AI GeneratedThe video documents day two of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, highlighting a high-performance experience with Guntherwerks and a tour of luxury automotive showcases. The host experiences a thrilling hill climb in the F26, explores a wide array of concept and electric hypercars, and discusses new additions to their personal Ferrari collection.
It is day two of Goodwood. And it's another day of sun. I think it's going to be over 30 degrees
Celsius. Again, we are going to absolutely swelter, but we have another introduction
to the collection to talk about. Yeah, I'm so excited. Something a lot of you have been asking
for a very long time. There is a bit of a twist and we will get to that a little bit later on,
but before we get to that, I've actually got a rather crazy hill climb run with the guys
right here at Guntherworks. I think in the F26, which is actually over there in the first glance
paddock in front of us. But to keep a long story short, I'm going to be chauffeured up this famous
hill. We're both going for a run. We're both going for a run. But I'm about to be driven up by Liam
Lawson, which is going to be epic because a run at the Goodwood Hill Climb with a current F1 driver
is just cool. And Liam's a really nice guy. He's actually been to visit the museum before.
So we need to get our bearings. Yeah. Get ready for a first bit of action. Have a little chat
with Liam. We'll find out what you're going in. And then we've got a car to talk about and some
other new cars that we didn't take a look at yesterday to find as well. It's going to be busy.
Very busy. Before all of the action gets underway, this is the car in question. Guntherworks F26.
Nice. 993 based, 1000 horsepower. Well, 880 horsepower when it's running on regular gas,
1000 on E85. Wow. I just said gas, I should say petrol. Yeah. But obviously it only weighs
2,700 pounds, which is like 1250 kilos or something. Part of the weight ratio on that
one is nice. Just a bit. Just a bit. I'm expecting it to feel deathly fast. Yeah. Because you combine
all of that as well with a six speed manual. Oh, fun. With Liam at the wheel. We're going to have
more of a talk about it shortly. But firstly, I need to go get signed on. And while I would love
to have something like this in the collection. Me too. Me too. Unfortunately, we'd be pushing
the boat out budget wise a little bit on that day, although I did go and visit. We both went
to visit Guntherworks, which was awesome. So let's do all our sign on stuff and figure out where
we're all going for this. Morning Jono. Good morning. Just in time. Just in time. Well,
Liam's I think about 15 minutes away or something. The car is ready. I've just been sorting out
cameras because I had a few wedged in my bag. My helmet bag. Your helmet bag, yeah. Thanks
Hi Mark. Right. Yeah, I'm going to go put this bag over at the hospitality and gear up. We found
trouble. No, I found you actually. Okay. Yeah. How's it going? It's good, Joe. It's good. What
are you going up the hill in? I'm going up the hill in a BMW M2. I know that's going to be a
massive surprise to you with the new M Performance track kit on it. Okay. So looking forward to that.
Why are you laughing? Because it's a BMW. You in a BMW M car is like,
could you get more cliche? Well, I know. What can I say? What are you, what are you going up in?
The Guntherworks F26. Wow. Which is the 1000 horsepower 903. So you say I'm predictable.
It's like with you, it's like, it has to be 1000 horsepower more. But this one's quite cool
because my driver is Liam Lawson. Oh, that is very cool. Yeah. Nice. Oh, well, I'm going on.
There we go. Incredibly comfortable. And I'm sure it has seat ventilation. Oh yes. Yes. I'm
looking forward to the air conditioning. Have fun guys. It's usually getting out of the rain,
but a 993 should have AC. Fingers crossed. You got Liam Lawson to make up for it. Yeah, true.
I'll be fine. Yeah. I'll just be like a sweaty mess at the end. Well, I will be anyway, because
I think he'll probably have the brief to terrify me. Yes, quite enjoyable. Good. It'll be fun.
Figured we should talk a little bit about the car then. Yeah. I'm about to experience something
incredibly fast with an incredible driver. Yep. Our good friend Liam. Yeah. So come on F26.
