AI GeneratedThe creator shares her journey of personal reinvention and healing following a period of hardship and a toxic five-year relationship. By aligning her external style with her internal growth, prioritizing wellness, and confronting childhood trauma through therapy and faith, she demonstrates how to rebuild self-worth and identity from the ground up.
We are going to completely reinvent ourselves.
Getting our hair done.
Oh my gosh, the sunset right now.
Your girl is actually going out tonight.
Okay, what do we think of the makeup?
Mommy, you want some matcha?
You can't drink this.
Hello everyone, welcome to another vlog, another day, another vlog.
So I got my little matcha here.
Mr. Leo is joined here with us today.
Today's vlog is actually going to be a very different one
because I have entered a really
different chapter of my life recently.
If you know, you know, if you're a real one
and have been watching my vlogs, I kind of opened up
about the things that I've been going through.
But if you haven't watched those and you need to be caught up with the girlies,
basically, the end of 2025
and pretty much all of
2026, like the beginning of the year,
let me tell you, it has been humbling.
Okay, literally the past few months had me
fighting for my life. I went through a lot
of personal things, a lot of hard things
that has honestly changed me as a person.
Literally every aspect of my life.
And you know when you're going through kind of like a hard time
or you're in the middle of a slump, you start to like not
really feel like yourself. You're confused.
You start asking yourself, who am I?
What am I doing here? What is my purpose?
Well, if you've also been in a slump or been
through a really difficult time in your life like your girl,
here's your sign that you do not have to stay there.
You're allowed to reinvent yourself.
You're allowed to decide who you are, who you
want to be. And that's what this season is all
about for me. I am committed to realigning
with who I am, who I'm meant to be.
And I realize the way you show up for yourself externally
should also reflect how you show up for yourself
internally. And so that's what today's video is going to be
all about. We are going to completely reinvent
ourselves in all areas of our life.
I'm talking mentally, physically, spiritually.
And so we're going to start off with step one,
physically. So yeah, come and join your girl
and let's reinvent ourselves for the better
together. Okay, so this is the part that
I was honestly most excited for. And it's
to create a visual blueprint of the woman
you're becoming, what she looks like.
So literally for like the past 30 minutes, I was scouring
the internet, Pinterest, TikTok, everywhere
to find outfits that just represent
the person that I want to become. Having a
visual representation of what she looks like
is really going to help you visualize and then
embody it. And a huge part of this new chapter
for me, I am trying to elevate my style.
The real ones already know my style. Like a lot
of my style before, it was very much like this.
Very body-ody-ody.
A lot of athleisure it's giving.
I just came from the gym, but I
still want to look cute. You know, it served me back
then in my past, but not anymore.
And I realized I really want to go for
classy, timeless, elevated.
And so I've been saving a bunch of
outfits that I really, really like. And if you can
see here, the style is very much like
it's kind of giving office baddie.
Very elevated, chic,
timeless, tailored.
And I was just trying to get the vibe of what I'm going
for and this is very much very accurate.
Seeing it all together here, I'm like
so excited to dress like this now. And another thing
I did was actually save links to outfits
that I'm actually going to get. So using the
inspiration pics, I found a bunch of similar
items from White Fox. So for example,
these low-waisted blue jeans.
This is definitely my vibe. I'm excited.
And I'm going to order these clothes
and then embody this new version of myself.
Alrighty guys, guess what came in
the mail?
Ta-da! So your girl did
a massive order from White Fox
because you guys already know, we are trying to reinvent
ourselves. I'm trying to upgrade my
style, level it up for a more classy,
upgraded, elevated look.
By the way, White Fox offers express
worldwide shipping and next day delivery and
two days delivery. So a bunch of these that I
actually picked out. It's stuff that I normally
wouldn't pick out. I'm excited!
Okay, first outfit. We're starting off a little simple.
Woo!
I've been loving a good, like, wide
leg jean. And so when I saw these on the site, I was
like, I need them. And I, like, love this, like,
halter top style. I have multiple pairs
of White Fox jeans and I
love them. Like, they're amazing quality. They just
always fit so nice. And you can never go
wrong with a simple white top. And you guys
know how we talked about being classy, elevating?
This blazer,
oh my gosh, I'm so excited to try this blazer on.
It's so funny because anyone that knows me kno-
Oh my gosh, wait, I love it. I love it!
Anyone that knows me knows that they would never
catch me in a blazer, like, ever.
And then my taste has changed because why do I
love a good blazer now? Are we grown-ups or
what? I feel so professional, guys.
This is a moment. This is a moment.
With some, like, nice heels.
It's giving, I'm going to the office.
But I still look cute. I love it!
