Video Summary
AI GeneratedVantara is a massive 3,000-acre sanctuary in India dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation of over 150,000 animals. The facility focuses on providing naturalistic habitats for species rescued from illegal trade and trophy hunting, while operating critical breeding programs to prevent the extinction of endangered species.
Today I'm at Vantara, one of the most insane animal conservation projects in the world.
This place spans over 3,000 acres and is home to more than 2,000 species and over 150,000
rescued animals.
Built by a billionaire with a mission rooted in conservation, this private sanctuary is
dedicated entirely to rescue, rehabilitation, and giving animals a second chance, which
I can promise you you're going to see all that in this series.
With a massive team of veterinarians, specialists, and animal care staff working around the clock
every part of Vantara is designed with one goal in mind, and that's the well-being of
these animals.
The scale here is just unreal, and what stands out most is the detail.
Every enclosure, every treatment, every decision is built to restore health, protect endangered
species, and create a true safe haven for wildlife.
Well, and today, you and I, we're actually going to be able to get a behind-the-scenes
look on all of this.
This right here is one of the most exclusive wildlife experiences on the entire planet,
and you are riding shotgun.
Come here, dude.
Come on.
Ever been that close to a tiger before?
Oh, that is so sick, dude.
Wow.
What's up, bro?
Come on.
Wow.
What is going on, Cripples?
Welcome back to another video.
We are back with another one.
Here behind me is 50 acres, and they call it the Savannah Plains.
That's because, well, there's over 15 different hoofstock back there, all mostly African species,
and we are going to be seeing all of them right here, firsthand.
And then on top of that, we're probably going to see some big cats.
They're going to be jumping on us and stuff.
It's going to be crazy.
What a sound that is.
It's going to be crazy.
The gate is now opening.
We are entering 50 acres of just open land with a bunch of different hoofstock, or herbivores,
what I should say.
They're not going to eat each other, put it that way.
Oh, there's one right here.
Hello there, buddy.
Look at this.
Oh, he is right there, huh?
That is sick.
He's got nice horns.
This is quite literally exactly what I just told you.
It is just 50 acres, wide open land, and a ton of different animals.
Some of the things today that we're going to see are giraffes.
We're going to see some zebras, some wildebeest, some giant eland.
I've never heard that before, eland.
Never even seen that, but you're seeing it actually right now.
It's the biggest antelope in the entire world.
And we're going to see a heck of a lot more.
So, I don't know what the heck is that.
Is that a gazelle?
I don't know what this is.
Come on, Kyle.
You got it.
Don't ask Sam.
Sam knows.
Sam, over there.
Sam, you know it, right?
He's smiling.
Is that a...
It's the other beast, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, you got it.
Okay.
It's not a wildebeest.
It's the other one.
It's the other beast.
Yeah, yeah.
What's the other beast?
It's Mr. Beast.
There it is.
Mr. Beast.
So, that's an addix right there.
That's an addix?
That's an addix.
Addix.
They're known to be very, very cheeky.
And, like, if you kind of face up to them, they'll definitely try to, like, square up
on you.
This is a bunch of them right here.
See, they're squaring up right now.
And over here as well, too.
Oh, beef.
Yeah.
They're beefing over here to the right.
And here to the left, there's a whole squad of them.
Like, a legitimate whole squad of them.
Yep.
Look at them.
Most of the time, they're just hanging out.
You know, it's hot during the middle of the day, so they like to just kind of...
And they have these giant, like, these giant covers right here.
Giant covers to provide shade.
Now, it's a bunch of open grassland, but...
Look at this guy.
They're crossing the road.
Beep, beep.
Coming through.
They're coming through.
But look at this.
Giant cover, a bunch of animals.
Is it really giraffes?
Oh, my gosh.
Just giraffes.
Yep.
Yes.
So, a lot of the animals in here have been rescued from trophy hunting situations.
And so, you'll see...
We'll see a few of very strange morphs of herbivores that you've probably never heard
or seen before.
Oh, wow.
Yeah.
So, a lot of times, people have properties.
Hundreds, if not thousands of acres.
And, essentially, what they do is they get a bunch of these exotic animals, and they
stock them on that land, and then you can go pay to hunt.
