Maine girls trip a wholesome weekend on the coast

Hi guys, good morning. Welcome back to my channel or welcome if you're new here. I'm Blake. I'm driving up to Maine right now for the weekend for a little girl's trip. Today's Thursday. Beau's here as well. He's seat belted back there, so you might not be able to see him because it prevents him from running around and moving around back there. So typically he'd be like face right here if he could be, but he's like stuck sitting slash lying back there. My friend Claudia is coming and she has a golden retriever, Ralph. I think he is six months old. So a bit younger than Beau, but I'm so excited for them to play. They've never met before. This is a really good vanilla latte. I panic ordered this morning and like wanted a fun latte. And then I just like got flustered and was like, vanilla, please. Could have made this at home if I was gonna get something so simple, but there was just all the flavors sounded really good. So I couldn't decide. And this is always a safe option. We're going to Camden, Maine, which I've never been to before. It's just like a little more North than I've ever been. Like, I feel like Portland is typically as North as I go. We did go to Booth Bay Harbor last fall. That was the farthest I've ever been up in Maine. I do want to go to Acadia though. So I feel like I need to plan more trips to Maine. So we're going to Camden and we have a really cute house for the weekend. I'm very excited. I feel like a wholesome girls weekend in Maine is like exactly what I want, especially cause John is traveling for work right now. So I would just be home alone with Bo. So I'm excited to be able to go do something fun with the girls and with Bo. We're meeting in Portland. I think it's a coffee shop called Moonday. We're just bringing up the drive a little and meeting to grab coffee and then probably grab lunch. I think we're meeting at like 1130 noon to grab coffee. So that's why I got one right now because I just didn't want to wait that long. So maybe I'll get a second one or a matcha or something. I brought this cuticle oil with me. It's from L'Occitane. I'm really trying to get better about putting cuticle oil on my cuticles, obviously, because they're always so like dry and disgusting looking. And last night I got a manicure and my nail tech was like, you need to use cuticle oil. I'm like, okay, now I'm going to do it cause I'm mortified that you just called me out for it. And she's right, you know, she was right because I don't take care of my cuticles. And I have a couple of these, like they're so easy to bring with you. They have a little brush. That's my goal to be more consistent with this. Okay, so it's a little further than I thought. So I am going to be a tad late, 10 minutes late, not bad. I do have to stop to get gas though, so. Let's go. Change of plans. We decided that we're all hungry. So we're going to meet at Eventide for lunch. It's noon right now. I feel like Beau is going to be absolutely crazy. I can just hear the excitement in him right now as he's panting so loud, ready to get out of the car. But he's been cooped up for a few hours in here and he's meeting Ralph for the first time. So whenever I want to keep him a little calm and occupy him for a while, I use this. This is like so disgusting. I need to put it in the dishwasher. I use this Popsicle holder. It's the brand Woof, I think. And you can buy these little like peanut butter balls to go in it. And this will take him like 30 minutes. So we're bringing that as reinforcement. Ralph, hi. He's only paying attention because I have this. We all got lobster rolls. Ralph is really wishing he was included in this. Beau is tied up over there with a treat because he isn't behaving very well today. We just got lattes at Moonday and then came into this really cute little store. Come here. Careful, you bumped your head. It's so cute in here. He said, where's my mom going? Go ahead. He wants to go find his room. Go find your room. Where are you going? We're going to dinner. I'm wearing this dress that I just got from Loft. And then this is from the wedding we went to last weekend. They like had a basket of these because it was cold. I'm going to wear this all the time. This is like so perfect to throw on. I'll probably like tie in the front. And then my favorite J.Crew bag that I just got. And the dogs are barking. So we're going to go. Cute sweater. So we are walking to dinner. Good morning, Ralph. Beau's eating breakfast right now and Ralph is distraught trying to find him. You look just like Beau when he was little. Just a little lighter. Morning. We're going to go on a walk to get some coffee right now. I think it's going to rain tomorrow. So we're going to try to take advantage of the fact that it's not raining right now, even though it is kind of chilly. Am I being a fraud for wearing a Cape Cod crew neck? Maybe. I didn't have a Maine crew neck. This is the only sweatshirt I could find when I was packing and I love this thing and it's really comfy. So let's go. I haven't showed you all of this house, but there's so many cute little rooms. Little reading area over here with a desk. This is like the formal living room. The dogs keep messing up the rug. With a fireplace. Here's the kitchen. I got this toy for the dogs to play with together. They don't really understand how to play at the same time though. They just want to steal it from each other. What do you smell? Oh my. I'm wearing these Reeboks. I love these to walk in. I have them in a couple of colors. Puppy love. I need to get Beau a sibling. Oh my goodness. He's such a little teddy bear. Whoa, you just got my lip gloss on your forehead. You look so delicious. Hi. We got some matches, but they are really looking like 90% milk. Wait. Stop. Beau and Ralph have been playing all day long. He is so tired. We're all wearing these matching sets from Ciavi. They're definitely tall girl friendly because the pants are so long, but they're very, very comfy. I'm like crawling into your skin right now. I actually couldn't be closer to you. We're going on a bike ride dressed like this. We love riding bikes. We're all- On our tricycles. People are going to be like, is this a bachelorette party? These are so cute. They smell amazing. We just went into the cutest bookstore. If you're in this area, you have to come here because the owners are the sweetest people we have ever met. We're going to pick up dinner. Thai