I tested an AI tool that sends LinkedIn connections, follows up, and finds leads — all on autopilot. Here are my exact results after 10 days, and how you can set this up too.
LinkedIn is the best B2B platform out there, but most entrepreneurs are too busy to actually use it. I was one of them. So I let AI handle it — and these are the real numbers.

The speaker shares the results of a 10-day experiment using Sendpilot, a LinkedIn automation tool acquired via AppSumo, to generate B2B leads. While initial results were mixed, the speaker highlights the software's ability to automate lead extraction, connection requests, and follow-up messaging without the burden of a monthly subscription.
I just finished a 10 day test using AI to automate LinkedIn outreach and the
results were mixed,
but I will show you the exact numbers of what I did and how you also could use
AI on LinkedIn. Here's the thing with LinkedIn.
LinkedIn is probably the best platform for business to business leads that there
is right now. Every business owner, marketing manager,
decision maker is on LinkedIn. Personally,
I was not really utilizing it not because I didn't want to,
but just because I'm very busy. I've got a lot of stuff going on.
I've got my YouTube channel. I've got, you know, the apps that I'm building.
I've got my local web design business, family stuff.
I just did not have time to add on something new and I looked at tools for
automated LinkedIn outreach, but they were all like 50, 80,
a hundred dollars a month and I was like, ah,
I really don't want to add another monthly bill to my bills.
Let me know in the comments who's tired of monthly bills.
I pay for so much software. It's ridiculous,
but that's where Sendpilot comes in. Sendpilot was on AppSumo,
which as you know, has lifetime deals.
So instead of just paying monthly for the rest of your life, you pay one time,
you get access to the software forever. And honestly,
that's why I tried Sendpilot was because I could pay one time,
no more monthly bill and I get to use it.
So Sendpilot is LinkedIn automation software.
It can find you leads based on what criteria you put in. Then it can connect.
It automatically sends connections to those people.
And then when they accept the connections,
it'll send them a message about whatever it is you're looking to connect about.
So first step in this process is extracting leads. But here's the key.
You need to think like you're building a list for a wedding,
not a mass email blast. So you can search by location. You know,
I did Lincoln, Omaha. Then you can search by job title.
You can search by company size industry.
So for my web design business where I build websites for local companies,
get Lincoln local.com. You can check it out. If you're needing website,
let me know. But I said, find me just Lincoln, Omaha business owners.
So in right off the bat found 123 of them right away.
So then after your leads, you can set up a campaign.
So you can kind of see how this workflow works,
but you send a connection request. If they accept it,
then you wait and you send them a message and then you send them another
message. And that's basically the campaign that I have worked out here for them.
So, and I just sent kind of a generic message.
I might tweak this to see if I get better results, but I just said, Hey,
thanks for connecting. Here's what I do. Are you interested in something like
that? Then after four days, I just send them kind of a follow-up message.
So again, I think I could do probably do a better job with this.
I think when I do my next campaign,
I'll probably do a shorter message to start with. So, and you can set delays.
You can say, you know what time, right?
You don't want to be sending messages at 2am in the morning.
That's redundant 2am.
I turned off messages on Saturdays and Sundays that people aren't in work mode
at those times. So, and this first campaign so far,
I've sent 108 connections, seven were accepted,
which that's actually probably about what I would have expected.
You're just sending random connections to people,
but I messaged those people and I got one reply back. So again,
I set up this campaign, ran it, and I got a connection.
I got somebody who was like, Hey, yeah, I'm interested in this.
So I'm going to try another campaign,
but this time I'm going to focus a little bit more, you know,
saying just Lincoln,
Omaha business owners is like just yell yelling at the mall or something like
that. I'm going to focus on restaurants, salons, dentists,
and contractors is going to be my next try.
I'm going to try a shorter message and like, and subscribe.
If you want to see part two to see how this second campaign goes.
I also did one other campaign where I'm always looking for YouTube co-labs and
just, you know,
see what AI companies are out there and what tools I can go review.
So I did the same thing.
I went and found AI and SAS companies who have AI tools that they
might want me to review. So found 310 leads so far,
just sent 37 connection requests. I just started this one two were accepted.
So I sent those two messages. I haven't heard anything back yet,
but very similar sequence, but I'm excited. I'm going to keep trying this.
I'm going to try a couple different strategies.
So let me know if you want a part two where you see how these new strategies I
put together work out.
One thing I do want to mention too, is they have an API.
So you guys know my bot setup where I have just tons of bots.
I'm actually today going to hook in send pilot with my existing
bots so I can tell them, Hey, go start a campaign on send pilot to do this.
So that'll speed this up quite a bit. I can do a whole bunch of different tests.
And then if people reply,
they're automatically added to my CRM through my,
my AI setup that I have going on. So beyond that, you can also,
they have a content assistant for you to post on LinkedIn.
If you want to grow your LinkedIn account and you're following there,
they also have inbound automations. I don't know about you.
I get about, I'd say 10 LinkedIn DMs a day.
I know I'm a little bit more public, so I get that.
But that's the next thing I want to do is set up an automation.
So when people DM in or they comment on my posts,
I can automatically handle that again,
because I just don't have time to go manually do it. I've wanted LinkedIn.
I know I'm missing out on opportunities because I don't have a good LinkedIn
strategy. So send pilot is helping put that together.
But where I really think this is a win is that it's on app sumo.
I absolutely love app sumo.
I absolutely love app sumo got to work in a dad joke every now and then.
But again, I don't know that this is something I want to pay for monthly.
I just have so many tools. I'm paying so much monthly for so many things,
but with app sumo, instead of paying $79 a month or two 39 a month,
some of the other tools I looked at it,
there was some there's like $500 a month basically to do this exact same thing
on app sumo. You can do a one time $69 payment.
You can get on their higher plans for a bit more,
but it's one time and you get lifetime access.
It's still refundable for up to 60 days. So if you decide you don't like it,
you can get your money back. But this makes it a no brainer for me.
So that's where we're at. After just a few days,
I'm excited to see what I can do with this again, like, and subscribe.
But let me know in the comments if you want to see a part two,
I'll set up a new campaign and we'll see results after, you know,
a couple of weeks of doing this. But if you are not utilizing linked in,
you should be check out app sumo. You can do it for very, very cheap.
And shout out to app sumo.
I love just even looking on their homepage and just seeing, Hey,
what can I get for a one time payment?
So my software used to be quite everything moved to this monthly payment stuff.
So appreciate you guys very much.
I love that I can review all these tools and just kind of record what I'm doing.
So appreciate you guys watching.
I can't do what I do unless you guys watch you are way more important to the
James Pelton channel than I am. So appreciate you guys very much.
God bless you all and have a great rest of your day.
