On April 30, 2026, my daughter, Aspen, was driving her Land Rover LR3 to school when another driver made an illegal U-turn and T-Boned her. Thankfully Aspen survived but our fully restored LR3 didn’t.

Hi everyone. Welcome back. Unfortunately, this isn't the video I ever wanted to make.
As you can see behind me, something is missing. This is going to be more like one of those very
special episodes. Remember in the 90s? A very special episode of Punky Brewster.
Tuesday on a very special Full House, a story of love. We missed you, Grandpa.
On April 30th, 2026, my daughter Aspen was driving her Land Rover LR3 to school
when a driver made an illegal u-turn and t-boned her.
That collision was severe enough that every airbag on the driver's side deployed.
The driver's side of the vehicle sustained extensive damage. Every panel on that side
was damaged. The front suspension arms were damaged. Most importantly, Aspen survived.
She did sustain upper body injuries for which she's still receiving treatment,
but considering the severity of the attack, we're just so pleased that she's still here with us.
One of the reasons I wanted to make this video is because we've spent so much time together
rebuilding the LR3 on this channel. Many of you have followed along as we repaired it,
upgraded it, and prepared it to serve our family. It's really hard to see all of that work come to
an end this way. Now, obviously, the insurance company declared it a total loss. They do that
all the time, even for smaller things, if it still outweighs the value of the vehicle. But
personally, after reviewing the extent of the damage with every single panel on the driver's
side, the undercarriage, all that, it was clear to me that it wasn't economically feasible to
repair it, even as a long-term project. As disappointing as that is, vehicles can be
replaced. People can't. And if there's anything positive to say after this, it's that I am amazed
at how well the LR3 performed, absorbing all that energy and protecting its occupants. I will always
respect the safety that the engineers put into that vehicle. I also want to thank every one of
you who has watched these videos, left comments, offered advice, or simply followed this journey
over the years. Your support has meant more than you probably realize. Now, since the star of this
video, the LR3, has been totaled, this will unfortunately be the last video in this particular
series. The backup camera, door lock actuator, and new leather cover for the armrest videos I planned
will not be made for this vehicle. Super clean and renegade ceramic coatings each sent products to
Aspen's vehicle looking beautiful, so I'm gonna have to scramble to work on other vehicles and
videos to review these, but I appreciate their patience. Now, right after the car wash, I'm here
spending way too much money on gas currently, but look at this here. Still all kinds of grime on there.
While this chapter is ending, I hope you'll stick around because there will be other projects on
this channel. As always, I'll continue sharing honest reviews, vehicle maintenance and improvements,
and whatever adventures come next. Please keep Aspen in your thoughts as she continues to recover.
Thank you for watching. Thank you for being part of this series, and I'll see you on the next project.
Take care, everyone.
