A Disney Alaska cruise has one day everything else builds toward: Glacier Day — and honestly, we think it might be the whole reason to book the Disney Wonder in the first place.
Every Disney cruise has a "this is the moment" day, and on an Alaska sailing this is it. Up on deck you get photos with Mickey Mouse and friends in their Alaska-exclusive outfits with the landscape behind them, while the Disney Wonder sails through Endicott Arm to get up close to Dawes Glacier.
Then we climbed onto a tiny expedition boat — the Glacier Explorer — to get closer than the Wonder can go, and that's where the whole day changed. A glacier calving right off the bow, and a "Glacier-rita," the most ridiculous drink we've had all trip (yes, that's a real piece of glacier ice in there — we explain).
The Disney magic keeps going with the Frozen day-at-sea experiences the Wonder runs on Alaska sailings: the deck sing-along party and a special Frozen dinner. We'll let you judge whether the theming actually lands or just coasts on the movie.
So the big question we keep coming back to: is Glacier Day really worth the entire cruise? Come find out with us in this Disney Cruise Line Alaska vlog.

Experience \"Glacier Day\" aboard the Disney Wonder in Alaska, where Disney magic meets the rugged beauty of the Chatham Strait. Guests enjoy exclusive character meet-and-greets in themed attire, breathtaking wildlife sightings, and specialized \"Frozen\" events, all while navigating through stunning landscapes of icebergs and snow-capped mountains.
We've done a lot of Disney cruises and every one of them has a this is the moment day.
On an Alaska sailing, that day is Glacier Day.
Where else are you getting this Mickey and his yellow fishing raincoat?
How you doing?
Glacier off the bow of the ship and the most ridiculous drink we've had all trip.
Yeah, that's a real chunk of glacier in there.
We'll explain.
And the cool thing is the Disney Wonder gets you really close to the glacier
but we boarded a tiny boat to get even closer and that's when the day completely changed.
Wow.
So the big question is, is Glacier Day actually the whole reason to book this cruise?
Let's find out.
Come with us on this adventure.
Good morning.
It is Glacier Day here on the Disney Wonder Cruise Ship.
We finally reached the Chatham Strait.
So you can see the waters are a lot more calm than they have been previous days.
We're in the inside strait and I am up at 7 30 a.m in the morning
to meet some exclusive Disney characters in their exclusive Alaska outfits on the pool deck.
And there's already a rather pretty big line.
I would say probably 20 people.
And there's now a guy with a cart selling hot chocolate.
You can also get it with alcohol and stuff added.
There's also coffee.
So I got myself some hot chocolate and this mug which is not quite Alaska themed.
Maybe it is.
I guess it is because the cruise ship is going through some snowy passages.
The important part for Kitra is that there's some chipmunks on there
but I'm excited to get something warm in me.
That was hot.
Scolding hot.
It feels so good.
It is cold out here.
I should mention you can go down one deck and get some hot chocolate for free
but it's in the small cups and I really wanted something I could like hold and get warm.
What do we see?
Dolphins?
Is that a museum?
Yeah.
That's incredible.
All you have to do is wake up early and get in line for Mickey Mouse
and then you'll see some wildlife.
I don't normally wake up this early.
We got up so early today.
I need my coffee but I'm excited to meet Mickey.
Mickey!
Oh my gosh!
I've waited so long to see you in this classic outfit.
So cute!
Oh hey Mickey!
How you doing?
This outfit's awesome.
I love it.
One, two, three.
Perfect.
Thank you so much.
Hi Mickey.
Good to see you.
Hi Mickey.
Okay so I gotta say seeing fisherman Mickey here in Alaska bright and early just woke me up.
Who needs coffee when you can meet Mickey?
I love his bucket hat.
Why don't they sell that?
Iconic.
Here's our photo.
Oh he took a bunch.
Is it worth getting up this early?
Okay so Mickey and the friends I meet multiple times per day
but I feel like it was worth it to get up super early to be like one of the first people to meet
Mickey because like we've already seen wildlife.
We've met Mickey.
I feel like we've done so much and it's only like 8 30.
And now with Mickey done we're gonna head to the port side of the ship to try to meet Minnie.
Her line seems like almost as long as Mickey's.
It's insane.
It's like going along the entire side of the ship.
Where are they?
Waiting for Minnie and I thought what I saw was a log but it turned out it was a brown seal.
