AI GeneratedSofie shares a relaxing solo camping trip in Denmark, where she enjoys the summer weather, tests new gear, and reveals that she is expecting a baby in November. She discusses her upcoming travel plans and asks her community for advice on healthy hiking snacks.
Hi, my name is Sofie. Today I'm going to sleep right here inside.
I'm going to build a campfire, cook a delicious dinner, and then I have some truly big news to share with you.
I hope you will follow along with my journey.
I've just arrived at this fantastic campsite.
The weather is just so nice today.
It's really one of the first warm summer days here in Denmark.
Oh yes, I think the campsite looks fantastic.
We have a lovely, warm summer day.
We have a bench.
Just a super nice spot here to set up the tent.
So it will be my first decision to set up the tent.
I got it figured out. It was quick and easy.
I have used this tent from Fjellreven, which can be used without the outer layer.
So you have just the inner part with mesh.
And since it's so warm today, I thought it would be nice to use it like that,
for bare at kunne se ud i forresten.
I see that I promised to add a fire.
Let me just do it.
Here we are.
It's a little bit more exciting now.
Yes, I just think it's a really cool tent.
It is small, and you can use it in various ways.
So perfect for a summer day like this.
I think I should go out and gather some kindling and start my campfire.
I'm actually really happy already.
It's Friday. I just got home from work a couple of hours ago.
Then I packed my bag and went out to the front.
It's now a little past six in the evening.
And it's my usual dinner time.
Well, I guess I have to light a fire so I can cook up something for dinner.
My fire is going out, I think I should go take a look out at Camp Fjord.
It's just next to this little lake.
And I see there's a path down here.
It looks very beautiful.
What a beautiful day.
I actually ran a race once around the track.
Back in January.
On a day when it was minus 11 degrees.
That was my coldest fight ever.
And I'm quite sure that today will be my warmest match ever.
So it's quite funny.
I don't know if you can hear it.
But there are plenty of fruits in this little lake.
They're quite loud.
I hope they won't keep me awake all night.
The fire is ready, so I can begin cooking my dinner.
But I actually only need a little warmth on my forehead.
Because of what I'm making for my dinner.
It's something I've never tried making before over a campfire.
I do it quite often at home.
So I'm eager to see if I can do the job over the open fire.
I'm thinking of making spaghetti carbonara.
So I've used a couple of eggs.
And some overcooked spaghetti.
A little parmesan and bacon.
Maybe I actually do need the heat on my forehead to cook bacon.
It was definitely not the easiest stew to cook.
I warmed up a little.
I don't know whether it was too hot or not hot enough.
But now I think it's okay to eat.
And it tastes good.
It was a lovely dinner.
Almost as good as when I make it at home.
I've just been sitting here on the campfire, which is now burnt out.
I'm enjoying this beautiful evening.
I am listening to the frogs.
They're so silly.
And I actually have some news to share.
Store news.
I am a father.
So I will become a mother.
Og has a baby.
It's really amazing.
It's a big deal.
I am a father four months now.
So I want to have a baby in early November.
I am really, really happy.
And I'm so excited to become a mother.
I have always wanted to become a mother.
Oh yes, my boyfriend and I are just super happy about it.
As long as the infection has been okay, I think.
I've been a bit sick.
Very tired and worn out in the evening.
But I think it's just to be expected when your body is growing.
A little person.
I'm just glad I don't feel Norwegian every day.
As some women do.
As I said in other videos.
My mother knitted this shirt for me.
When I'm out in the forest.
And now she's made a baby version of it.
She is so sweet.
For the little dead baby.
I hope I can get it out here.
I am lost.
On camping trips.
I am at least planning to do it.
Well, I guess I'll take it when it comes.
I have no idea how it feels to have a baby.
And how much you can do.
I think it also depends on the baby.
All babies are certainly different.
I've been so excited to share these news with you.
I've followed myself on so many versions now.
And I hope you get to witness a new great chapter in my life.
To be a mother.
I usually upload a new video every other week.
But I think around the time the baby is born in November,
There will probably be a pause in the uploads.
I hope I can make new videos,
When the baby is here.
And when she is a bit older,
So I can hopefully take it on trips.
Of course, I'll take some time at home.
To enjoy this new life.
And the new little person in my life.
But I really feel like making these videos.
And come out here into nature.
So I hope I can keep doing it.
And I really hope I can bring the baby along.
I might have noticed that my dust has grown.
I'm not sure how much you can see on the camera.
Men's pants are becoming very tight.
As I can see here.
I'm sure I don't need this dust anymore.
It's good that I have elastic on the bag.
We've actually just figured out the gender.
I'll keep it to myself a bit longer.
But please keep guessing in the comments.
It will be interesting to see what you think we want.
If it's a child or a woman.
