This Home has a Unique Dogtrot Architectural Design! Full Tour!

Imagine this, the smell of the wood fire hot tub, dinner is being made inside the cabin, the sun is setting right in front of you. This is Better Together, a unique couple's getaway that I'm going to be touring today. It has a unique architectural feature that I'll explain later in this video. Right now I'm getting the wood going for this hot tub because I'm going to be enjoying it later. Let's check this place out. Welcome back to the channel everybody, we're back at Love Adventures featuring their other unit, Better Together. Last time we featured At Last, I would suggest watching that video if you haven't yet. It was a unique floor plan, this one is also a completely different and unique floor plan, different aesthetic overall. It has what's called a dog trot, which I'll explain later. This one is very, very beautiful as well, very high-end, luxury amenities, the deck space is incredible. We're on the same property, vast open wilderness all around us, total privacy. Whenever you are silent, you cannot hear a thing, just nature, no cars, nothing. If you're looking for seclusion and privacy in a couple's getaway, then this might be the place for you. So pulling up onto the property, we're outside of DeLaguna, Georgia, on this mountaintop, beautiful views. We'll park, you walk down the walkway, that leads you to the getaway. Beautiful landscaping everywhere, and you'll notice that this is two different segments with this breezeway in the middle. This is what's called the dog trot, where they have the bathroom and the bedroom on one side, separated by this breezeway, and then the living and kitchen and dining on the other side. This is a climate responsive design, offering passive cooling through a central breezeway and seamless indoor and outdoor combination. So this is an architectural feature that's been popularized before. I think this is really cool. We don't see this in Airbnbs too often. I like to call it a deconstructed home, because we have these separated units. I think it's pretty neat, especially incorporating the outdoor deck space. So this deck is a Brazilian hardwood, and there's just as much deck space on the exterior as there is indoor space. We're in Georgia, this is a beautiful area to enjoy the nature, and of course, we're overlooking the When we're out here on the deck, we'll explore that. Let's walk into one of these units. We'll go to the right side first and explore your bedroom and bathroom. Walking in here, this is your bedroom and bathroom space. King-size bed on this right side. I like the wood detail they have behind the bed, lights on both sides as well. Whenever you're laying here, you face these floor-to-ceiling windows that look out to your deck space. This cabin faces the west, so the sun sets right through these windows, lets in abundant natural lighting. There's a sliding door off of here as well, so you can access your outdoor space very easily. Out here, we have a couple rocking chairs. I love these very high-quality outdoor chairs, a fire pit, and there's also an outdoor shower here. I know this is a big thing for a couple's getaway. There's two shower heads here to enjoy hot and cold water, and this enables you to shower outdoors with your significant other. There's also a grill out here. We'll explore the rest of the deck when we get there. Let's walk back inside. This is your bedroom. Full-length mirror here with some yoga mats, and through this walkway is your full bathroom. This bathroom is massive. Your vanity right here in front of us with this massive mirror with built-in lights. I love that feature with these mirrors. Plenty of room to get ready at. Your toilet's on this right side. On this left side, we have your walk-in tiled shower. Huge! Two shower heads in here as well, windows in the shower. That's okay, because we are in total seclusion and privacy when we're here. We're not facing the other cabin at all, so you don't have to worry about any of that. And that's the shower space. Walking on the other side, we have a small closet area, and this is where you have some robes, some walking sticks for the pets that we'll show later, and then your washer and dryer. So after you get your clothes washed, that is everything on this side of the getaway, we can walk across the breezeway now onto the other side. Walking in here, this is where your living and kitchen and dining are. Massive space, plenty of room to be comfortable in, and immediately you'll probably notice all the natural light coming in here as well because the sun comes through the windows. We have double sliding doors here to let you go out into the deck space. We can close them up if you want them closed. The couch is very comfortable. It's a deep couch, so when you're sitting here you can relax and truly lounge. You're looking right out the glass windows. Very, very cool. Coffee table here in the middle with some books, a lounge chair in the corner to do some reading as well, and then behind the couch we have some dining options. It's already set up for you, so you can sit here and eat with your significant other. I love the placemats and how it's already set up for you. Very romantic and high-end, if you ask me. And then on this other wall, we have your full kitchen space. It takes up the entire wall from left to right. There's cabinets below, your hidden trash can, your hidden refrigerator, your hidden dishwasher. I like all of that. Plenty of storage. One cool feature is if we open this cabinet, your microwave is hidden, and it's on a pull-out drawer. Very cool. There's another pull-out drawer below it. Can't go wrong with that. On the countertop, we have a mini oven as well as an induction cooktop. You can cook things here. You might be wondering, where's the air vent? Well, this fan right here is the air vent. You place it right next to your cooking, sucks up all that smoke, filters it. It works really well. It had it at the last cabin as well. So if you're missing some circulation in the kitchen, I would suggest checking this out. And there is a QR code to check out all of the stuff in here that you can buy. The furniture, the kitchenware. Anyway, continuing with the kitchen, the sink is here in the middle in front of this window. And we have your coffee supplies and more floating shelves. They leave a Mocha Master coffee machine here, different than the last cabin. The last one is white, this one is the silver. It blends in with the aesthetic better because this is definitely a white and gray aesthetic in this living and kitchen space. But I love Mocha Master. High quality coffee is important. They leave the grinder for you as well and some other supplies all along this kitchen. You'll have everything you need. Very similar in amenities as the last cabin, but totally different floor plan, totally different just layout and how you will function between your space. It's very neat. We can walk outside now through the breezeway. We have some wood here that you can use for your wood-fired hot tub. The wood-fired hot tub is right in the middle of all of this and you can set it up and in just 90 minutes or less, you can have the water as a perfect temperature for your hot tub, like 140 degrees. It smells great whenever you're doing it. It's pretty romantic as well. Two people can fit in here. I don't know which one to put at my own Airbnb yet. I have wiring for a hot tub, but I might go with the wood-fired hot tub now that I've experienced it a little bit more. I don't totally know which way I'm leaning yet. Anyway, we have that and then also an outdoor dining table to eat at, to enjoy the sun. It's January right now, but it's like 50-some degrees. Incredible weather. And then they have this lounge piece over here against the wall. It's very comfortable, it's cool, and it looks like it takes the weather very well. A lot of outdoor furniture just get destroyed. This seems like it works really well. All their other outdoor furniture seems that it works very well. It's high quality. And this is the outdoor deck space. It's comfortable. I like it a lot. We have one more thing to show on this property, and that's the trails. So we can walk down the trails. There's a lot here. You'll definitely get a workout up and down, switchbacks, rocks everywhere. My favorite part was the creek at the bottom. We walk along this creek. It sounds amazing. The water is really pretty. There's a couple swimming holes in the summer months, if you want to enjoy that.
