BRUNO S SURGERY Donkey Teeth Extraction

Hello everybody, this is Esme and today's video is slightly different. It starts off with a vlog of the horses and donkeys having their annual check-up from the vet where they have their injections and have their teeth bloated. Unfortunately we found out that Bruno actually had to have three teeth removed because they were growing into his cheek and into his tongue which was causing him discomfort when eating. So the second part of the vlog is the actual day of Bruno's surgery where we had to load in the donkeys to the trailer for the first time so that was interesting and then Bruno had his three teeth removed throughout the whole process everything from the day where the vet just came out for their annual check-up to the day where Bruno had his teeth taken out. None of the horses or donkeys were in distress at all throughout the whole thing when Bruno had his teeth taken out he was sedated so he probably couldn't can't remember anything and he was really dopey. So just because I understand that quite a lot of you will probably be quite worried about the animals so they were all fine. So I was actually in theatre with Bruno the whole time when he had his surgery and I got to film it so there are some bits where you can actually see his teeth being extracted I understand that some people are quite squeamish with things like blood and needles so I have left some time stamps underneath in the description so you can skip over those parts if you want to but the whole entire vlog isn't just those parts just to let you know so I hope you enjoy this slightly different video Hey Bruno! Good morning everybody today the vet is actually coming out so I have all of the donkeys here on the hard standing there's Toby in the back and Willow out there but they all currently have their rugs off because the vet's coming so Mickey is also in his stable there and Casper's just there out in the field because Casper's not having anything done because he has the vet come out in September and the donkeys and Mickey have everything done like April March so that's why all the donkeys are here so I'm just going to get all of the donkey's head collars now put them on and give them a little pamper. Do you want a little groom? Yeah Bruno? Oh mix you don't know what's coming You're gonna have your teeth done today yeah Bruno's, Toby's and Willow's. Okay guys are you ready? So the trio are now all tied up and ready to be groomed Also Toby has to go in the middle so he's in between Bruno and Willow just because he gets separation anxiety so if he can't see what everyone's doing to the other donkeys he gets a little bit upset and scared so the poor little guy has to go in the middle to make sure that he's happy Watching Mickey? Doing moral support isn't he? Oh Toby we're having to sedate you Injection time mix good boy thank you good lad he's like that's over now So all of the animals are now done they've Mickey's had his injection and they've all had their teeth done and Bruno and Toby are just currently in their stable chilling in here hello do you want to go out I'm sorry but we have to leave both of them in here I think Toby's starting to be a bit more with it a bit more awake good morning Mickey hello hi there you ready for your breakfast yeah hello everybody it's now about a week and a bit later and today is actually the day of Bruno's surgery so now I just need to give the horses their breakfast and then I'm not going to give the donkeys their breakfast because I'm going to put some carrots in the trailer to try and tempt them to go into the trailer because obviously the donkeys have never traveled before they've never been in a trailer so this might be a bit interesting Casper is ready and waiting right by the feed room all of the horses are actually currently naked because it has been so hot recently in the UK we've had a heat wave like today the sky is just completely blue the sun is out it's feeling like summer again now we have all four feet on but can we get him inside that is the question hey tops you're almost in he managed to put two feet on this part of the ramp but he's just gone off now good boy two feet on the front you're almost here that's super impressive you know you want the carrot come on Toby good boy so I managed to get Toby in he's all tied up he was so good as soon as he really got his front legs on there he just sort of walked on so good boy tobs we've tied him up quite tight just because we don't want him moving around or anything got some bucket of carrots more carrots here it's your turn Mr Bruno you're the star of the show you're the guy we need we have success we managed to get Bruno in as well so that is great just with a bit of time and patience and lots of carrots we've managed to get them in hi guys have a safe trip he's really putting all of his weight on me so it's now a couple weeks later after Bruno's surgery he is doing really really well as you can see he is back eating better than ever he's not in any discomfort anymore when eating which is brilliant for the first few days after the surgery he was on some pain medication but apart from that he's now off it now and he's doing really well so i hope you guys enjoyed this week's video and i'll see you guys next time bye
