Rent control question disqualified due to religious exemption

Massachusetts voters will not be able to vote on repealing the state's rent control ban this November. Despite gathering over 157,000 signatures, the state's Supreme Judicial Court blocked the measure because its religious exemptions violated the constitutional ban on religion-related ballot questions.