Okay, next.
I was kind of unsure about this, but
now that I put it on, I think it's actually super
cute. This sweater is so soft.
It's kind of giving, like, school girl
a little bit, but, like, elevated, you know?
Not that I don't love a crop top still, but I just
have so many crop tops where I'm just like,
enough is enough. I need to invest
in some, like, non-crop tops, so
this sweater was one. Okay,
next outfit. How cute!
It's everything.
I love the oversized fit. I feel like
this is, like, the perfect spring jacket because
you know, spring, you need some layers, but
it's not, like, super hot or anything. This dress
also is super cute. Perfect!
Literally the perfect length.
And this dress, it snatches you in. I love when an
outfit looks feminine, but also has
a little bit of, like, edginess. I feel like this
outfit gives that. Also, fun fact, I'm going to
Japan this month. I'm
definitely bringing this jacket over there with some, like,
boots or something.
White Fox has the cutest sunglasses.
Oh, yeah. This is the fit.
This is a fit. Guys, I think
I found my favorite outfit. It's giving
fairy princess. I don't
know where I'm going to go in this outfit, but now I want to go
somewhere because this outfit is so cute.
I love, like, the length of it. It cuts
off so perfectly. And the skirt!
This is very much spring
fairy princess vibes, and I love it.
I love it. This outfit, like, I'm like, where's
my castle? And my prince?
Okay, I lied. This is my
favorite outfit. This top is so
cute, guys. It's so flattering.
Like, it has this, like, little scarf thing.
So classy.
Your whole back is open, but the front?
I feel like this would look really cute
with a pair of jeans, too.
And I did a little updo because I feel like it just
makes the top stand out even more.
What do you guys think? What do you guys think? Comment down below.
I want to know what your favorite outfit is so far.
I think this is my favorite. I'm wearing this shirt again
because I love it so much, and then I paired it with these
dress pants from White Fox that
I actually already own these. Like, these are one of my
favorite pants, and I just knew
these pants would look so cute with this top.
It goes right. This is definitely, like, a New York City
look. A lot of girlies in New York City, when you
go out, this is, like, a good fit for that. It looks
business in the front, party in the back.
I'm definitely more comfortable in pants.
We're trying to work on that, though.
Even, like, dresses, I'm more comfortable wearing than skirts.
For some reason, something with skirts makes me feel a little weird.
Okay, last outfit.
We got a little, like, halter top.
You guys know I love my halter tops. It has, like,
this really pretty lace on it.
Actually, not white. It's, like, a cream color.
I feel like it's so pretty for spring.
And it's, like, so stretchy and comfortable.
Like, this thing, it snatches you in.
And I thought it'd be really cute with this jacket.
Because, look. Ready?
How adorable is this fit?
I love the fit of this jacket.
Let's see it zipped up.
Ooh.
Yeah. This jacket,
this is it. This is it.
I think I got, like, a size bigger. Let me check.
Oh, I got a size medium-large. I love the fit
of it, because it's, like, a little bit oversized, but
I just love when jackets are the perfect
crop length, when they're not too cropped.
She is perfect. Guys, what do you think? I think that
we leveled up our fashion game, okay?
Guys, I forgot to try on this sweater.
This sweater I was looking forward to. This is actually the
first thing I added to my cart, because this sweater,
it gives spring. I love when sweaters
don't have, like, actual real buttons, and it's, like,
one of these, like, ones that you just clip on, because
I cannot. I get frustrated with buttons, guys.
Okay.
Cute. I love this sweater.
Okay, I know I say I love everything,
but it's because I genuinely love everything. I love
the fit of it. It's, like,
snatches you in. I feel like this is a fit that I would
wear to church. And I saw that they had this sweater
in other colors, so I'm gonna go back
and use my own code and get
the sweater in every other color, because when I love
something, I need it in every color. But yeah, that's
everything I got from White Fox, my little
White Fox try-on haul. If you guys wanna get any
of the outfits that I showed you, I do have a
code for you guys. It's AlinaYT.
So you can go ahead and save your coins, save
your money. This is a great start to
reinventing ourselves together. I loved
every single outfit.
Guys, we just finished our hair,
getting our hair done. Mom looks
so cute. Straight hair
back. Hello, vlog.
So my mom and I just finished getting our hair done,
and now we're headed to a
ginseng store. A Korean
ginseng store. So fun fact, I drink
ginseng tea a lot, and I actually
just ran out of ginseng, so we're gonna go grab some.
Let's go!
Guys, here
is the ginseng, the root.
They show from
the baby, all the way
to full-grown.
Another one we have is this one.
Hello, vlog! So my mom
and I are headed to get our hair done.
