Tiny House with PERFECT Floor plan & Layout! Must See

This is the most popular tiny house floor plan. I featured this model many years ago. It got millions of views. You guys loved it. We're revisiting it today, but here in Indiana, this is a brand new build. The interior is a little bit different. Different interior design. We can see the different options of what this floor plan might look like. I absolutely love this tiny house. We're here at Atlas Views Resort. I'm here with the owners as well, asking them questions. Why they started this? Why they built this place? And I feature the area a little bit. This video is really cool. Let's begin. So who am I here with today? I'm Jared. I'm Katie. And we're here with Atlas Views Resort. What is Atlas Views Resort? So Atlas Views Resort is a place to pause, reconnect, and realign with your inner compass. It's an overall concept of looking for a little bit different place than what you normally would from an Airbnb. We're not really looking for just a stay, but also curating a feeling. It's more wellness-related, pause, reconnect. So it's not just this cabin here behind us that I'm featuring. You have several options here. Tell us more about this whole property in general. Yeah. So we're sitting on 153 acres and we've kind of carved out the top 10 so far to really create multiple different cabin locations. We currently have two cabins up on this part of the property. The other one sits overlooking a lake and we're also in the process of building four more. And now moving on to the tour of the still point. This is 570 square feet of living space. You might consider that a tiny house. You might consider that a small cabin. Nevertheless, this is a very functional space and I absolutely love it. Pulling onto the property, we have a private gate here and we're the first cabin on the right side. Going down the driveway, we have the beautiful black exterior and just all the different geometry of this cabin. That's what I think is really striking about this floor plan, about the build. There's angles everywhere, there's depth, there's roof lines. I love it. And they used a metal siding that looks like board and batten. Really win-win there for the durability of the metal and the board and batten look. It looks great. We have cedar accents all around the cabin as well. And one thing about this floor plan are the windows. This allows for large picture windows everywhere for great natural lighting and it just looks amazing on the exterior as well. You can see on this left side, we have an outdoor space. We'll get there in a second. But on my right side, I think that'd be your left, we have the front door, which is underneath this patio space. They chose for a modern door here. It's green and we're under this patio, protected by the weather and beautiful landscaping all around here. And we can walk inside and check out the space. Walking inside, I think we'll find out why this floor plan, this small cabin or tiny house, is so popular. And one reason is the floor plan itself. We turned right and we entered into the kitchen and the living room space, but you could also go down the hallway and into the bedroom, your bathroom, or your laundry. They're separated. That feels more like a conventional home and I think people like that better. A lot of small cabins or tiny houses are more open. Everything's kind of together. You can be in the living room and you can kind of see who's walking in and out of the bathroom or the bedroom. And this floor plan allows just for the separation and I think that is a high point of this design. But we'll start this tour here in the living room and the kitchen space and it is very large in here. That's thanks to the tall ceilings and the massive picture windows that we have in here. So we have one in the living room and one here behind me in the kitchen. We also have a sliding door in front of me that goes out to your deck space. So there's natural light flooding in from every direction when you're in here. I don't have any of the lights on except the light for that vent hood and it is very bright in here. We'll start in this kitchen space and if you remember the first time I toured this floor plan back in Ohio, they had a different layout in the kitchen. I think they had a table here in the island and I honestly think I like this a lot better. You'll also notice the differences throughout the video if you watched that video years ago and it shows you the differences of interior design that you can do with this floor plan. But I think this one's my favorite. Anyway, this kitchen island is extremely functional. First off, it looks beautiful with the nice white countertop. It's pretty small in size but that's because we're in a small cabin, yet it's very functional. We do have barstool seating on this side so we're not missing out on that dining table aspect. They have three here. I think that would be a little difficult to fit three people. You probably could though but I think two would fit very, very well over on this side. But here's the cool feature. There's hidden storage on both sides. Here's the trash can and I actually don't know what's on this side. I haven't checked yet and we have storage for board games but you could use that storage for anything. So I really like this kitchen island and we have the rest of the kitchen here behind me. This kitchen has a ton of storage, a ton of countertop space. It is very, very functional for this floor plan. It wraps around this entire wall and onto the other wall there