Now it's time to set up the slow system.
It is already seven o'clock in the evening.
Although one cannot tell, because it's still so stiff.
It's so nice having these long summer days.
I used some new pullers today.
A new mat from X-Pet.
They were so kind as to send it to me as a gift.
So I have to say that this is sponsored.
It's X-Pet Ultra, I think that's what it's called.
It has a pH value of 6.5.
So it's already a clockwork sleepy mat.
I think it's really impressive how narrow it is.
And how easy it is.
When you see how big it actually is when it's inflated.
Look how thin it is.
And this is the broader model.
So I'm really looking forward to testing it out.
I have had X-Pet slow mattresses before.
And I think they are of really good quality.
I have also used a new mat.
I have finally bought a summer sleeping mat.
She was very much in need of it.
Oh, look how narrow it is.
I can't believe it.
It is the same size as an algin bottle.
And it weighs approximately 350 grams.
It's from Sea to Summit.
The other one is called Spark.
Now it's time to jump into the tent.
Go to bed.
The weather forecast actually says it's going to rain.
And there will be lies and water at night.
I'll make sure to put the extra stock on the tent.
But I just think it's so nice having the mesh, that I look good.
Oh yes...
Half the time, you wouldn't believe the explanation here in Denmark.
So I think I'll take the risk.
Then I can always come up and put it on if it starts to rain.
I jumped into the tent.
Now I'm going to bed.
I really hope it doesn't rain during the night.
Yes, we'll see.
Christmas
Good morning.
It started to rain now.
I grew up with small beetles that would fall into my house.
It's like 6:30 tomorrow.
I could sleep for a couple more hours, I think.
But I think I should do something about this bill.
I don't want to go up.
But I have to.
Now it's getting harder.
I got up, and of course it stopped raining then.
So I'm not sure whether I should do anything about the tent.
I also need to return to the city a bit earlier today.
Because I meet my dear boys,
They've planned a whole day of fun.
It gave me a birthday gift in November.
But now we've finally found the time to do it.
So we're meeting at 11.
I think they'd like it if I took a fun one first.
Maybe I'll just leave the tent for now,
I have some coffee and I'm freezing.
And then I can open up.
I had a really good evening on my new sleeping pad.
I feel that I'm still a little bit new to the whole gear world.
Even though I have quite a lot now.
But I just get so impressed by those products,
How can they achieve such high quality?
It has so many functions.
And it's just still really small and worthy of respect.
The secret is revealed.
Good thing I didn't think to put the cover over the tent.
It's such a beautiful morning.
The children and the birds are just running wild.
It's over in June.
So that means the summer vacation is near for me.
It's really nice. I have some cool plans for the summer.
First, I go on a long high-altitude hike with a large fire.
I'm just so excited about it.
They invited me to a high-rise.
I think it's so cool.
I feel truly honored and proud to be invited.
I'm starting to get a bit nervous too.
It's been two weeks now, and I think I'll walk 72 kilometers over three days.
I just hope I can do it.
I feel that my body is a bit weaker.
Not weaker, but I'm using my energy somewhere else.
I have to carry everything myself.
My tent, my sleeping bag, and other things.
That's also why I'm trying to reduce its importance.
Because I don't want to carry too much when I'm done.
But I'm so excited about it.
I can't wait to share it with you.
After that, my partner and I take a trip to Albania.
I've never been there before, but I've heard it's a fantastic country.
Beautiful nature and very well-known people.
The plan is to rent a car with a roof tent.
And drive into nature and see the beautiful nature.
If you have any good tips for Albania—what to do, what to see, who to try.
If you'd like, write it in the comment.
I would like some effort to be recognized.
And one other thing. I could really use some help.
Which conversations are good to bring on a long trip?
Now that I'm finished, I'm extra hungry.
So I won't go down into talking.
But I still want to keep them small.
And it shouldn't just be candy.
Because I think I need some good food and energy.
So if you have any good suggestions on what makes a good travel conversation,
So help me out in the comments.
Yes.
I got everything unpacked.
And I checked my campsite.
Now I will go back to where I packed the car.
I have a smoothie myself.
To get a bit of energy.
I think it has been a really beautiful and relaxing journey.
It's a good effort that you can always just leave on Friday evening,
when you come from work.
And then be back home Sunday morning,
or at least earlier in the day.
And I always feel full of energy
After a camping trip like this one.
Even though it can be hard to get out the door,
Pack the bag and leave.
When you're out here, it's just absolutely freezing.
I always feel really happy and full of energy,
when I come back home.
Thank you so much for watching this video.
I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I've enjoyed being out here.
I upload new videos every other weekend.
It would mean a lot if you subscribed to my channel.
as a helper to get me on more trips like this.
I'll see you in the next video.