I think I just had PTSD from all the logs that we saw the other day.
So the interesting thing about meeting the characters up on deck,
yes you have to wait a long time but it gives you time to like look at the ocean
and you end up seeing a lot of wildlife.
Now seeing it and catching it on camera are two different things.
It's a lot harder to like capture it on camera but it's cool to see it in person.
I think we see a whale out there.
Yeah I saw it.
What is it?
It's like a little spout or something.
Oh I see something.
Maybe that's his fin.
Do you think it's an orca?
Donald's meeting and greeting over there but we're all the way over here.
I know I love his outfit.
He looks so he looks like I guess like a lumberjack maybe or what do you think?
Something like that.
Of course.
We'll have to meet him later hopefully.
Hopefully.
Fingers crossed.
My main concern is Mickey, Minnie and then hopefully Chippendale.
Anyone else is just a bonus.
Yeah.
So good to see you.
Love your outfit.
It's so cold out here.
I got ears to match you.
Style icon.
I love her outfit so much.
I'm wearing her ears.
Oh my gosh so cute.
Love it.
These photos are so worth it.
I know like waiting for characters like we waited an hour for Mickey,
probably a half an hour for Minnie.
That's a long time.
It's not something we would normally do but what else are you gonna get this photo?
It's like you have mountains in the background.
You have literally whales.
This is like honestly what memories are made of.
So now we're gonna head to Cabana's because today is one of the two days that they have
Mickey churro waffles.
So not only does it pay to get up early, you see dolphins, you see whales, you see seals,
you see Mickey and Minnie and now we get to eat churro waffles.
I mean doesn't get any better and you got hot chocolate.
This is the best morning of all time.
So we grabbed ourselves some churro Mickey waffles and we're seated outside with the
wake of the ship behind us.
Does it get better than this?
I don't know.
This is pretty good.
Let's find out.
The answer is it doesn't get any better than this.
I mean it would be better if we saw like a pot of orcas or something.
I mean we just did so.
But Mickey churro waffles, Ordinary Adventure Galaxy,
they're so like crispy and crunchy on the outside.
Inside's like so soft.
Except I don't agree with you.
I don't know why you put syrup on it.
They don't need it.
I don't know.
I feel like last time we had it on the Disney Adventure, they weren't good
and I kind of reasoned to myself maybe it was because they were dry.
Yeah.
But I love them with syrup because in the syrup it like makes them a little bit softer.
Yeah.
Amazing.
Oh my god.
I only got three.
I should have got way more.
I have this theory that eating Mickey shaped things tastes better.
It's not just because it's Disney and the nostalgia.
It's the surface area.
So a churro Mickey waffle, the best part is the outside, right?
So you get more outside because of the ears and the way it's laid out.
It's not just like you know our relation to the franchise and the company that it was built.
It's actually the shape of it makes it better than like a normal waffle which is just square.
You got less surface area.
I was gonna say what ears?
This one doesn't seem to...
Well you gotta eat the ears first.
Yeah this one seems to be missing his ears.
I don't know what happened there.
Came up to us and asked for our photo.
I'm not even sure if they know what our YouTube channel is.
One of them was like are you guys filming for National Geographic?
And I was like no.
And he's like well you should take...
You should film the mountains because they look like a Bob Ross painting in real life.
I was like you're right they do.
I feel like the kids these days know who Bob Ross is.
Or National Geographic.
I was like if we were filming for National Geographic we'd be able to film the whales
but I was like I couldn't get it on camera so National Geographic would not hire us.
So we're back on deck.
This time we're meeting Daisy.
There's a long line already.
And it's funny how yesterday on the sea day there was nobody on the top deck
and today it feels like the entire ship is out here.
To be fair yesterday was windy and cold because we're at sea.
Today we're in a strait and it's calm waters so it's like not as crazy.
Obviously all the characters are out and the scenery is a lot more amazing on Glacier Day.
So it makes sense.
But it's just funny seeing the entire ship out here having fun.
I will say this the lines for meet and greets move really fast
because they limit it to one photo per family or group.
So you can't split it up and get one photo with every one of your kids or something like that.
And because of that they crank through all the people.
And basically if you're in line before the end of the 10 minutes the character is supposed to be out
you're going to get your photo.
So say Daisy is meeting at 10 a.m. by 10.10 they close the line.
But if you're in line anytime before 10.10 you're good.
So we just got to meet Daisy.