In this case, these are rescued animals from those properties.
So, they're now living out their lives in this giant, open 50-acre pasture that is,
obviously, has a bunch of mixtures of animals, which, right here in front of us, is some
giraffes.
Look at these guys.
This is giraffes right here.
Oh, it's sick.
That's so cool to be like...
Dude, we're just walking right up to them.
It's awesome.
Some of these wildebeest here.
There's a brownish one.
There's also a white one.
I've watched videos on Nat Geo of those things getting chased down by lions.
Definitely.
But, you've never seen one like that.
So, that's a good example of the trophy hunting morph ones that Ventara came to rescue.
And so, there's a handful of them around.
There's three or four different species.
There's a zebra in the distance.
Dude, there's just a bunch of animals.
Bang!
Splattered.
Oh, he's pulling up.
He wants Ella's striped suit.
Oh, my gosh.
Just be a little bit careful around the giraffes.
You don't have to freak out or anything.
She comes to me.
Be a little bit careful.
Can't they kick like a camel?
Maybe 60?
It's bad.
So, mostly, if you're underneath the front of it, just watch its feet and no sudden movement
when it's kind of in front of you.
He came right up to us, though.
So, they're super friendly.
He's wanting some food right now.
Unfortunately, we don't have anything for him at the moment.
Sorry, bud.
Yeah, just be careful.
Mostly, when it's right in front of you.
So, if I was five feet in front, he would just go wham.
Just kick.
Just that.
Just a bang.
Exactly.
Look at him.
He's chilling.
It's bad, bad.
A lot of people think giraffes are super friendly, which they definitely are, but they can be
very dangerous as well.
He's coming up behind us now.
Yo, what up?
How you doing?
Look it.
They're literally around our cart.
Hey, I'm trying to get back into there.
Look at that.
It's such a cool animal.
Oh, he's pissed.
See?
Look how he's pissed.
Oh, yeah.
Here he comes.
He's running with us.
Oh, that is so cool.
I've never seen a giraffe run before.
Whoa, dude.
He's quick.
He's actually so fast.
Dude, that's crazy.
Oh, my gosh.
She is coming in hot.
Look at her go.
So, a lot of the giraffes here were actually rescued from a zoo, an overcrowding situation
from a zoo.
You know, sometimes zoos just, you know, can't afford or don't have the upkeep.
There's so many, you know, resources that they don't have.
Look at this chunky zebra.
That is a chunky zebra.
That is a tank of a zebra.
Absolutely.
That's awesome.
Just open the hood.
Oh, okay.
She'll devour the whole trail.
That is so cool.
Wow.
Hey.
Hey, over here.
Her name is Hay.
Here you go, Hay.
Oh, you are gorgeous.
Good spot.
You like that?
That tastes good, huh?
What is that, potato?
Sweet potato.
Sweet potato?
Even better.
Sweet potato and carrot cut.
Oh, you are pretty, girl.
Hi.
This is just a treat?
Yeah.
Just a treat.
That's why she's chasing us.
She's like, I'm getting that treat tray.
So, to prevent any fighting, they have all female giraffes on the property.
On this premises, she's all females.
So, is there any males at all?
Yes.
They're just separated.
Completely separated.
Look at the little Hay right here, the one we just fed.
She's just kind of, she's blocking the road because we didn't.
Oh, she's coming over to say hi.
Oh, hi.
We only have two.
Those are the only two trays.
No more.
I'm sorry.
Enough treats for you?
That's it.
She's like, I'm not going to move until I get more carrots.
These are the Arabian oryx here.
And these animals were actually extinct in the wild at some point.
And thanks to facilities such as Ventara, they're helping.
Bring these guys back.
Yeah.
I don't want to say directly, but they're helping, you know.
The population.
So, those guys are part of the future captive breeding program.
At some point, that's reintroduction into the wild, right?
To keep the population?
Yes.
Yeah, because they're very highly endangered.
Or at least were at one point.
So, there's two wildebeest right here.
You can see the blue, which is the dark one.
And then there's the king, which is that brown one.
Two really, really cool, cool wildebeest.
