The narrator highlights the sheer scale of the excavation, the presence of ancient tools, and the remarkable preservation of architectural elements like bridges and altars.
I just snuck into a canyon to show you footage never before seen on YouTube Discovery Channel
National Geographic. This is going to be the first time you've ever seen this footage.
I hope you guys enjoy. Guys, I'm not even kidding now. I've explored more than 600 of these stone
buildings now and I've climbed to the top of these peaks and looked over as far as the eye can see
and every canyon is carved out. I've seen enough stone carved out that you could build over 20
great pyramids with all the stone and I'm not even kidding. This is the most mind-blowing
ancient place I've ever been to. Hey guys, on this adventure I'm taking you deep into a slotted
canyon. I follow ancient steps that go into the canyon and carved into rock and I stumble upon
something no one's ever seen this before besides probably the locals. Look at this.
All carved in. It's a skinny. I had to free solo down this canyon
and then I made it to here and then there's carvings everywhere.
You can tell it was all painted at one time. Look, boom, boom, boom, boom. Look at them all.
Where are you? Hello. I can't see you. Good morning friends. Just me and you
in some open canyons. Right here is the old water system. Right here are old steps
going down into the canyon. These guys were highly advanced civilization.
The water system just goes all along the whole canyon and we're gonna follow it
to see where it might take us. Look at this. All chiseled in. Thousands and thousands
years ago. You can see there ancient steps. This was an ancient road carved right through the
mountain. I'm pretty excited to see where this takes us. It's been about a mile so far.
Think how long it took to carve this in there. So after all the free soloing and climbing
I've scratched my Insta360 and of course on this model they don't allow you to change out the lens.
So today I'm gonna smash out the lens. That's the only way to. I'm gonna smash some out
then I can continue using it as long as I don't get it wet. Wow, it's pretty hard.
There we go. There's one side and there's the other side. Nice. Now just gotta remove all that.
Gotta do it without scratching the inside lens. And just like that we have the lenses off and
luckily have a case. So the drainage ditch runs along here but look at this huge tower.
We're gonna go underneath that thing. You can see the pathway was carved right through here.
They did a staggering amount of work just to make these pathways. It's a giant stone.
There's probably a lot of pottery and stone tools. There's lots of chert. So I just got done climbing
under all these giant rocks and look at this. Someone built a living space.
They carved out a shrine or something. Something up there. I think they built a platform
connects to the wall. Maybe some kind of bridge through this. Look there's the drainage ditch
but I thought that was pretty beautiful. Just randomly in a canyon. There's something else
there. Oh yeah you can see parts of the pathway. Something big happened here. Just destroyed
everything. Wow now there's actual steps carved right in. But look at the weathering. It's like
10,000 years. Look how the steps are just gone. This is so cool you guys. I just climbed up this
canyon and look up here. There's an ancient bridge up there. Wow look at that engineering.
I wonder if the full arch is still there.
No way. How is that still standing?
That's been there for like 4,000 years. The full arch and look at the weathering on the stone.
That is cool. That is rare. That has been standing there four to maybe five thousand years.
I thought I saw like a stone tool. It's definitely worked. Looks like a scraper to me.
You can hold it in your hand and some kind of cutter, scraper. But it's definitely worked
all the way around. I thought for sure I'd be fighting. That almost looked like a point.
There's a lot of chert and stuff in here. Oh man guys this is what I really wanted to find here.
Myself alone in a slot canyon. Fresh air. Peace. Oh the gratitude you feel
in these canyons. It's unmatched. Look how tight and beautiful it gets. Look at the color.
I just wish I could have you guys right here to see this with me. I feel like I'm in one of those
old western shows. I loved watching those growing up. It's just so curious. Look how that just
snakes through. Oh man. The colors. The freedom. Just so thankful. Thankful I can bring you guys
along. Been enjoying all the positive comments and I'll be sharing a lot of these videos with
you guys for a long time. It's such a tight canyon. You could literally jump across in some spots.
Wow. It's a canyon you don't want to be in when the rain starts coming. Just cut through this canyon
like a knife. Wow. Look at this. Left or right. Completely splits up. I'm gonna go right because
that is the right way. Just saw some beautiful chert. I believe I found some kind of point.
Maybe a spearhead or a tool. Remember guys they have found points like this that are 500,000
years old in this region. So that's mind-blowing. I just found a stone hammer stone. Would have been
mounted like that to a stick. Doing some pecking. There's so much stone tools in this area. That
could be a hammer stone as well. Beautiful canyon. Wow guys. This is a world's first.
Look behind me.
I know a lot of locals come here to shoot critters. You'll never ever see this on YouTube.
Look at that. Oh my goodness. You can tell it was plastered and one time painted.