Unfortunately for whatever reason we forgot to hit record on the camera.
But I just wanted to say I love her outfit.
I love her UGG boots.
I literally have that same pair and I almost brought them on this trip.
But then I was afraid it was going to be raining the whole time and I didn't want to ruin them.
But style icon looking fabulous in Alaska.
I love it.
One thing that's crazy about cruising to Alaska during the summer
is it's still bright up there until the late hours of the night.
Your body has no idea what's happening.
Mine was convinced it was perpetually 2 p.m. and I should be out doing activities.
Thankfully I came prepared because I always keep in my travel bag my Manta sleep mask.
Thanks to Manta sleep for sponsoring this portion of today's video.
Here's what I love about the mask.
It's the eye cups.
They don't actually touch your eyes.
There's no pressure.
You can blink freely in there.
It's like a little private screening room for your eyeballs.
It's genuinely 100% blackout and it's so comfortable.
The material is so like well ventilated and breathable.
I have two of these.
I have one for our travel bag and one for at home.
The strap adjusts to fit your head so it stays put whether I'm in a cruise cabin
or flying on a red eye flight.
We both wear it to bed every single night which sounds like a bit but it's actually true.
We highly recommend them.

Thanks to Manta sleep and now back to our adventure.
So right now we're heading to deck nine for the frozen sing-along celebration
and I believe this is supposed to be at night.
This is supposed to be in place of pirate night but they've been trying to do it at night
and then it gets canceled because of weather so they've moved it to the daytime
so they could happen outside in the way it's supposed to
while you're going through like the mountains and stuff like that so that's kind of cool.
Welcome to this very special day.
It's special because for the first time in forever Elsa and I are celebrating the Arendelle Festival.
That was fun.
They basically sang the biggest hit songs from the movies.
They had storytellers that told the story in a funny way.
If you've ever been to Hollywood Studios it's basically the show that you see there.
The coolest part was at the end when actually Elsa made it snow on board.
It was you know snow but it was a magical moment.
So while we're waiting in line for Goofy we noticed off in the distance
there's actually a glacier up in the mountains.
It's not touching the ocean but it's so trippy to look at because like
it hurt almost hurts my eyes like it looks fake.
Like it looks like it blends in with the sky and the snow.
You can kind of see it over there.
I literally wouldn't have noticed that if somebody else pointed it out.
That's really cool.
It is crazy to be that close.
Wow that's cool.
Yeah we just saw a whale too.
Yeah we just saw a whale tail and it was so beautiful to see but we weren't quick enough
because apparently once you see the tail they dive down for five to ten minutes
and you don't see them again or you don't know where they're gonna pop back up.
But we saw it with our eyes.
That's like a bucket list.
I can't believe I got to see that.
So we just met Goofy and I love his outfit.
It's almost like he's prepared to go hiking through the snow-capped mountains right over here.
Or maybe even skiing.
We don't want Goofy skiing.
You're ready to go hiking huh?
Goofy you're gonna go skiing later?
But I want to give you a pro tip.
We did a lot of research for this trip and everybody said get in line early for the characters.
There's gonna be long lines for Mickey and Minnie.
You want to get up at like seven in the morning.
I'm not sure if that's necessarily true or the better option
because later in Glacier Day you get more scenic views
so you can get a photo of Goofy in front of like a snow-capped mountain or something like that.
Where our photo with Mickey earlier is still an amazing photo but there's there's no mountain.
Do you know what I mean?
So like on the other hand it could rain on your Glacier Day
and if you don't get up early you could miss out on a photo on the deck
that could move everything inside.
So we didn't want to chance it so we got up so early.
But I just wanted to help anybody that's going to go on a Disney cruise in Alaska
know that you could get some cooler photos later in the day if it doesn't rain.
So we decided to make our way up to the very front of the ship
and that seems like that's where a lot of the people are
and it's probably because that's where you're going to find
fresh chocolate chip cookies and a hot chocolate complimentary.
That is so awesome.
I was not I was expecting hot chocolate but not cookies.
So don't judge me I got three of them okay.
Hot chocolate just tastes better when you're in Alaska, right?
So the reason why everybody is in the front of the ship is we're going forward
and we're going to be arriving close to the glacier pretty soon.
So everybody wants to see the glacier
but I've spotted the first like little piece of ice floating in the water over there.
Iceberg straight ahead.