Yeah, the king is beautiful.
That brown.
They're kind of flirting with each other over there.
We're just cruising through, guys.
We're on a little stroll.
We're on a stroll.
There's so many zebras.
Look at all these zebras.
So, this is just a common elan?
I've never even seen one of those before.
That is a common elan right there.
Just walking away.
Back to the hut.
Back to the shade.
It's cool how they all co-mingle, though.
So, that right there.
That's the royal.
That's the one we were looking.
He's got, like, light eyes, too.
That's gorgeous.
The royal wildebeest.
People would pay big money for that thing.
Yeah, people would hunt.
In the trophy hunting world.
Trophy hunting world?
That's a prize catch.
And so, now he just gets to hang out here and eat grass all day.
And live life.
That's right.
Look at these guys.
All going to town.
Eating away.
Hey, you guys are kind of hard to see behind the gate.
We just pulled up to another spot.
This casserole is right here.
Blake's actually got these.
Except for, I feel like these have way more.
Well, you know what?
They're probably more matured.
Look at the colors, dude.
Look at the colors on his head.
He's got orange on the back.
Y'all have seen me literally howl the quail up in the air.
And they jump up and grab it.
Oh, yeah.
Look at the colors on the back of his head.
That's unreal.
Oh, yeah.
I love how the enclosures.
I look at stuff like this.
It's just like faded into the trees.
There's a cage there.
But it's just super natural in there.
Just nice and shaded.
I'm approaching an animal.
And I don't know what it is.
It's albino.
Hello, buddy.
Cotamundi.
I didn't know what it was.
An albino cotamundi.
What?
And right here is the kingdom of primates.
As you can tell.
Primates are one of the most smuggled species in the entire world.
Right?
Monkeys getting captured.
Yeah, the pet trade is unreal with primates.
And oftentimes, the phone rings from the Indian government.
And they end up calling Vantara to take these animals in because they get smuggled.
And then they get captured through that smuggling process at the airports or whatever it may be.
And they need somewhere to go.
So, this is a perfect spot for a lot of those animals that do get caught in between that to be brought here.
And then live a happy life for the rest of their life on property.
What is that?
This is a red-black bearded sake.
Never seen one in my life.
Look at him.
He's itching his belly.
Whoa.
Yeah.
He's jumping.
There's a guy right here.
Oh.
Oh, my God.
There's a baby on his back.
Oh, my God.
Oh, that is the cutest thing ever.
Oh, my God.
Hi.
Look at the baby on his back.
Hi, little baby.
There's another baby on that one's back.
Yo.
What is going on?
So, there is a bunch of enclosures just like the ones we see here.
They're actually really cool looking.
They got a beard.
He's got a full beard.
This isn't meant for show.
So, a lot of the enclosures, I'm just going to give you a perspective.
Compared to the PC farm, like, we build out enclosures to where people can visit and see everything, right?
These enclosures are just completely covered, as you can see, to make it as natural as it possibly could be for the animal, right?
So, as you can see, this isn't meant for show, really.
It's just meant for the animal to feel at home.
I've got to show you guys one of these species, the squirrel monkey.
This is actually one of the monkeys that I want to rescue next.
I want to find.
I do.
This is one of the ones.
It is the most awesome thing.
They need a lot of time, of course, and they need to travel in packs.
There does need to be way more than just one.
That's for sure.
So, two, three, four.
Whatever it is.
Maybe we could start with a marmoset.
No.
Why not?
Squirrel monkey, Ty.
Squirrel monkey would be sick.
But a marmoset, you could have solo.
But look at this.
He is sick.
Look at them.
They are so cool.
This is an insane enclosure.
It is completely.
Let's see if we can step through here.
It's all metal cages.
Look at this.
Look at that.
I mean, that's insane.
Massive.
Insanity.
A bunch of squirrel monkeys running around.
Again, super common in the pet trade.
So, there's hundreds in here.
And there's just a massive enclosure.
That way, they all could just roam free.
And I'm sure they get calls all the time to get these ones in.
Probably end up getting the quarantine first.
Then I put in here.
And then, boom.
They live a happy life.
Which these guys are obviously chilling.
