Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe video criticizes The Daily Wire's new film, \"Run, Hide, Fight: Infidels,\" labeling it as Islamophobic and a desperate attempt to regain a dwindling audience. The speaker discusses the company's financial struggles, the controversial casting of Jonathan Majors, and Ben Shapiro's rigid political stances and public comments regarding Candace Owens.
We have a terror warning in
Northern Virginia.
Radical Islam has designs openly
on the West.
The FBI reported a terror plot on
New Year's Eve.
Violence attack over the Halloween
weekend in Michigan.
Protests on college campuses
showing no signs of stopping.
Coming soon or already here.
Well, in an attempt to somehow help
their dwindling audience,
The Daily Wire is now coming out
with yet another feature length
film and it is called Run, Hide,
Fight Infidels.
Starring Jonathan Majors like he
needs any more bad press.
So if you're curious,
the film is actually a standalone
sequel of the 2020 film Run,
Hide, Fight, which follows
a teenager going up against
a group of gunmen who take over
her high school.
And if you are curious,
the original film was directed by
a man named Kyle Rankin and
The Daily Wire acquired the North
American rights to the film in
2021.
And as we said,
this is a standalone sequel made
under The Daily Wire.
So you know it's going to be very
right wing and in this case,
it's going to be very,
very Islamophobic.
There's an Allahu Akbar in
the trailer and it's very scary.
It's very ominous.
And according to the description
of the film's trailer on YouTube,
when radical Islamic terrorists
hijack a liberal college's pro
Palestine encampment to enforce
barbaric sharia law on students
and execute infidels in
the makeshift caliphate.
My God, there's so
many buzzwords in here.
A ragtag band of red blooded
students, a security guard tired of
Uncle Tom smears, and
a Delta Force vet must arm up to
save their clueless peers,
these clueless pro-Palestine peers,
and keep America from surrendering
to the enemy on its own soil.
My God, that was exhausting just
to read The Daily Wire.
A school janitor-
He's tired, he's tired of
the Uncle Tom allegation.
He's a Republican,
he's a school janitor.
He's a black Republican in
the school.
He always trying to tell-
You already know, you already know.
Always telling kids to pull
their pants up.
I'm going to let you finish though.
He's just a conservative.
He just has conservative values,
okay?
He shouldn't be called Uncle Tom.
What a slur, right?
Yeah, exactly.
So The Daily Wire has already been
hemorrhaging paid subscribers.
I think Anna was covering that
earlier this week on the show for
Shapiro's staunch pro-Israel views,
right?
That's just not a popular stance
right now.
But as we also told you earlier
this week, the capital firm,
The Daily Wire, has been
collaborating with Highmount,
ascribes some of the company's
recent struggles to an epic
medieval scripted series,
The Pendragon Cycle, that quote,
did not fully resonate with
the core Daily Wire audience, and
consumed the majority of the 2025
content budget, leaving fewer
resources for new programming that
could drive subscriber acquisition
and marketing.
The Daily Wire spent $50 million
on the effort, the memo said.
$50 million?
What is that from?
What is that?
I'm doing Chris Tucker in
Rush Hour.
$50 million,
who do you think you got,
Chelsea Clinton?
That's, at the time,
The Pendragon Cycle was seen as
an imitation of Game of Thrones,
which is exactly what it sounds
like.
And as you might have been able to
guess, The Infidels is being widely
seen as a ripoff to classics like
Red Dawn and also Toy Soldiers.
And this film may not have been
the right move for
their return to entertainment,
especially since the film is
already riddled with controversies.
Who could have seen that coming?
So, the film budgeted at $5 million,
according to page six,
marks Major's return to the screen
after a domestic violence incident
swiftly led to his ouster from
Hollywood.
And he was unceremoniously dropped
from multiple major projects,
just as his profile was hitting
a new peak.
And additionally, the production
slated for a fall release on
Daily Wire Plus,
courted some headline-grabbing
controversy when members of
the crew went on strike over safety
conditions on the South Carolina
set.
The walkout began in April after
Majors and co-star JC Kilcoyne
accidentally fell through a window
while filming.
There was defenestration on this
film set, though it was tied to
several other alleged incidents on
set.
Crew members also said communication
between the director and crew was
nearly non-existent,
according to Deadline.
Producer Dallas Sonier, at the time,
called the strike illegitimate and
noted that he does not negotiate
with communists.
My God, they're off to a great
start with this entire production.
So, there was a strike and
he was like, they're communists,
just so typical.
So, we're going to take a look at
Ben Shapiro a little bit more
specifically now.
Because despite the rightfully
deserved criticism Ben Shapiro has
been receiving, he is still
attempting to be a strong man.