I know the basics. We've talked a little bit about them. 1000 horsepower, only 85,
incredibly lightweight manual. This is, is this the ultimate of Guntherworks? Is this the sort of,
it's the ultimate Guntherworks, at least for this year. Next year,
we'll probably try to top ourselves. But yeah, 1067 horsepower, just over 1200 kilos,
over 700 pound feet of torque, rear wheel drive. And it's got the most advanced aerodynamics that
we've ever done on a car. But this starts its life as a 993. Right. It's quite far detached
from that today. Yeah. Well, we have one right over there on the end of our booth, but it's,
we try to find the cheapest 993 available so that we're not, uh, you know, ruining a nicer 911.
Yeah. Makes sense. Makes sense. Then bodywork, carbon. Yeah. Own design. Obviously still has that
like, let's say familiarity, but heavily reworked. I mean, as I look around, there's an S-duct
through the front. There's just new everything. Yeah. It's got a S-duct on the front for downforce.
Everything is designed as, um, function over form. So engineering and performance is the driver.
It's not really the, uh, the looks, the looks are really the by-product of the performance
and engineering behind our cars. Hey Liam. Yeah. Hey Liam. How are you? We're good. We're just
having a bit of a tour around the car. Are you coming with me? I am coming with you. Am I your
victim? Apparently you know this guy, right? Are you excited? I am. I am. Can I click this on you?
Is that cool? I'll just put it up here if that's all right. We're all, we're all learning right now.
Right. So Liam's driven this car actually. Okay. Yeah. A couple of months ago. In the
streets of Newport beach. Yeah. Um, but this is a four liter twin turbo flat fan. We were the
first company to productionize flat fan on a road car. And because of the flex fuel system it has,
um, if you have access to E85, it goes from 900 something horsepower to 1067 horsepower.
And, um, there's actually more left there that we haven't pushed, but, uh, we wanted to maintain the
engine longevity because we have five year, a hundred thousand mile warranty on these cars.
It's crazy that you offer that a hundred thousand mile warranty on it.
That's bonkers. And I don't know if the camera got close enough to this. It's a work of art.
Like the engine bay is a work of art. So these are the, these are the charge pipes,
the carbon fabric charge pipes that we had. And we had so much pressure going through it.
We actually exploded six different versions until we got the correct lamination. Yeah. Yeah. So
everything is made in house with the exception of the engine. Uh, the cooling system is also
done and designed by us. So we do about 33% of the engine, but the entire car, steering wheel,
exhaust, headlights, carbon fiber, all of that is produced in-house at our Huntington beach factory.
Have you seen, have you seen where the turbos are? They're like, they're like,
somewhere down here. It's in the middle now. Oh yeah. You might have to zoom in the camera
in here, but turbos are literally hiding down in the bumper. So when you're up on it and they're
glowing red, you can see it from behind. So you've driven one, but you've driven it on the street or
yeah, I'm going to jump in. Well, he's getting comfortable. I just asked the question if he's
done a hill climb run here before. I've done it. I've done it. I've done it in a Formula One car.
No pressure at all. Caleb sent me the video yesterday of him driving. Yeah. He was,
he was pushing hard. He almost clipped my mirror. So you've got, you've got, you've got the, uh,
the decision to make. Do you really go for it or do you risk anything going wrong on video?
Oh, we go for it. He's an F1 driver. Oh goodness me. And this is our first car with full carbon
fiber doors as you can see right here. We'll have a quick stand tour before we're going anywhere,
which kicks off with a 903 C2. So these are sub 300 horsepower, but the idea of showing this
is it's where the other cars begin, right? If they took a perfect example, we would all
kick and scream and be very unhappy about it, but obviously they are still rather nice cars. Anyway,
that with the noises of the hill climb in the background can become something like this.
The Guntherwerks turbo with about 840 brake horsepower, which is a little insane.
Yeah, obviously everything completely overhauled. There are actually different wing configurations
for these. So what you see on this one is something I'm going to call a little 991 GT3 RS
inspired big aero, big downforce, big madness. Or if you prefer your turbo this way,
you can have it with that style. Yes. And there is another option. You can get a ducktail as well.