They're so cute.
Hi, guys.
What's up?
You got a whole enclosure.
You just come to say what's up to us?
Another super common thing, too, is people want this exotic pet.
They want a monkey.
They're going to go get a monkey.
And then, as that monkey gets older, it's going to become aggressive.
Or they won't have the time that they need to spend with that monkey.
Or it doesn't have a partner.
And there needs to be two or more.
So, oftentimes, that's another case scenario why monkeys end up here.
Is because people get them.
Don't understand what it takes to have a monkey.
And they need to rehome them.
Yo, we got to look at this guy.
Look how cool he is.
Like such a little cute monkey.
Aww.
He looks like a cute monkey.
Nobody, please don't leave us.
Oh, dude, nice hairdo.
I know.
I like his hairdo.
The red howler monkey has now made his way onto the fence.
What a cool monkey.
Is he about to spit on us?
He looks like he's hocking up.
Oh, yeah.
Watch out.
He's going to pee on you.
Dude, look at these enclosures.
Oh, my gosh.
Don't run from me.
Here he goes.
He's running.
What up, homie?
You've got quite the pad, bro.
I'm jealous.
All right, folks.
The group is pulling up to a big chimp.
Wow.
Holy cow.
Holy smokes.
You thought the other enclosures were cool.
This is massive.
Hear the chimps?
Hear the chimps in the distance.
We'll see those in a second.
Fired up.
They're getting fired up.
We're here at the orangutans right now.
And they've got a couple of them kind of walking around.
They're really cool.
They have a staircase here.
Great enrichment.
Actually, a lot of exercise.
They can go up and down.
But, look, he's throwing an apple.
He threw an apple.
And there they go.
There they go.
He's zooming.
Who's going to get it?
That's awesome.
We're going to make our way that way too, right?
Oh, I love this place so much.
I'm in heaven.
I love it.
Can I stay here?
I'll start working.
Look how they're just chilling looking at us because we pulled up.
They're like, who are these people?
I love all these digital signs here.
So the chimpanzees, it literally says everything.
30 to 58 kilograms.
We have the diet omnivore.
Lifespan, 30 to 45 years.
Just so cool to see all of this like right on a screen when you walk up to the enclosure.
Budget-wise, at the house, that's rough.
But we could do printed, not digital.
Whoa, meerkat right here.
He's right here.
He's sitting right there.
I got a family up at the top.
See the family with the babies at the top of the rock?
Oh, my God.
They're so cute up there.
They're just chilling like this.
That's so funny.
Look at them.
Hi, buddy.
Look at that enclosure all just for them.
That is so natural and amazing.
Look at them up there just sitting.
Hey, what up?
There's just so many enclosures.
Like we're just driving by an enclosure over here getting built.
Doors, like who knows what's back there.
Entry to another enclosure.
Look at them.
Babies.
Put it this way.
You're watching me in my natural habitat.
About as close to heaven as I possibly can while being alive.
This is insane.
Look at these enclosures.
Oh, my gosh.
They're just everywhere.
Look at that pathway.
What?
Whoa.
Look at that.
This is going to be an entire room full of like creepy crawlies, amphibians, all kinds of like really cool things.
Entrance.
Well, you guys got a quick glimpse at the front of it because, my goodness, is that cool.
We'll have to come back to India and see the inside of that.
All for the creepy crawlies, like the whole reptile, what, like insect world.
Insects.
There's going to be like a lot of reptiles.
That is crazy entrance.
That entrance was down to the T.
So much getting built, though.
Look how cool this is.
Animal ambulance.
Like this is like a whole custom truck.
Crazy.
And then there's like these safari jeeps as well.
I know.
Look how cool.
Go for like tours in this thing.
This is so cool.
I think just the vehicle lineup right here is my net worth.
We're close.
We're getting there.
We're close.
What's crazy is they're all new.
All brand new.
Look how sick this is.
Got that wood trim.
Van tar right on the side.
Nice whips.
That looks so good.
All right.
We do need to get in the vehicle to actually get to the next place.
Well, we will have legit giant cats jumping on the top of us in just a moment.
How you doing?
We made it.
We found a forest.