behind me. First off, I love the white oak cabinetry they have everywhere. It's elegant, it's high-end, and it just looks really good in this bright space. This first section though is your full-size refrigerator in front of me. In this cabinetry, they have storage above it as well. Then continuing along, we have beautiful white countertops and here in the middle we do have the sink as well as the large picture window. This window illuminates this entire countertop space so you can be prepping food here. Whatever you need to do in the kitchen, it is well illuminated which is great. We also have a dishwasher down there. Then continuing down along the cabinetry, there's storage, there's drawers, there's pots and pans everywhere, and then we have your main cooking spot right here in front of me. Nice five-burner top built into the countertop in front of me. Below, we have an oven that's also a microwave so we do have all the appliances for a standard kitchen. Then above us, we do have the vent hood. It's pretty sleek and it goes along the entire wall to the ceiling up there. We also have floating shelves behind me. White oak floating shelves, your mugs, your dishes, just a few. It just takes up this corner space because this window does take up the majority of the space. Below it, we do have some coffee supplies. I've actually never seen this coffee maker. I do want to point it out because it's like an automatic Chemex machine. I'm not sure what it is. I don't think it's better than the Mocha Master though because I'm still Team Mocha Master, FYI. Anyway, there's another feature I do want to point out. This countertop is all one piece. There's no split here in the corner and it's a rounded corner. That's just a nice little detail I wanted to point out that makes this really, really high-end and thought out. But this kitchen is beautiful. We can sit here at the countertop and look into the living room space. The living room is about the same size as the kitchen and it is completely functional. We have this nice couch on this side. We can sit here. We can lounge on the left and face the TV mounted up onto the wall. I know what you're saying. You might say TV too high. Well, you can adjust it anywhere you want on this wall. We do have an electric fireplace below the TV and then of course we have this picture window in front of us that gives us the beautiful unobstructed views and views of our front deck space and it illuminates the space as well. Enough room for a coffee table in here as well and of course we have a ton of wall space for beautiful wall art like they have up here. Overall, this is a great living room and it being connected right next to the kitchen makes it really, really enjoyable. But now we get to the other part of the tiny house. We'll walk back through this hallway and check out the rest. So when you saw the floor plan online, I mean there's thousands, millions of tiny house options you could have picked from. What about this one stood out to you? We fell in love with kind of the mountain modern which also kind of crosses over to the Scandinavian. Being a custom home builder and designer myself and the business that we currently have, we get to design and build stuff unique that's different but not too often do we get the slopes slanted roofs and kind of the the sleek modern design. So we thought, you know, this is a way to introduce this back into the area have something unique and different that nobody else really has around the area and thought it would be a cool concept. And then what were some modifications you made? Yeah, so we adjusted some areas on the shower. We made the room slightly bigger. We made some adjustments to the kitchen area and then we wanted to recess the hot tub down in to really kind of get that zero clearance or the infinity style pool look and I think it sounds like it's been a big hit with guests so far. Oh yeah. Walking past the front door we have this hallway. Stop. This is my Airbnb tiny house. I've been hinting at it all year if you've been watching this channel that I'm building my own tiny house. You guys will truly love this spot. It's nearing completion. This is the last time I'm going to be talking about Guesty which I plan on using whenever this is up and running. Let's get back to this tiny house tour. This first door is a sliding door and it reveals our full bathroom space. This bathroom is gorgeous. Tile everywhere. I love the black tiling on the floor. It goes into the shower space and we have beautiful lighting all throughout as well. We have inlaid lighting in the shelves inside the shower. We have inlaid lighting underneath the cabinet as well as beautiful lighting on both sides of this vanity to illuminate this room and of course this vanity is clean. It's bright and one little feature I like in the shower is the handle is on this right side and we can turn the shower on and we don't have to get wet and we can wait for it to warm up which shouldn't take long because the hot water tank is right across the hallway which is in this closet space. If we open this up we first have our washer and dryer and then the rest of the utility is behind this door but I don't want to block you guys out. Really nice that this space has a washer and dryer. This is the same setup as it was in the last tiny house years ago when I featured and it's just awesome they have one. Then we can walk to the last room down the hallway which leads to your bedroom space. King size bed in here believe it or not. This is a very spacious bedroom. We have