On this solo motorbike camping trip, I ride to a remote coastal campground to try out my new hot tent. Along winding gravel roads, I make my way there, once arrive I set up camp, cook on the fire and relax with a couple of beers under the stars.
If you're new here, my name is Jack. I head out on solo rides, day trips, and camping adventures, cooking simple meals, and exploring nature.

After navigating a slightly confusing assembly process and preparing a simple meal over an outdoor brazier, the speaker enjoys the solitude of nature before testing the tent's heating capabilities for a cozy night's sleep.
So I've been looking at this tent for quite some time. It would be an understatement to say that
I am excited because I am beyond that to set this thing up. You've got a fireplace inside your tent
that's the pinnacle of coziness is it not? I'm gonna have a fire outside the tent, fire inside
the tent. Enough talking let's set this thing up. Now I know it's quite a weird design. I think it
goes something like this. Okay so let me just have a look here. So that's the door, that's where the
chimney goes. Looks pretty good. I mean it looks weird because it's a weird design but it looks
right. I don't think that's where the door is. Ah I see, I see. Okay so we'll flip that round
because the main door is on this side. It seems that you have to find some sort of branch or
something that doesn't come with the tent to hold these up. Kind of like this. I've got a lot of room
in this tent. I didn't expect to have this much room so I'll just show you what I'm working with.
This is the area where you've obviously got the stove. It's pretty nice that I've got a pretty
decent amount of room over here so I'll actually be able to fit all my bags and everything inside
the tent when I go to sleep. If I want to do that I'd say I'm going to move them a little bit further
away from the fireplace. Look at this cute little thing man. Look how small it is. So we'll get that
cranking a little bit later on but first I am going to get the brazier going. Gonna go find
some wood. There's actually heaps up in this bush here. Won't have to go too far. So we'll get the
fire going, get some dinner sorted. I'm having a pretty easy dinner tonight. I didn't want to pack
anything that I had to really prepare too much because I knew that setting up this new tent was
going to be a little bit tricky and I knew it was going to take a bit of time. So I just grabbed some
chicken kebabs, sausages and some buns. Chuck a bit of sauce on there and we'll be right. Couple beers.
I feel so good that this is all sorted though. Look at this beautiful campsite. Look at it.
There's actually a lot of dead trees around here so it wasn't hard to find all of this. There's a
bunch of kindling here. It's like super dry. I assume it's going to burn real quick but I actually
found some other logs. Well I didn't find them. They were literally just sitting right here so
I'm hoping they're going to burn. They feel a little bit damp but I guess we'll just wait and
find out. There's a bunch of pine trees up here. Definitely not going to go cold tonight. I know
I keep saying it but I really can't wait to see how this hot tent works out. Whoa! I almost ate it just
then. Imagine that. Just impaled myself. That would not be good. Oh yamanas! Burnt meself.
It feels quite damp. Just going to see if that burns. If it doesn't, it's all good. We've got a
got quite a bit more. It should be dry. I might actually just put these bits underneath the
brazier just so they can all dry off and then they should burn pretty well once they're ready to be
thrown on the fire. All right, not going to lie. I spent about an hour and a half just setting up,
cutting up all this wood and drinking a few beers. I'm about to get dinner started now.
The fire's got a nice bit of coals in there now so we should be good to chuck the grate on,
get some chicken kebabs on, some sausages. Yet again, it's a beautiful night out here. Stars are
shining. Not a cloud in sight. Barely any wind. This is honestly, this is why I come out here.
Look at this. Look at this. Is this not perfect? Got the tent set up, bike, fire,
beers, food, absolute solitude. It's these sort of moments where you can just
sit back and really relax and think. Your mind's not cluttered by your day-to-day work,
trying to figure out this and that. You come out camping and you know the whole night all
you've got to do is keep the fire going, cook some good food and drink some beers. That's just,
that's why I love it out here. So we've got five satay kebabs, a couple of beef sausages,
just to top it off. It's either embers or flaming hot fire. So we got some crispy, uncooked
chicken kebabs for dinner. Hell yeah. Got some buns. Let's actually see, I just want to see
if these chicken kebabs are cooked and they were on there for a while.
I know the sausages are cooked because they're black.
I don't know why it just tastes so much better when you cook it on the fire.
Cheers. Now time for the part I was most excited for.
All right, that took a little while to get that started but as soon as I closed the door and
opened up the vent, it seemed to start blazing after that. So I think we're sorted. Wow, she's
pretty toasty in here. This is actually so sick. Anyway, I'm just going to enjoy this
nice cosy fire for a while and get some sleep. I'll see you guys in the morning.
So
that fireplace is so cool. Real cosy last night. It's pretty crazy that I can fit that whole setup
on the back of my bike. Like I've got a full on tent, a fireplace, I got my brazier, got my food,
my water, my clothes, batteries, this and that and I can fit it all on my bike. How sick is that?
Anyway, I'm about to head home now. Thanks again for watching and I'll see you on the next one.