We're going to that same, like, hair
scalp massage place that I went to in
one of my last vlogs, but this time I'm taking
mama lifts so we can enjoy
it together. And my sister actually got this
for us, so shout out to my sister.
My unni, you're the best. Oh, you brought the gift card?
Oh, yeah. Thank you!
Thank you, unni!
Wow, it feels like
summer!
So before I go to
any of these appointments, I make it a point to
not wash my hair, so this is, like, day
three hair.
So it feels even better.
My mom's like, you shouldn't share that with them.
No, I share everything with you guys.
I'm so excited.
This is about to feel amazing.
How was it? It felt good, Oma?
Yes! I look insane.
Guys, my mom was living her best life.
Guys, look at the hair! Yeah, my scalp
feels amazing.
Hey, vlog! So I'm here with
my brother, Jun, and my
Umma. We are about to
make steak salad!
I posted it on my story, my Instagram
stories, the other day, which, by the way,
if you're not following me on Instagram,
go follow your girl. But yeah, I
posted this story, and it just looked so good.
I actually didn't make it that time, it was
Lindsay. But we're gonna try to make it this time,
and a bunch of you DM'd me and asked
me for the recipe, so
here we are, we're gonna show it to you.
First things first, my brother
is salting the steaks.
You gotta make sure it's a perfect temperature.
Fun fact about Jun, guys,
he is actually really good at cooking.
He's very precise.
He's very precise. No, Jun is
better than me at cooking, to be honest.
That's a pretty low bar.
Okay, you guys know
where your girl started from with cooking.
I will admit, I was really not great.
But I've gotten so much better! But yeah, guys,
this steak salad is so good.
We literally had it two days ago,
and we're making it again.
We got our two steaks cooking.
Guys, fun fact,
Leo's favorite food is steak.
So anytime we cook steak, he's on 100.
Look at him washing the steak.
Okay, so you need Persian cucumbers.
Jun, I'm nervous.
Yeah, so I would cut it like long ways,
and then chop it.
Half long ways, and then chop it.
Guys, Jun is the head chef in the kitchen.
Oh my gosh, you know what I'm thinking about? I'm thinking about Kendall Jenner
with the cucumber. She doesn't know how to cut.
That's me right now, guys.
Alright, guys, I saved a little piece of steak for Leo.
It's his favorite.
Oh my gosh, I want you guys
to look at the sunset right now,
because it looks insane.
Look how gorgeous.
This view honestly never gets old.
I still look at every single sunset,
and I'm like, wow.
Alrighty, you guys, I have my little tea.
We're about to get ready.
Your girl is actually going out tonight.
I haven't decided yet if I want to go out with them,
because low-key, guys, call me grandma.
I don't want to ruin my sleep schedule.
My friend called me auntie the other day,
because I'm so serious about getting my eight hours of sleep every night.
Listen, call me auntie, but I love being home
at a reasonable hour.
I love getting my eight hours.
I love waking up, drinking my matcha,
vibing, working out.
Like, I am in that health and wellness era, guys,
especially because the real ones know how difficult
the last couple months have been for me.
Because of all the stress that I was going through,
guys, my health was so...
It was cooked the last couple months.
In January, I had two periods in one month,
and my period just became regular the end of March.
So I am not trying to mess that up,
and I'm trying to keep my health in check,
because especially after the difficult year that I had,
my health was definitely not my priority.
And when you're stressed out,
it shows in your body.
And I was literally in fight-or-flight mode.
I have a health ring tracking thing.
It said that my stress levels were always so high.
You know, now that everything is calming down,
I finally got my period back to normal,
and I'm feeling better.
By the way, update on my healing journey.
I'm not completely healed yet at all,
but so much better than
the last times you guys saw me
where I was sobbing to you guys.
For the entire month of February,
I was crying every single day.
It's because in February,
I went all in in my healing journey.
And what I mean by that is that
I was doing therapy every single week,
and I was praying every single day.
I still pray every single day.
This past February, by far,
hardest month of my life.
Through therapy, through my relationship with God,
I realized I had so many childhood wounds
from my very traumatic childhood.
Those of you who already know about
my alcoholic dad and that whole situation
and me getting out of a five-year relationship
that was toxic and unhealthy for me.
All of that stuff happened at once,
and it forced me to face myself and look in the mirror
and be like,
okay, girl, you need to stop escaping.
You need to stop avoiding your problems.
You need to sit down, reflect with yourself,
and heal for real.
That is what I did in February.
One of the big things I learned through therapy
and also praying every single day
is that I have wounds from my dad.
Not getting love from my dad
my whole life, and just never having
a good relationship with him.