Not yet.
Straight ahead?
I mean that's technically true.
Iceberg.
For lunch we made our way over to Pete's Boiler Bites.
This is on the pool deck.
While we were up on the upper deck I kept getting whiffs of like french fries
and deep fried foods and it made me hungry.
But I decided to get myself a chicken shawarma with a bunch of different fixings on it.
And I gotta say he like stuffed this.
It is so heavy.
Iceberg.
Straight ahead or straight to the strip behind me.
Just casually eating my chicken shawarma going by icebergs like no big deal.
Have you ever seen one before in real life?
I haven't.
I don't think so.
Crazy thing to me about icebergs is you only see like one percent of it.
The rest is underwater.
That's why they say it's the tip of the iceberg.
I'm saying the tip of iceberg.
Just the tip of the iceberg.
We haven't even made it to the glacier yet.
This is just the tip of the iceberg.
It's crazy because we just saw like one iceberg and now there's like 10.
And then up there there's like 20.
They're like multiplying.
I heard some little kid say that he saw some seals on one of the icebergs but I don't see it.
Donald, you're not swimming in that water, are you?
No.
Too cold for Donald.
Can we get a photo?
Yes.
Thank you, Donald.
So I had to make a really tough decision.
Donald and Chippendale were meeting at the same time.
And the only reason I chose Donald besides the fact that he's number one.
Love him.
Is because Chippendale, they don't have any special Alaskan outfits.
They're El Natural.
They should have hats or something.
Yeah, but I guess it makes sense because they're chipmunks and they're like out in nature.
So they're naked.
But we chose Donald because he has this cute little like flannel outfit.
And our photos turned out so good.
But I am kind of bummed that we didn't get to meet Chippendale
because their backdrop was like the whole like trees and the forest.
It looked really cool too.
We'll see him on the ship later.
That's true.
So we're sitting here watching the icebergs go by in the water.
And the water has this like milky jade color.
I'm not sure if it shows up on camera.
But it's unlike anything I've ever seen before.
So I looked it up.
Apparently that's caused by something called glacier flour.
Which is caused by the glaciers going over the bedrock.
It grinds it down and turns into this fine powder that's smaller than sand.
And it basically floats in the water.
It reflects the light in a way that makes it like more blue.
And the more milky the water is, the more glacier flour is in the water.
Oh my god.
We're going by this like waterfall right now.
This is insane.
Back at the front of the ship.
And the views here are incredible.
But the wind is insane.
You can feel the cold coming from the icebergs and the glacier that's coming up.
What was the wind?
My jacket couldn't even handle it.
We were just walking by Pluto.
And he had like no line.
And who could pass up these views with Pluto?
These views in the background.
Come on.
Yeah, good to see you.
Oh, high five.
And on Glacier Day, come on.
Oh, look at your collar.
I love your collar.
You left Pluto hanging, man.
He was like trying to give you a high five.
I thought he was waving hi.
I was...
Oh my god.
What?
Look at this.
This is fake.
How can this ship navigate like through this tiny corridor?
Like major props to Captain Mini right now.
She's doing a great job.
But look at this.
This doesn't look real.
What is happening?
Are you kidding me?
Is this real life?
We just keep turning around like in every direction.
It's so beautiful.
Peter's like, look at the waterfall on this side.
I was like, yeah, did you see the waterfall on that side?
It started to rain by the way, but I don't even care.
I just thought it was rain, but it's like little pieces of ice.
Is it snowing right now?
Is it snow or is it hail?
I think it might be hail or it's slush.
It's like in between rain and snow because it's like staying.
We just turned a corner and we can finally see like our end destination, the glacier.
Wow.
I can't believe we're here.
This is even better than I thought it was going to be.
This might be my favorite cruise we've ever done.
I love it.
This one is so loud that we could hear it from our room.
Wow.
This is insane.
Like literally insane.
It's so pretty.
It's, I don't know, I feel like we've cruised on so many cruise ships,
yet usually our destinations are like, it's nothing like this.
This is like unlike anything.
This truly is like one of my favorite cruises that we've ever done.
I just think because it's so different, you know?
It's so beautiful.
By the way, the glacier is right there.
We're getting pretty close.
I'm really curious how close we're actually going to get to the glacier
because I've heard the ship gets within three to five miles from the glacier,
depending on like how many icebergs are in the water.