food. We got Thai food from Long Grain. An insane order. I can't wait to show you. Can't wait to eat it. We're having a cozy night in and we're going to watch TV and relax. We're watching Off Campus. The girls have not watched it. All three of them. There's only one of us who's watched Off Campus. I'm the only one talking about Garrett Graham and I cannot go another day without the girls knowing. Relating. Yeah, so we have pad thai. We have pad thai. I have no idea what else we got. Some sort of trout fried rice. Don't look at me for confirmation. I have literally no idea what we got. We didn't bring the dogs, and now we're wishing we did, because there's so many of them here. These baskets are so gorgeous. Hi. Hello. I love this one. We're going to Astor and Rose for dinner. Looks like an old house. It's so beautiful. Today's Sunday. I think we're gonna go to a bakery right now to get some stuff for breakfast, and I also really would love to get a coffee. It's like 40-something degrees right now. It's very cold, and it's the last day of May, so I cannot believe it's this chilly. Hi, honey. I just gave Beau his breakfast in our room, which is why he is not down here, but they're finally best friends. It took them a day to really get the hang of each other. Beau has never really played with a puppy for more than a minute, so Beau is parenting, seeing when Beau was younger, and the older dogs would correct him and teach him how to behave as a puppy. Oh, what do you have? I just could never picture Beau being on the opposite end of that, but Beau is being the adult dog, teaching Ralph how to behave when they play, which is so weird to see, because in my mind, Beau is still a baby. Ralph loves all of Beau's toys. Come here. Oh. What is that? Ralph is also tiny for his age. He's six months, and he's like 35 pounds, I think she said. Beau was definitely bigger than this. So he's just like, he feels just like a little peanut I can pick up and snuggle. I'm obsessed. You're so cute. It makes me want to get Beau a little sibling, because he's been having so much fun with Ralph. He's just a baby bear. Oh my goodness. I just wish I could go back in time, like snuggle Beau this size for just a minute. It's so fun watching them grow up, but also like so bittersweet to look back at pictures. I'm like, I feel like Beau was this big yesterday, and now he is just fully grown and enormous. Anyway, dinner last night was absolutely incredible. Aster and Rose in, I think it was in a town called Lincolnville. So good. And I also just love a restaurant that's in an old house. Like that will do it for me every single time. The charm, the ambiance, just like how cozy everything felt. We fully stayed until they closed and it was fabulous. And then we came back here and went to bed. We've been having very chill early nights, which is great because you guys know that that's exactly what I prefer. And the whole group is like that, which is so fun. So we're all just having a very relaxing time. We were thinking of biking to the bakery, but I guess it's like uphill a lot of the time. So we don't want to do that. So we're going to drive. I'm wearing a Canadian tuxedo today. My favorite jeans ever from Buck Mason. I bought these on our road trip when we were in Charleston. January was that? I have not worn a single other pair of jeans since. Like I need to just get rid of and donate every single pair that's in my closet because I wear these like three times a week. I'm absolutely obsessed with them. They're so comfy and just flattering. And even when they get baggy from wearing them, they still look really good. I love them. And then this denim jacket is from Farm Rio. It's cool. There's a belt that comes with it and you can cinch it. But I took the belt out for now because I just kind of like the baggier look. I've been driving for quite a while, so I just stopped to get a latte. I got a black sesame latte, which I've never had before, but it's very good. And also a breakfast sandwich because I am starving. I am so ready to be home. I feel like I've been driving for forever. I had to leave a little bit earlier than the rest of the girls because I have to get back home, drop off Bo, and then head into Boston because we have two wedding planning meetings today that I'll film a little bit at. I think it'll be fun to go to. They are like linens and rental meetings where we're gonna actually look at place settings and stuff like that in person, which I think will be so fun and make everything that we've been chatting about with our planners design-wise, it'll make it all start to feel real. And I can't wait. I am just so tired right now, though. I need this coffee to wake up. I need a bite to eat to feel like a human again. I don't know why I'm so tired. I think I just went to bed kind of late. I just was up for sure, probably scrolling, and got up at six to just tidy up the house a little bit before I had to leave and pack up my stuff. And now we're almost home. I am so ready to be back home. It was so much fun this weekend. I truly, my heart feels so full after spending a few days with the girls, but I always love going home, too, and I miss John, and Bo is gonna be so excited to see John, too. He got back from a work trip that he was on yesterday, so I'm excited to see him. I'm gonna eat this, and then get back on the road. Okay, I just very quickly showered, changed, and did some light makeup, and we're ready to go. How cute is this fish sweater? Also, this is the exact same as that green one that I've been wearing a lot. It just got delivered later. I got home to it sitting at the door, so I've been waiting for it, and I'm very excited it arrived. I think John is just finishing up a quick work call, and then we're gonna head out. I love this Necessaire lip balm. It's just clear. There's no color or anything, and it's mint-scented. It's so good if you are looking for just a plain lip balm, and there's a metal applicator, so it just feels so nice going on. I love all their products, but this has been my favorite, my favorite one of their products lately. Okay, I'm excited. We're going to Peak. They have a showroom in South Boston, and then where else are we going? We have another meeting after. I can't remember, but it's another rentals company. I think the second one is specifically linens, and the first one is linens, and also plates and silverware and all that kind of stuff. Yeah, those are really pretty.
