Highlights - Paraguay 0-1 France - FIFA World Cup 2026

The hottest recorded World Cup match and it's Paraguay and France who clash for a place in the quarterfinals. Koenig steps up, has a look for goal himself. Alise under pressure, Dembele, the ball pings around and almost trickles past. Leo goes from distance and flies into the crowd. Dembele stood over the corner, it's a high looping ball this time, looking towards the back post. The strike is bouncing. Here's Dembele, Mbappe's gone down. The corner's been taken quickly, France. Koenig, oh and tips over. Another big moment for Orlando Hill. Keeps going, as Desiree doing, that's a great run. He goes down. The appeals are there from the French fans, nothing is given. It's Mbappe, who steps up and rolls the ball into the back of the net. Was it ever in doubt? Here's Mbappe once again. And they push France here. It's a good save. He's still doing. Who leaves it for Mbappe? It's a massive save, it's the follow up there and it's saved again. Exceptional from Orlando Hill to deny the French machine does indeed march on. It is the end of the road for Paraguay.
