Good afternoon! Today is Friday, May 1st, and I am here with this 1970 Volkswagen Beetle.
In this video, I'm going to take us around the exterior and interior of the car and touch on a
few points of its history. So first off, this is a nicely documented example. We have records going
back to the original owner, which was a couple in the D.C. area, and then from there the car
moved north to Cambridge, Mass., in the 80s and has been in New Hampshire since the early 2000s.
Since the current owner acquired the car in 2023, it's received a host of work,
including a new convertible top inclusive of the frame and headliner. I'll give a look at
the top here, which is in practically new condition. And on the mechanical front,
the car has new tires as of last summer, a new muffler in 2023, and a new distributor rotor and
belt also in 2023. We have some touch-up paint in the lower left of the windshield, and we did do a
one-step polish and prep for the sale, so that's improved the paint condition. The car was repainted
in 1994, so this would be a 32-year-old paint job we are looking at. Probably the worst area on the
car cosmetically is here on the passenger front fender, where we have two cracks in the paint.
Now there is a crack in this driver's side taillight. All the lights and horn and all
that works on this car, making it a nice fun driver for the season ahead.
And so that about rounds out our exterior tour. Next, I'll put the top down and we'll get a look
inside. Moving into part two, I'll start by getting a look at the underside of this new
convertible top. It also came with a new top boot, which I have in the back seat here.
And the carpets were replaced under previous ownership, so these are all in pretty nice shape
here. Now one thing to point out is this AM FM radio does not work. That about rounds out our
tour of this 1970 Beetle. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with any questions, either via