the tall ceilings as well in here. We even have another large picture window right in front of us for beautiful views and that illuminates this entire space but we do have a cool light fixture up hanging from the ceiling as well. Also gives us that warm glow lighting. It really doesn't illuminate the space. It adds that warm glow and warm aesthetic to this room. Also this room has closet space which is great. We have this double doored closet behind us. Got some robes hanging up for you for the hot tub. Some yoga mats in here as well. Plenty of space to store your luggage or if you wanted to live in this home plenty of space to store your wardrobe. There's another utility closet that's locked in front of me and overall this is just a beautiful beautiful bedroom. I love the simple design they went in here yet they added color. If this was just white I think it would be a stale bedroom but the fact they did this green with the mauve pillows the pink blanket down here it adds a little bit of character and life to this bedroom that otherwise would be missing if you just went with a white plain bed. So I really like that but this bedroom also has double sliding doors here in front of me that goes out to the deck space which is absolutely beautiful. I'm going out there right now. And now we enter into your outdoor living space. From the exterior you can see there is a lot of amenities here and a lot of space to be had and if you decide to build one of these yourself you can do this exact same thing. It's a perfect floor plan to allow for a lot of outdoor space covered and uncovered. Here we're in the uncovered portion. We have two chairs in front of the picture window off of the living room and we can sit here and enjoy the unobstructed views we have of the nature. The trees open up to get endless views of the hills and the greenery in front of us. It's gorgeous. It's private. And then we can continue walking along. We have the built-in hot tub in the corner. I love how it's in the deck in the corner. We can be in the hot tub and get unobstructed views as well. It's a perfect spot for a hot tub. So they did that really well. And then we can continue to the covered portion of the deck space. I love how there's also a covered portion. And under here we have a unique feature. A cold plunge by The Pod Company. I've never seen this brand but we do have one here in the corner. It doesn't take up a lot of space at all. I know that's a very popular feature these days. Also under here we have an outdoor grill and we have the path right here in front of me that leads you down to the fire pit area. The fire pit area is gorgeous. You can sit out here under the trees get some nice views of the surrounding area and of course they leave some firewood here for you. One thing I want to point out is the landscaping. Landscaping is crucial with any home or short-term rental. It's actually proven to increase the value of the home if you have nice landscaping. The return on investment is really really good and that applies for short-term rentals as well. You've got to have nice landscaping to draw in the people to come here. It really does make an impact. I love the stone path. I love the stonework and the lights they have here. So I digress. So let's continue. You have your own construction company right? Yes. Is this something that you offer for people if anybody's watching they live in the state or what is the extent of that? Yeah so mostly what we're doing custom design build for other other people but we do actually have a another local customer from out of state that you know is has has bought property and we've actually designed his whole micro resort area. He's actually working through that process with the city and some of the restrictions they have closer to French Lick and so he's working on that currently and we're we're designing the the final before we start pulling the trigger and and get going on his building. The host was saying there's 10 acres here of communal space. They have many plans here and they've already started with this sauna space. So we do have a sauna if you want. They also have a lake on the other side if you want to check that out and enjoy the lake life. A cool water feature is always needed at the Airbnb and as the host were telling me they're going to be adding a lot more to this property in the future. But if you're looking for stuff to do externally from here we're actually close to the eighth wonder of the world. What is that you ask? Well we're just outside of French Lick, Indiana. It's a beautiful downtown space and the hotel the West Baden Springs Hotel has been called the eighth wonder of the world. I'm not even kidding. It is this beautiful dome hotel space. When you walk inside it is completely open with this glass ornate dome top and all the hotel rooms face inside this inner circle. It is absolutely gorgeous. There's horse and carriage rides as well. There's courtyards outside. There's also a scenic railroad museum right next to this. You could walk to it. You guys know I love trains and they have these trains here you can get on and you can actually ride them. You can book a ticket to ride these trains. This is a double-decker train. I've never seen this. This is so cool. And there's also resorts in this downtown that I saw some go-karting as well. There's high-end golf courses. If you're into golfing then I think there's two in this town and we're only 13 minutes outside of this area. That's everything here at The Still Point. We're at Atlas Views Resort.