I learned in therapy that it developed into low self-worth
in me, and low confidence, low self-worth
is something I struggled with my whole life.
I thought that becoming a YouTuber,
living in this nice apartment, achieving all my dreams,
that would help my confidence, and I'd finally
be this confident woman who
knew her worth, but because I never
healed the childhood wounds from my dad,
it just continued up until my adult life,
and in the relationship that I was in through therapy,
I had to learn that I was just repeating
my same childhood wounds that were unhealed
from my dad. It just continued in this
relationship, and that was a huge
wake-up call for me because I was like, whoa.
And for a while in my healing journey
after that relationship and
trying to heal from that trauma bond
and learning to overcome trauma
Hold on, this is my favorite part.
It's so satisfying!
Any of you who have gotten out of an
unhealthy, toxic relationship
and have traumatic experiences
from childhood, you guys probably really relate to
the things that I'm going through. Girl,
it is not easy as an adult to
try to heal. You are literally confronting
things from your past that you had no idea
affected you so much.
In the beginning of my healing journey,
especially after getting out of that relationship,
I was mad, okay? Angry.
Very, very angry. Now that I've
progressed more along my healing journey,
instead of focusing on the person, I just
always look inward now, and instead
of blaming the other person, like, how could
they do this to me being angry at them and focusing on
them, I've turned the finger this way
at myself and asked myself the hard question.
I ended up in this relationship, right,
for five years of my life that was unhealthy
for me, but I still stayed for five years.
And I had to ask myself the deeper rooted question,
not blaming the other person, how could they
do this to me? How could they treat me like this? I had to ask
myself, what wounds in me allowed
me to be treated this way? What
wounds in me are existing where I let
myself stay in this situation
for five years? You know, like, I had to ask
myself those hard questions, and let me tell you guys
it is not easy to ask yourself those hard
questions, but I'm telling you, asking
yourself those questions, self-reflecting, and
pointing the finger to yourself, that is
true growth. That is a true, strong
person that has humility. I remember
that one video that I posted, you know, spilling
the tea. Majority of you guys were so,
so positive in that video, but I got a couple
comments saying, like, oh, I thought you were gonna
spill all the tea about your relationship and
this and that. This was such a clickbait video, this,
this, and that. First of all, I go
through all of my childhood painful
trauma, traumatic memories, and it took
a lot for me to open up about all of that.
The fact that my dad cheated on my mom
this past year, and how that's affected me, like,
I was talking about all that, and that's what they got
from the video. I was like, at first
it pissed me off, I'm not gonna lie. But then I looked
at those comments, and I was like, alright, those are people that I
don't want on my channel anyway. Like, if you were trying
to come on this channel for, like, a gossip situation,
like, me talking down about another person
that's not in my life anymore, that I do not
want in my life anymore, like, if you were trying to come for some, like,
gossiping, like, you're not getting that here.
Because on this channel, in this community, we are here
to uplift each other. We are here to be the best version
of ourselves. We are not here to put other people
down, talk bad about other people, participate
in gossip and drama, like, that is
such negative behavior, and if that's what you're looking
for, babe, go on a celebrity gossip channel,
not over here, okay? And, look, I understand,
like, I have my favorite influencers,
and, you know, if they broke up with their
partner, I was always, like, so curious.
One of the people I think of, actually,
is The Wizard Liz, if you know her, she's, like,
so gorgeous, and she went through a whole, you know,
situation with her partner, and I
was all ears for that. I wanted to know every detail,
so I understand, like, how you guys feel,
and, you know, it did make me a little sad,
like, thinking that you guys are probably wondering,
like, what had happened in my own relationship,
and I never want you guys to feel like
I'm trying to hide things from you, but
for my own healing and peace of mind,
all you need to know is that it was not healthy for me,
and it was toxic,
and it was repeating a lot of the same
childhood patterns from my dad. Now, I only
have time to move forward and heal.
Like, I don't even want to give people from my past
that much relevance in my life.
What I want to focus on sharing with you guys is what I
learned from that experience and that relationship,
and share it with you guys. Like, all the lessons
I learned, I'm not here to put anybody
down. No matter how much pain or hurt I went through,
like, I'm not here to put anybody down. And, yeah,
one thing I regret, which I've commented
before, is that I portrayed that
relationship to you guys, like, it was perfect and
amazing. I really regret that. That's one thing
I really want to apologize to you guys for, because
that was just not the case. That relationship was not healthy,
and I tried to portray to you guys, like,
it was so happy and perfect. But I learned from that
experience, and now, moving forward, I'm not gonna
just show highlights. I'm gonna try to show the realness,
the rawness. I'm in the middle of my healing,
and I'm trying to show that to you guys. But, yeah, all this to say,
if you came out of a unhealthy, toxic
relationship, and you're currently in your healing season
right now, I feel you, I hear you, and
you are not alone. The best thing I ever did was
stop pointing the finger at the other person,
at other people, and point it to myself,
and ask myself the hard questions.
