Woman spots tiny eyes behind her dryer then realizes why he won't move.
It started as an ordinary laundry day for a Florida resident named Alex.
But while doing chores, she suddenly noticed something unusual,
a pair of small black eyes staring back at her from the shadows behind the dryer.
To her surprise, a frightened opossum had somehow become trapped inside her home.
Alex tried gently coaxing the little animal out, but the nervous visitor refused to move.
Unsure whether the opossum was injured or simply too scared to escape,
she decided to call for help.
Soon, a rescuer from WILD Florida Rescue arrived to assess the situation.
The rescuer, Lulu, quickly realized that reaching the opossum would be a challenge.
The animal was wedged in a tight space behind the dryer,
surrounded by pipes and storage items.
Carefully maneuvering into position,
Lulu managed to reach the opossum and gently grasp him, hoping to lift him to safety.
But as she tried to pull him free,
she discovered the problem the opossum's long prehensile tail had wrapped tightly around a
nearby pipe.
The tail, normally useful for balancing and gripping branches in the wild,
was now holding him firmly in place.
With patience and experience, Lulu slowly uncurled the tail from the pipe without hurting the animal.
The moment he was finally free, the opossum wasted no time.
In a flash, he dashed past his rescuer and ran straight out of the house,
disappearing back into the wild.
Watching him sprint away into the brush, the rescue team couldn't help but smile,
relieved that the unexpected laundry-day visitor was safely back where he belonged.