Wow. You can tell it was all painted.
Where are you? Hello. I can't see you. Oh hello. Wow. What a view guys.
There's the local farmers. I'm gonna take you deep down a slot canyon where no one has ever gone
besides locals. This is the first time you'll ever see it on YouTube. I'm standing inside this
ancient building. Look at that. It's all ingrown. I feel like I'm in the western movies. I feel like
I'm Indiana Jones. It is crazy. Different holes and tunnels everywhere. But it's gonna be the
oldest thing you've ever seen. So stay tuned. This is awesome you guys. The locals are still
living up this canyon. What a cool spot to live. This is the first time you'll ever see this
on YouTube. Let's go take a look inside these homes. Wow. So it's all just used
for farming now. You can see they've been burning wood in here for
the last maybe 2,000 or more years. What a view. Man that is stunning.
Man oh man oh man. Wow. Look at that coloring. Wow. This was a highly highly highly advanced
civilization. Every place has water drainage. They had water. Got a free solo around this cliff.
But each home had its own water supply. Wow. Wow wow wow wow wow. These are all tombs.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. That's what they call them tombs. But these almost look different
unless they're just unexcavated. But they could just be a bed for each each family or individually.
Individual. Man this is exciting. If you guys are enjoying this please share the video.
This is the first time anyone has posted these specific areas on YouTube. Just share the video.
Give me a like or hit the hype button. As us real creators are now competing with all these AI
creators. So it's getting harder and harder for us to show up. So all you guys got to do just give
one like and then my videos will stay on your feed. If you don't like it
then YouTube won't even show you the video. Wow. Let's continue. Wow. Look at this one. It's all
ingrown. Whoa. Little roof. Man I truly feel like Indiana Jones. This is so amazing.
Look at that view. Wow. I don't know about you guys but the weathering on this stone looks to be
at least 30,000 years old. Like tell me that's not 30,000 years of weathering.
Oh. Scared me. Wow wow wow. Holy. Look at that huge spot. Multiple stories.
Guys I'm not even kidding now. I've explored more than 600 of these stone buildings now.
And I've climbed to the top of these peaks and looked over as far as the eye can see.
And every canyon is carved out. I've seen enough stone carved out that you could build over 20
great pyramids with all the stone. And I'm not even kidding. This is the most mind-blowing
ancient place I've ever been to. It's just shockingly. Can't even explain it.
Let's go over and explore some of these ones now. Feels incredible hiking up
where someone carved thousands of years ago. Wow. Look at the little drainage.
Look at all the flood sediment. One time there was a huge flood that came through here.
This was definitely a home because then they could sit along this bench and then just sleep up here.
What a view. Let's walk out. Have their breakfast, lunch. Man everywhere you look was carved.
Look at the whole top of this. It's carved out. Little homes everywhere. Wow.
But the weathering on this. That's got to be more like 30,000 years.
There's old paintings from thousands of years ago that show this place
exactly the same. And look at all this flooded sedimentary debris. And we're like 100 feet up.
And it's full of like river rock. Everything. And not to mention that's like a thousand years
of getting washed out. So there was probably 100 feet of sedimentary debris. And then there's even
more rooms up top. Wow. There's a bunch of dogs and sheep up there. See look at this. This is all
flooded sedimentary debris. This seems to be like some kind of altar.
Big altar stone in the middle. Check out the collars. I'm gonna say that a million times.
Look at this. It's like the floor itself melted. That is interesting. Check out that altar stone.
Look at all the drill holes. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
You can still see plaster in the corners. This would have all been plastered over
and painted. You can see it at a door. That's where the hinges went in. What an amazing place.
And look at all the drainage systems. These guys were living good. They weren't struggling. They
were thriving. So let's see if we can get up here to the other spots. Wow. There's even another
altar right here. That is so strange. Wow. Another one up there. Oh, there's a secret
water channel. But again, more sedimentary debris. Now this isn't just from the wind.
It's filled with giant stone or river rock or whatever. Another secret room. But again,
look at the weathering. That's the same kind of weathering you see in the American Southwest
in the canyons. And again, that room's full of sedimentary debris. And again, we're like
60 feet, 70 feet above the river. Look at all this sedimentary debris.
This probably filled up 10 feet a thousand years ago. Wow. Unreal.
Not sure if this is some kind of altar stone or that was actually their bed. Who really knows?
I just noticed right by my feet, it's an ancient piece of pottery. That is cool.
Someone was most likely sitting where I'm sitting, having a cup of tea or something. That is cool.
Hmm.
Thought that was a tool or something. So I'm just going to have a snack
in this ancient doorway, in the silence, in the peace. Can't beat this view. Ancient room,
thousands of years of weathering. Wow.