Because there's this quote I heard that, like,
completely changed my mindset, and I said it before, but
I'm gonna say it again. The way someone treats you
is how they see you,
but the way you let someone treat
you is how you see yourself. And so, when
I heard that, I was thinking back to all the people
that have mistreated me, and I'm like, oh.
And so, the relationship I was in, and a lot of
the patterns that I was doing in my adult
life, I realized it went back to that
low self-worth wound from my dad,
and not having a stable father figure,
and having an abusive, alcoholic
father figure. So now, I'm in this
journey, as a grown adult, building my self-worth
from the ground up, rebuilding myself, reinventing
myself. And so, part of the reason why February
was such a difficult month for me,
was because once I figured out that I had this
validation wound, caused by my traumatic childhood,
where I had low self-worth, even as an
adult, girl, as soon as I figured that out, I said,
boom, let's get rid of any sort of validation.
So, the whole month of February, anything that could've
numbed me, or distracted myself, I took
all of it out of my life. So, I barely
hung out with friends, I didn't go out at all.
Every single day, I prayed, I read my Bible,
was in therapy, unfollowed all guys
on my Instagram that were giving me attention
while I was single, because I had told you guys already that
you know, after that breakup,
my self-worth was even lower.
And so, I was like, posting for
attention, you know, on my Instagram
and posting to get validation
from these guys, because I had such low
self-worth. And so, those guys that were giving me
attention, I said, bye. I unfollowed
them, made them unfollow me. I also archived
a bunch of my Instagram photos where I was like,
showing body-ody-ody. I also didn't really
post much in the month of February, because I
realized a lot of my validation was tied to
the numbers. Like, a video doing well,
or getting a certain amount of views, and stuff like that.
So, I just wanted to get out of that. All the distractions,
all the numbing, I wanted to get it out
of my life, and I stripped myself. February
was really my month of stripping myself,
and when I did that, guys, I felt
like, you know Mr. Krabs from Spongebob?
You know when he's out of his shell? There's like that one
episode where he's out of his shell. That's how I felt.
I literally, every single day I woke
up, I felt like raw. Like, literally
like a raw chicken. I don't even know. And
I was in so much pain, you guys, in
February, because anything that could numb
my pain, I got rid of it. And so, I
let myself feel the pain every
single day. And I was just focused
on healing every single day. Honestly, it was
one of the most painful experiences of my
life, to this day. But,
that was the best decision I ever made, because
now, I have come out of that, and I
feel like a new person. I literally
feel like God made me new, and I'm not perfect,
but a lot of these things I was tying my
validation to, it does not serve me anymore,
and it's so clear. And that's all part of like reinventing
myself. I was like, I don't want
these things. You know, followers, likes,
getting attention from guys, having a nice body,
like all this stuff that was filling my
childhood wound of validation, and giving me
fake self-worth. I didn't want any parts
to do with it, and ever since stripping myself
of that, now I am like rebuilding
myself, rebuilding my identity, and it
has been the most amazing experience
ever. And don't get me wrong, like there are so many
days where it's still so difficult, like I'm still
very much in my healing journey, where I still
get the days where I don't feel great. But,
I'm so grateful I did that
in February, because now I could really just focus on
moving forward in healing. And so yeah, I feel like
I rambled so much. And if you actually watched through that,
comment down below this emoji, so I know you're a real one
and actually watched through that whole thing. I feel
like I talked so much. Yeah, I just wanted to give you
guys an update of how my healing journey is going,
and also explain, I'm not trying to hide my life
from you guys. If anything, I'm really trying to do the opposite
and be like raw and vulnerable and real. But I did
want to address those comments like, you know,
feeling like I wasn't addressing that relationship
enough. And I hope you guys understand that it's because
I'm focused on healing from it. I don't want
to open that chapter of my life. Like, that is
in the past, and I only have time to look
up and move forward. Like, I don't have time
to give any of that energy. I hope you guys feel
inspired to also reinvent, rebuild
yourself, especially if you're like in the middle
of your healing season. Whether it's
from like a relationship, a family member,
a friendship.
Okay, what do we think of the
makeup?
Tea. So I'm actually getting drinks with my friend,
mocktails, because I actually don't drink.
And then I'm going to meet some of my friends
after that. So thank you guys for
getting ready with me and chit-chatting with me.
All right.
