first trek that
we were going on together, and I was looking for something, some containers that we could
utilize for our water gathering.
I came across these blue collapsible water jugs, never used them before, but I figured,
you know what, they fit the bill, super lightweight, foldable, can fit pretty much in any little
crevice of our gear, and decided to give them a try.
Well, seven years later, they were still serviceable up until last season when we went camping
and one of them sprung a leak.
Now I would have been happy if those water containers lasted just for that one adventure
because they are very budget-friendly, but I was certainly impressed that we got that
much more use out of it on a lot of our adventures because they are so convenient, they became
our go-to water jugs while we were out even in a camping situation.
So since I lost one of those collapsible water jugs last year, I looked around Amazon, found
these by Core Muse, the specifications on them were much better compared to the previous
collapsible water jugs that I had, and I decided to pick them up.
So let me go ahead and share some of those specifications with you now.
These collapsible water jugs hold eight liters, so approximately two gallons.
They are tested to be leak-proof, even under real pressure and weight.
They are incredibly lightweight, basically weighing nothing, not even a concern, even
when you are trekking.
They are made of a very durable material, even better constructed than my previous ones
that I said lasted quite a while.
You have a cap that affixes to the top here, and this is where you would fill, and you
could also, of course, empty it from the top, but what I like about this one that my previous
one didn't have is the little spout on the bottom, which makes things much easier in
any situation because you don't have to lift and pour.
You can turn the little spout, it turns into a faucet, and you can get your water that
way.
Also makes it ideal if you do want to hang it and use it in, let's say, a showering or
washing your hands type situation.
The plastic is BPA-free, and it's suitable for conditions from 32 degrees Fahrenheit
to 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
The spout just pops right into place, so very simple to take out and put in for packing
purposes.
There is a little measuring scale here on the side that tells you how many liters are
actually in there.
So if you do need to cook, let's say, for cooking purposes, and you need a certain amount
of water, you do have, let's say, a built-in measuring cup.
These seams are reinforced, and it does come with a one-year warranty from the manufacturer.
I do suggest that you rinse this out a few times.
I actually use a little bit of distilled vinegar, but just like anything that comes from the
factory, I like to go ahead and just rinse it out a few times, getting rid of any of
the residue that might be in there from the manufacturing process.
As I mentioned, very budget-friendly.
I'll put much more information in the description, so be sure to check that out, as well as my

Very appreciated.
So bottom line, whether you are looking for a water-gathering jug for trekking, rucking,
camping, emergency preparedness, that's convenient, super lightweight, incredibly portable, built
to last quite a while, and even features this new and improved little valve faucet on the
bottom.
Definitely take a look at these collapsible water jugs from Cor-Muse.
I'm sure I'll get many, many, many adventures, both solo and with my wife, out of these collapsible
water jugs, and I certainly suggest that you add them to your gear list.