And he is sticking to his guns.
Vanity Fair recently published
an interview that they did with
Ben Shapiro.
So, when I asked Ben Shapiro if he
regrets anything from the last ten
years, the first thing he says is,
we never should have hired
Candace Owens.
My God.
Yeah, that was so catty.
That happened to that network.
That was so catty and
sassy of him to say.
The one thing that he regrets is
ever hiring her, not firing me.
It was just so, I'm just,
it's just again,
these people who are supposed to be
so masculine, that was such
a girly thing to say.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, it's, that's just hilarious.
It feels like Mariah Carey shading
JLo, and I love Mariah Carey.
I also kind of love JLo,
which I don't know how I feel about
admitting that out loud, but
you know, anyway.
So, Ben Shapiro is going on,
he's like, that's the only thing I
regret is hiring Candace Owen.
And he really feels, apparently,
he has done nothing wrong ever.
And he was telling Vanity Fair,
specifically in regards to Israel,
he said, I've made many critiques
of Israel, usually from the right.
Most of my critiques are the
opposite of everyone else's
critiques.
I think Israel should have gone
harder and faster in Gaza,
for example.
That is what we're dealing with.
Again, as Anna did do a story
earlier this week, and
she went through their numbers, and
they are hemorrhaging paid
subscribers.
They still have a lot, but
they're losing them.
And his views are also down.
They're doing a lot of things to
try to goose the views a little
bit, so it looks like they're
a little bit more popular than
they actually are.
And he has been called out for
these things, for
these tactics that he's doing.
And a lot of channels do things
like that, right, on the left and
on the right.
But it's just disingenuous to
pretend that you're more popular
than you actually are.
But then it's also like he is
the reason why The Daily Wire is
not as popular as it used to be,
because he has this very,
very strong stance that he will not
let go of.
He is doubling down on it.
That quote that he gave to
Vanity Fair is horrific.
It's terrible.
It's unbelievable, almost.
Even in today's climate,
it is unbelievable what he just
said.
I don't even really know why
Vanity Fair is doing a profile on
him, but also this movie that
they're doing, it's so stupid.
My God, even as a brown person who
is technically still a Muslim,
even though I'm not practicing or
anything like that.
It's just so stupid that who
is this for?
I kind of have to laugh at it
because it's like, no,
they said Allahu Akbar.
And the trailer, the description
of the movie, it's all so stupid.
The caliphate is there,
they're going to do Sharia law,
pro-Palestine.
All the words that they could just
throw in there,
all the scary sounding words.
And they're like,
here people have this,
be terrified.
Isn't that fun for you?
Isn't that the movie you want to
watch with Jonathan Majors as
a star?
I don't know, what do you think?
I mean, what a fall from grace.
But the thing is, I guess he is
a very good actor, he's talented,
but I guess he doesn't really have
much else going on outside of that.
Because the truth is,
he never necessarily would have
risen to the same heights that he
was at, but if he would have done
something more independently,
and had maybe something interesting
to say, he definitely could have
done better than this.
You know what I mean?
I mean, he just could have,
because he was in some really high
caliber stuff.
And at the end of the day,
people forget and move on from
stuff.
So he could have done better
than this, I have to say that,
I mean, Jesus Christ.
But also, how revealing is it?
Ben Shapiro, his outlet was making
millions of dollars, and
it's not like they were struggling
to pay bills, but he can't pivot.
He can't shift or at least take
a back seat when you see what
the damage, even your own people
don't want to hear this.
It's not like he's making a stand
for peace or
to come across the aisle.
It's just like, no,
we should have bombed,
killed more people.
That's the hill you want to die on.
I guess it is, but also,
I cannot stop giggling in my head
about the fact that she said,
you've been doing this for years.
Is there anything that you would
have done differently?
And his grand insight is,
we shouldn't have hired
Candace Owens.
That is such a salty ex-girlfriend
thing to say.
It's also stupid because isn't
Candace is probably way more
popular now than she's ever been.
Yeah.
Who is he trying to win over
with this?
That's crazy.
Narcissism, he can't see outside
himself.
I mean, we all have narcissistic
traits here and there, but
some people really got them.
And apparently Ben Shapiro really
got them because, again, I'm 34,
I'm younger than him.
But if someone was to ask me,
my grand insight wouldn't be,
I don't like her, I don't like him.
It's just very revealing of what's
not really going on in here.
How did you grow?
What did you learn?
Exactly.
Yeah, he's taking no
responsibility for himself.
He's saying the only thing that I
did wrong was hiring someone else
and letting someone else be part of
my network because that other
person is the one who tanked
my network.