I was waiting for you.
Snuck up on you.
In the kingdom of lions and tigers.
Let's go on in.
Look at this place.
Oh, dude.
This is epic.
So we have a bunch of information about lions, tigers, conservation, a life in a lion pride.
They have a ton of different things.
Look at the rib cage.
Oh, my God.
The legs, paw prints.
The only country in the world that has lions, tigers, bears, wolves.
Oh, my.
I don't.
You're standing in it.
India.
Do you know that there are Asiatic lions?
I had no idea.
No, most people don't.
So all this is to explain that Asiatic lions, the most critically endangered lion species
on earth, is housed here at Ventara and are currently in the conservation breeding program
here at Ventara to keep an insurance colony and one day rewild these lions.
I love that word, insurance colony.
That's really cool.
That's kind of what we were talking about with those, what were those animals?
The white animals with the long horns?
Arabian oryx.
Arabian scimitar horned oryx.
Same situation there?
In the early 1900s, Asiatic lions were completely on the brink of extinction.
Now, there's a population in the wild of 200 or so.
There's only 400 or so in the world, and there's 30 or 40 Asiatic lions here that are
being reproduced.
We're going to see them today?
We might have a chance to meet them today, but what I've set up for you today is the
tiger safari.
Yeah.
And the tiger safari, you can't come to India without meeting tigers.
There's no more iconic cat in the world than the tiger.
Largest cat in the world, right?
Oh, yeah.
Largest, most dangerous, most incredible cat.
So in a few minutes, everything's getting set up.
We're going to jump into some very special vehicles, and we're going to go meet some
tigers.
Sounds good.
Sounds like a plan.
Let's do it.
Look at these whips.
Woo-hoo-hoo!
Wow.
Jump on in, brother.
I'll go with you.
All right.
Is this one of your favorite things to do here?
I've done it a lot, so I'm very used to it, but it is still...
When you first did it, it was probably one of the craziest things ever.
Well, I was going to say, it's still every single time.
I'm excited.
Every single time.
When he told me that tigers are going to be jumping on top of this car early on today,
I was like, that's probably going to be one of my highlights.
It's pretty great.
So essentially, bringing these cars in, it isn't for an experience necessarily.
It is for us at times.
For you, it is.
Yes, exactly.
But what's the main purpose of something like this?
The main purpose is that all of these tigers here are rescue tigers, primarily from the
pet trade.
So they've spent their entire lives in a small concrete box, not getting to have a
10-acre area.
So right now, they're not exactly used to feeding out in the wild.
So the cage truck is designed to bring meat to different areas around this big, giant,
expansive enclosure to get the tigers conditioned to act like wild tigers.
Yeah.
Sweet.
And we're going to experience that right now.
Look at this.
I got a whole bucket of meat.
That is some fresh stuff right there.
Call me Liver King.
I'm going to have a couple.
All right, so we're about to open the gates for all the tigers to run out.
It's going to be sick.
They're going to ambush our truck.
That is such a gorgeous animal.
Look at that thing, dude.
I love how they just jumped right onto the hood.
Oh, yeah.
It's like, they're just like, I know the gist.
I know the gist, yeah.
What?
That is crazy, dude.
Hi.
They ever pee on you?
No, but they'll drool on you a lot.
That'd be unfortunate.
Imagine.
That is wild.
Oh, take a nap.
Just take a little nap.
That is so sick.
Look at that one down there.
All right, folks.
I put gloves on, but I won't be the one feeding, because Forrest is the one feeding.
I will be doing the feeding.
As someone who spends a lot of time in India specialty working on these animals,
we get to do something very special today, which is take some meat,
stick it through the cage, and give these guys a snack.
Hey, buddy.
Hey, look here.
Look.
Hey.
What's this?
What is that?
Oh, it's a big chunk.
You're going to have to reach it over there.
There you go.
Yummy.
And now this one's getting a bit jealous.
Let's come.
Come on.
Hey.
Come on.
Up here, dude.
Come on.
Come here, dude.
Come on.
Ever been that close to a tiger before?
Oh, that is so sick, dude.
What's up, bro?
Wow.
That is beautiful.
Look at how sick that is.