Like the captain has to determine like safety,
but we booked this excursion called the Glacier Explorer
and you basically get on a boat off of this ship
and get to go within like a half mile of the glacier.
And I was told basically, you'll see the glacier if you're on the ship,
but you don't really get close to it unless you book this excursion.
You're like, we had to be up at midnight when it went on sale to like get it
because like so many people want this and there's only a certain amount of slots.
Like not everybody on the ship can go on it.
I feel like it's going to be even colder the closer we get to the glacier,
but they serve Glacieritas, so that'll be fun.
Yeah, I can't wait to show you that.
Oh, that's cool.
They actually have a live feed of the front of the ship on the Funnel Vision.
As you can see, it's now turned to rain.
So they've moved the meet and greets indoors
like Daisy is meeting and greeting in the gazebo right below the Funnel Vision.
In case you're wondering how close you get to the glacier on the ship,
this is what it looks like.
You can definitely see it.
I wouldn't be disappointed if I didn't get the Glacier Explorer,
but you definitely are a ways away.
With it pouring down rain,
a lot of people have gone down to the running track and deck floor.
It's a cool place to hang out because you're closer to the water.
Everything looks bigger from down here and it's covered.
So pro tip, come down to the running track.
You don't have to just be on deck.
So the cool thing about this is it doesn't really matter what side of the ship you're on.
You're going to get a good view because they do a full 360 turn.
So everybody gets a chance to see it.
So you don't need to like hog up a place by the rail.
We saw some people who like laid down blankets to like claim their space.
And I'm like, you don't need to do that.
You can literally see it from anywhere on the ship.
Yeah, right now we're on the side of the ship and there's the glacier.
How crazy is it that we got off this big ship and now we're on a small boat?
I know, this is about to be so much fun.
Oh my god, there it is.
This is already pretty amazing and I think worth it.
We haven't even gone anywhere yet, but this is worth it.
It's cool to see the ship from this perspective.
And like everybody's looking at us like we're one of the whales.
And they're like, oh my god, look at them.
And we're like, bye.
Oh my god, look at how many icebergs there are now that we're getting closer to the glacier.
This is insane.
Wow.
We saw another seal.
It was like staring at us.
It's like, what are you guys doing?
I thought for sure when the Disney Wonder pulled up to the glacier.
I'm like, did we waste our money on this glacier?
Yeah, because it got pretty close.
But nothing can prepare you to get this close.
It really does take your breath away.
By the way, look at how far away our ship is.
Yeah, it's really far away.
We're really close.
That's crazy.
It is so beautiful up close.
All the deep blue colors.
Wow.
They said that hopefully we'll get to see what they call calve.
Calve?
Calve.
Yeah, calve, which is when a big chunk of ice breaks off into the water.
So hopefully that happens.
Yeah, apparently you hear it before you see it.
Yeah, so fingers crossed.
Oh, I want it right over there.
It's funny how some of it looks dirty.
But other parts of it look like Superman's Fortress of Solitude.
Where the Game of Thrones, the ice wall in Game of Thrones.
Pop culture references or it doesn't exist?
Try and see if it happens again.
There it goes.
That was awesome.
That was cool.
So we caught one.
It just calved a few times, but we finally got it on film.
That corner, the left-hand corner is a hot corner.
It's just begging to drop off.
Yeah, they say when it's dark blue, it's ready to go.
Dark blue, it's about ready to go.
So there's like a big chunk over there that could go at any second.
But we saw three separate ones.
The last one was pretty big.
That was exciting.
Is the ice really from...
It is really, yeah.
It really is.
We scooped it out of the water with a big fishing net and then it gets chopped up.
Which is crazy.
I agree with you.
I also thought they were kidding my first time out here
until I was the one scooping and chopping the ice.
And that was when I learned that they weren't kidding and this is actually real.
That's awesome.
Cheers.
So one of the biggest perks about doing this tour is I have a Glacierita
where they actually scoop up some of the glacier ice,
crack it open and then make a margarita.
But what I love is it literally looks like the glacier.
Like it looks like that deep blue, teal blue color.
And I love how it has like the jagged edges and stuff.
That's cool.
Tastes like tequila.
But what does the glacier taste like?
Cold.
It makes it extra cold.
This is like the coldest margarita I've ever had in my life.
This is such a good idea.
And my nails kind of match the glacier as well.
How many kids are us?
Good, a five out of five.
