Thailand 🇹🇭 vs. USA 🇺🇸 - Highlights | Week 3 | Women's VNL 2026

Here we go, Thailand on the right side of your screen. In the blue, ESA on the left side. In the white, shots fired through the middle blocker. So we are tied up at threes. But what do we do with the serve? And it's a quick response from Thailand. Thompson, she goes for it as well. And that one drops and dips and falls in the corner. Comes for another one, this time handled. And so is the block. Second time, Poulter, so aggressive with the arms. It's one simpler option for USA to the back. And they will use Skinner. They are getting some speed involved now. After a second or third effort from Thailand, the ability to be aggressive does drop off. Better quality ball for Poulter and Skinner. Thompson, who came into this match again for a serve. There's only one more on the board. Oh, evil handle. Hands all over that. And then Eggleston cleaning it up. There's the mismatch that we're probably going to talk about a lot. Oh, oh, that was just turning off the lights. Ogbogu says, yeah, there's no way through here. This door is closed. I don't think there even was a door for USA. Scooped up as well from Skinner. A good looking swing. She does it again this time. Speaking of closing the door, she does it offensively as well as defensively. Look at 15. Thompson, and a quiet play. Oh, wow, there it is again. Monster block for the USA. And the thing is, Thailand, I don't think they have a single player even at 190. Oh, it's an ace serve. And now USA, the aggressors at the net. With two aces. Do nicely from the backcourt for Thailand. Extra serve. Bump coming in. Free ball to Thompson with a little tip available into the donut hole. Second set point opportunity for USA. Can they put it away? Ogbogu, yes, please. Feed your middle on set point, Jordan Holter. And that will do it. First set done and dusted. 25-21 for USA. In the end, it's just another perfect situation. It's too hard for the Thai block to respond to the athleticism and physicality that USA can play within these perfect situations. And this final point is kind of a great example. We are now underway with set number two. That's it. With the first serve. Wow. Spinner with a statement swing. Well, it's not the most efficient way to win a point, but it is the second most efficient. One swing. That's it for Pornhub. Had some big matches for Thailand over the week. 22 points against Canada. It goes flat. Pornhub, Ogbogu block. And then they can use their speed and variation. Flip coming. USA still lead. Oh, wow. The angle on that. Closing the gap. Just two. Step off the net. Doesn't matter. She's got recce. One ace tonight. And get the defense to go with it. Poulter goes long distance. Eggleston. Stutter step. Well and right. With the pressure from the end line. There's a little tip to come over. Chance for Thailand. Into the block. And no coverage. Point USA. Make those players work a little bit harder. Poulter making everybody work hard. The one-handed dump. Side still. Recce. Oh, wow. That is more like it. That dow with a thump. So I did some timing variation. She's got nine points now. Nobody else more than four on Thailand's side. Ogbogu. 20-12. USA fully in command here. That's it for Porn. She's going to have to do a lot there. But it's another monster block for the USA. So Sibba Porn gets absolutely shut out. Behind. Another chance. This time a bit sharper. Look at the sharp Ogbogu is. Really rely on your opponent to determine the level of how the game is going to be played. Keep their level. That will do nicely. Recce with a quick ball behind. Interrecce for the USA. And she pulls it out. Silencer. But that is a great response from Thailand. Third set point for USA. Is this the one? Kennedy makes sure of it. What a rip on the right side. Set number three underway. And Cleon Skinner, as it has been. Justin becomes the setter. She will roll it into the backcourt. Sibba Porn does what she's been doing all match long. Inroads, but still a breakpoint advantage for Thailand. A full hammer from Eggleston for a fall. And a deep swing from Recce. Once they have you in the rear view, they do not slow down. Skinner looking around to make sure there was a touch on that. They're starting to flow on USA's side now. So comfortable. The confidence is oozing. She's there. Another swing off the hands. Handled well. Hence the set. Thompson ready. Unloads, but a touch. In real time. Whoa. There's a little wiggle or waggle of the touchdown finger. Poulter. Oh, it's her. Nice defense from Eggleston. Recycle play, Skinner. Gets it right back from Poulter. She's dug. And a whistle's blown. And USA are cheering. There is a bit of ponytail. No net touch. USA have to keep pushing all their way through to the end. Pushes that ball deep. And so does the block. What a follow by Wibonrath. It's a good choice to jump forward and long, quick away from the setter. It buys a little bit of space for Kibichaya on the right-hand side. Overload. And that finds the floor easily from the USA. She's going down. So is the ball monster block from Rakian Thompson. A little bit better air conditioning situation here in Japan. Much, much better. And that's a much, much better swing. I hope it's in color. Rodriguez with perfection. Side tip from Eggleston. That doesn't land. Kaila and forcing USA to swing again. Sammity on the right side. And she does go so deep. You can recognize him from week two. Every other time in a global game ever, I think. Thailand hanging on by a thread. Through the middle. And that speed has been one of the Achilles heels. There is not enough space. Tries to beat Eggleston. Nothing available. Match point USA. Good serve from Skinner. Akogu, she is blocked. Pence to set. Eggleston goes high off hand. Defense is there from Thailand. Going to Guadalupe Jaya. And she'll sneak one past Morgan Pence. This time, she does find enough space. Second match point opportunity. And the fan is off the net. Thompson. The closer, not yet. Back to the court, into hands. Oh, what a coverage. Three ball coming for the USA. Rodriguez all over it. And that is a connection we have loved all night long. And it is the closing statement by the USA, 25 to 20.