Hey, dude.
It's a perspective that not a lot of people get.
Usually, you go to a facility, and the animals are in a cage, and you get to see them.
Here, you go in a cage, and you get to see the animals.
It's definitely a different perspective, that's for sure.
There's one actually just chilling on top right here.
Forrest has been sticking meat through the hole, and he's really...
She's being very lazy.
So lazy.
Yeah, she's being extra lazy.
There we go.
Good kitty.
Now we're going to have two of them.
That's a big kitty.
Look at those paws.
Look at that.
Now, think of that.
If you were a prey animal like those Nilgai that we met in the green belt earlier, or the deer,
that's the last thing you would ever see, looking up at those paws and teeth as it came down on you.
Don't sound so angry.
She's just vibing.
This one is so...
You are so lazy.
Why are you being so lazy?
Huh?
Hey.
Hey, lazy.
Come on.
What's this?
You want it?
Oh, snap.
Uh-oh.
There we go.
Oh, snap.
There's a girl.
Num, num, num, num, num, num.
Careful.
You're right in the slide zone.
And see the little wetland here?
It's very seasonal, and in the wet season, that's a full lake.
Lake.
And they'll go swimming there, and then they come stand on top of you, and they're just
like dripping water.
It's raining down.
Oh, it's cheap.
I love it, though.
It's just...
Look at those paws.
Oh, now you're getting lazy, too?
Oh.
Oh, my goodness.
He's like, wait.
He's laying down, getting it through the hole.
Maybe...
It's good.
They're keeping us out of the sun.
Yeah, I know.
Tiger sun umbrellas.
Oh.
He's like a tiger.
Yeah, he's literally just rain tiger.
He said, see you later.
Oh.
He didn't play around there.
He let that last maybe a second.
One more for us.
Same spot.
Okay.
Ready?
Here we go.
Listen to that bird.
Grumbling at the other tiger.
Get away from my meat.
That is a cool shot.
Hey, Kyle.
Hey.
Hey, over there.
Hello.
Second camera.
How is it looking from over there?
It's great.
How's it looking for you?
Pretty good.
We got a tiger on top.
That's never happened before.
No, this is the first.
Crazy.
Funny enough, right?
Oh, watch out.
Oh, there's one behind you.
There's one over your head.
Oh, hey.
Whoa.
These are pretty...
He's right above me, isn't he?
He sure is.
Yep.
Come on.
Right down by Paul's face.
Go on, Paul.
Put your face in there.
Oh, hey there, tiger.
That's actually crazy.
Dude, that is nuts.
I've been trying to get good footage.
Oh, yeah.
Look on the left.
What?
Oh.
Two of them down there.
He's getting jealous.
Hey, down there.
There's two tigers down there just chilling.
Oh, you licking yourself?
Yeah.
Oh, a little grooming sesh.
Look at that.
I think it's so funny how they sniff me through.
I think tigers are my number one favorite animal.
Lola doesn't count, okay?
Lola, my otter, is my favorite.
But when it comes to wild cats, this is just...
There's nothing better than a beautiful tiger.
Oh, yeah.
That's good stuff, huh?
Oh, that breath stinks.
Now, it actually doesn't smell at all, which is crazy.
Oh, yeah.
Yummy.
That taste good?
Give me that tongue.
Give me it.
I love to grab tiger tongue.
Tiger tongue.
That is so sick.
That is epic.
She don't like that one over there.
She's like, this is my truck.
Oh, you lazy girl.
Man, the Vantara tiger experience.
That is insane, dude.
Thanks for having me.
I'm glad you got to experience it.
Holy smokes, folks.
I don't know what to say other than you just saw it yourself.
That was awesome.

Can we talk about the manufacturer, this little welding action here?
Because look at this thing.
Tire covers.
We tire cover this.
We've got the cage here.
The window covers as well.
Of course, Vantara across the side.
Dude, they've even got cages around the mirrors.
Look at hydraulics for the hood, so when you open the hood for maintenance.
I mean, dude, they think of it all.
All in all, folks, another crazy day here at Vantara, and this is not the last.
We have another video dropping tomorrow, so we're cooking them out.