We're on a freaking boat next to a glacier drinking Glacieritas.
Like of course that's a five.
Okay, I'm about to drink the Glacierita in front of a glacier.
I actually ate some of the ice.
Five out of five beaters.
For the experience alone.
Ordinary adventure.
Yeah.
Cheers.
We decided to go inside because it's kind of cold and wet out there.
Yeah, I wanted to say though, I almost forgot.
Another thing that this looks like is Elsa's ice castle, obviously.
I just wanted to say that before I forgot.
But yeah.
Yay, this is fun.
So here's one of the pieces of ice and I was looking at it
and it actually is a piece of glacier
because you can actually see like pieces of dirt inside there.
This is from the ice age.
I saw literally little pieces of dirt inside there.
Yeah, if I get sick later, we know why.
I forgot to mention when we were upstairs,
we got some photos in front of the glacier.
All right, ladies and gentlemen,
we want to save time in case we see some really cool wildlife
or something like that on the way out of Indica Arm.
That way we can stop and hang out with that too.
The glacier has been absolutely wonderful for us today.
Lots of cows in there, especially in that cave on that left-hand side.
So I've watched tons of videos
and I've seen tons of photos of the Dawes Glacier.
And honestly, I thought it was going to be cool,
like whatever, like obviously seeing a glacier is a once in a lifetime thing.
But a lot of the videos and photos that I saw,
it looked really dirty, like it had a lot of smut on it.
And I just got to say, it is beautiful.
It is so gorgeous, especially when you get this close to it.
I'm so happy that we did this excursion.
It was a little bit expensive.
But honestly, I think it was worth it because I mean, we got really close
and that was incredible.
It was so pretty.
There's so many deep blue colors.
So just goes to show, don't judge a book by its cover, OK?
She's beautiful and I love her.
So for the most part, you won't see whales this far into the Indica Arm.
They can't see through a lot of this stuff.
They have a hard time navigating through it,
which is why for the most part, the largest marine mammal that we have
when we're in the arm is going to be the harbor seals.
As you may have noticed, when they swim, they poke their heads out of the water.
So they look like pit bulls.
So when they swim, they look like little dogs.
But they have an easier time seeing where the ice is.
They can navigate around it.
But on top of that, there's quite a few babies up on that ice as well.
The orcas can't come in here to eat them.
So when they're on top of the ice and they're having their babies up there,
they're resting, they're relaxing,
they know that they're not at risk for predators coming out here and eating them.
Look at this waterfall.
This is incredible.
Well, that really took my breath away.
We were sitting inside for a while and we're like, let's go back outside.
It's not raining.
Holy crap.
The Glacier Explorer doesn't just go to the glacier.
It also takes you down some pathways that are too small
for the Disney Wonder to actually go down.
And one of them is for this waterfall.
So this is actually a really long excursion on the boat.
They kind of drive you all around.
And we just went to that waterfall
and we've been driving for like another like 30 minutes since then.
And like me and Peter were both kind of like,
okay, this is kind of, you know, it doesn't need to be this long.
And then we came across some bears.
We found three little bears hanging out by the shoreline.
And they were just chilling there.
And it's so funny because like they're like,
okay, everybody be really quiet.
And like nobody was making a peep.
Like everyone was just like,
Peter got down like full like National Geographic wildlife photographer mode.
Like on one knee got the shot for us.
I tried, mine was too shaky.
It is so hard when you're on a boat and you have a zoom lens like this.
Any little movement shakes around.
So I did the best I could.
But we saw three bears and they were like looking at us.
They totally saw us.
They were so cute.
One of them had like a big hump on its back.
So I don't know what that was about.
But they were just chilling, little family of bears.
I tried to film it because I forgot to bring my binoculars.
So I was using the camera kind of as binoculars.
But it was, my footage was not great.
I didn't get, you know, I didn't go down on one knee like Peter did to get the shot.
But yeah, that was really cool.
Bye bears.
So we just got back on board.
Let's see if we have a towel.
We have a bear.
How fitting.
I know.
What are the odds of that?
We just saw three cute little bears and we got a bear in our room.
They followed us back.
So tonight we're eating dinner in Animator's Palette.
But we're not having the traditional Animator's Palette menu or show.
Because it's Glacier Day.
We have a special Frozen themed dinner menu.
And the whole restaurant has been themed to Frozen.
So all the screens are now windows into Arendelle.
