All right, futures mixed ahead of Thursday's open here. S&P futures higher by 0.21%. The Dow futures
actually in the red, but very close to unchanged, down 0.04%. And they are up off of their morning
lows. So we'll see if the Dow can actually go positive here and help out. The NASDAQ is leading
the way higher, plus 7.4%. And we might as well check in on oil. Oil futures, they're higher by
0.71% as well. So higher across the board, although minimally. Dow is a little bit negative,
but basically unchanged. We'll see if that changes here, either at the open or shortly before the
open. But now let's take a look at some cues from last session, as well as what we have going on
here today. Materials, real estate, and financial stocks led most S&P 500 sectors lower on Wednesday,
while information technology and energy shares bucked the trend to close higher,
as US markets broadly fell. US stock futures advanced on Thursday, as the Dow Jones,
NASDAQ, and S&P rose following Wednesday's mixed close. Again, Dow hanging on to red arrows,
but only minimally. After President Trump declared that the Iran ceasefire was over,
the US military launched additional strikes on Iran, aimed at weakening Tehran's ability to
threaten commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran responded with strikes against
US bases in Kuwait and Bahrain. Iran's parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagheer Ghalibaf, doubled down
on claims about Tehran controlling the Strait of Hormuz and said that the US still has not learned
that, quote, bullying, end quote, going back on commitments are no longer without consequences.
Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury bond yielded 4.56%, and the two-year bond was at 4.19%.
The CME Group's FedWatch tool projections show that the markets are pricing a 72.7% likelihood
that the Federal Reserve leaves the current interest rates unchanged during the July meeting.
Now, I've got several stocks in focus here for you today. The first one is going to be Levi. This
is one of our earnings reports from yesterday. Levi Strauss, or ticker LEVI, tumbled 6.07%
in the pre-market on Thursday despite posting better-than-expected earnings for the second
quarter and raising its fiscal year 2026 guidance. The next stock on our list is going to be Honeywell,
ticker HON. It was 0.03% lower after raising its fiscal year 2026 adjusted earnings guidance
following a one-for-two reverse stock split. The next stock on our list is AZZ. That's A-Z-Z.
It jumped 8.35% after it reported record quarterly sales in both segments and raised fiscal year
2027 guidance. The next stock on our list is Ionis Pharmaceuticals, and the ticker is IONS.
It slipped 13.76% as its phase three T-Transform trial of aplantircin in adults
with amyloid cardiopathy missed its primary endpoint. I'm sorry. The medical
words are just insane. The next stock on our list here is going to be WD-40. The ticker is WDFC.
It was unchanged as analysts expected to report earnings of 156 per share
on revenue of 172.79 million after the closing bell today.