And then the lighting's all like blue and iced up.
I kind of like that.
The menu itself is kind of a mix of what they serve at Arendelle on the Disney Wish.
And then a couple new items.
So we're gonna try a mix of both.
So for my appetizer, I decided to get the Duca Weaselton's Charcuterie Sampler.
This comes with a selection of charcuterie, knack broad, whatever that is.
And even has some mixed pickles.
And I remember Kitra got a charcuterie when we were at the Frozen restaurant on the Disney Wish.
And she hated it.
Yeah.
This looks totally different.
Yeah, this looks like a more traditional charcuterie board.
It looks pretty good, actually.
This is just okay.
It's not bad, but it's also not good at the same time.
The problem is we were at Paula last night and got their charcuterie, which is legendary.
It's incredible.
This just feels like they took some cold cuts out of the fridge and put them on a plate.
And the cheese is a little hard.
Again, it's fine.
It's three out of five beers.
Nothing special.
Perfect for the Duke of Weaselton.
The Duke of Weaseltown.
Weaselton!
Am I right?
Sure.
For my entree, I got Anna's Honey Mustard Marinated Salmon.
This comes with sauteed spinach, fingerling potatoes, and a sour cream sauce.
And this looks so good.
Yum.
Something that Disney does really well on Disney Cruise Line is the presentation.
Like, they always make the food look so elevated.
Look at that.
Do you think they caught this right outside?
No.
Oh, they caught it in Arendelle, sorry.
And then they flew it over here.
This is so good.
Whatever that sour cream sauce is,
mixed with the honey mustard seeds like marinated into the salmon,
just melts in your mouth.
This might be one of my new favorite, like, fish dishes on Disney Cruise Line.
Very impressed.
I give this like a 4.75 out of 5.
The only thing that can make it better is,
you know, obviously this is probably a frozen piece of salmon.
If it was fresh, they caught it right outside and put it on my plate, it would be even better.
And for my entree, I ended up getting Christophe's rosemary marinated strip loin.
This has crushed red blissed potatoes, onions, buttered green beans, and a cabernet jus.
The cabernet sauce that comes on this is very flavorful.
The meat is a little bit chewy, but it's great.
Potatoes are nice as well.
I'd give it a 4 out of 5 dinners.
Hey, Minnie.
So after dinner, we spotted Mickey and the gang meeting and greeting
in their Alaska exclusive outfits in the atrium.
If you don't care about those scenic backdrops, it's much shorter lines.
You can get autographs.
You can get multiple photos from multiple members of your crew.
You just don't get Alaska in the background.
I still can't get over that it's almost 10 p.m. and it is still light outside.
That is just so uniquely Alaska.
And yes, I am still on the lookout for whales.
Haven't seen any yet, but...
We saw one earlier today.
We did see one earlier today.
It was amazing and I want to see that again, but I haven't seen any and it's fine.
They're probably sleeping.
But yeah, this is just unreal.
Unreal.
We're like living in a painting right now.
My body is telling me I'm tired, but looking out there, I'm like...
I'm so confused.
I know.
I'm so tired, but I'm like, but it's still light out.
I should stay up.
But I think we might actually go to bed because we got up early today.
It's made all those characters.
Now I'm paying the price.
So I think it's safe to say that we both love going on an Alaskan cruise
and we'll definitely do that.
I am obsessed.
It was even better than I thought it was going to be.
I feel like we barely touched the tip of the iceberg and there's more to explore.
Question is, if we go back, will we go back on Disney?
Because Disney has so many cool touches like, you know,
Frozen Day at Sea, the Glacier Day, meeting all those characters.
You can't get that on another cruise line.
That said, you can go on another cruise line in Alaska for one half to one third of the price.
Yeah, unless we got another 50% off coupon, I feel like you really don't need to do Disney.
I'd like to explore different ports, different cruise lines to see how it's different.
Yeah, and it would be cool to have an actual casino on the ship.
So like when you have the downtime at sea, you could go play some slots.
But I definitely, I loved having a balcony.
So I think, unfortunately, if we ever did another Alaska cruise,
I would want to get a balcony again.
Yeah.
Anyways, if you want to see the rest of our cruise videos from this trip,
we'll put them right over there.
I want to say thank you to some of our Patreons.
That includes Julie, Josh, and Corinne.
Thank you guys so much.
Thanks for watching, everybody.
We'll see you on the next adventure.