Yep. So this is the whale tail, isn't it? With the, I mean, gurney flap at the back. Come and
have a look in here though. Just that view through the meshing and actually look through the rear
window, the carbon fiber back there, your storage bin and the roll cage. Not a lot of storage.
You'll manage. Yeah. I mean, you would normally have had some in the front, but you probably lose
that for the ventilation, the fans and cooling through there. But basically these take your 993
generation 911s from the nineties and make them something a little bit more extreme.
You could say that. You could say that. I think it's 25 turbos, 26 of the newer cars,
obviously F26 being the model. And I think shortly we're going to go. Liam's just having a hangout at
the minute. I'm actually, do you know what? We can talk about this. I'm impressed by how
he's able to get a little under the radar here. Yeah. Like he's not absolutely hounded by people
everywhere. I mean, I don't think anyone's advertising is going to be here at that time.
That's what sort of helps. Yeah. Yeah. And kind of whistled stop through the crowd of people.
Nice, but really nice guy. And I think, do you know what, given we're here at Goodwood for a
bit of supercar shopping this year, do you think we should test him on what's grabbing his fancy
and what he's buying? That's great. He's a car guy, right? So the day. Yeah. And I,
I was wondering like Liam's driving a Guntherworks. Why is Liam driving a Guntherworks?
It's not a Red Bull. It's not. I wonder if there's a reason. I wonder if maybe he quite
likes Guntherworks. We'll find out. I'll ask the question. We've got lots of cameras in here.
Basically they've got their V-Box camera. They've got some of their cameras and we've got some of
my cameras. I think if you've got Liam driving a Guntherworks, you have the cameras. Yeah. You
need to. And you make sure you don't miss it. I've got water. I think we're supposed to have
gone already. The run is at 10 past and it's 10 o'clock. Cars are moving, first of the cars. Yeah.
So I think if I've understood this correctly from here, I'm going to get taken out by somebody else.
And then Liam is going to jump in basically on the start line. That would make sense.
Especially with how busy it gets doing this. And yeah, it's going to be fun. It's going to be
crazy, but that's what this is about. Right. Let's go see some stuff coming. Let's see what's
sharing the paddock because while we're waiting to go, this is the NSX Tribute by Tal Design.
I've been to visit a Tal Design before. I think the new or the new, the last, the previous gen NSX
has been getting quite a bit of interest recently. Oh yeah. There's a lot more coming about them.
Come through. It's a Totem. Totem. This is kind of like a, I don't know how you call
this. It's like Restomod. Yeah. Restomod Alpha. Yeah. Nichols. N1A. That's cool. That's a pretty car.
Mr. Nichols has been in the F1 world. And then we've got the Lunas. We saw this yesterday,
didn't we? Yeah. I think there were a few of them around. It's a Bentley with an electric powertrain.
Interesting. Yeah. As you do. If they weren't heavy enough. As you do. And then the Pizzerini
300. That's a pretty car. It's funny though, because it's a brand new car, but obviously
designed to look like it's from the sixties or something. I missed it, but the AMG GT four-door
just went over there. And the CLA. I've lost my voice. I've completely lost the heat. It's day two
of Goodwood and the voice is lost. It's lost from the heat and the dust in the air. Oh, there we go.
Mini Vagabond. I haven't seen that one yet. No. There's a lot of these like new cars from
mainstream brands. That doesn't look like it. Countryman Vagabond. So I think it's a spec.
Off-roading edition. Going back to the AMG GT four-door. Did you see the new CLA 45? Yes. Which
is using the same technology as the AMG GT four-door. It's an interesting concept. I need
to drive, well, the four-door GT. It's interesting. I agree. Ah, you like that? I do. I love those.
Turbo 3E, even though it's electric. But I think especially because it's electric.
So that's a full Mantai Taycan Turbo GT. Because why not? That wing combo. It's really wide.
Turbo 3E. That's probably the one you went in. I would think so, yeah. And then the Twingo.
I think it's great that they're doing cars that look like the old cars. Retro. Retro, yeah. Well,
nostalgia. Nostalgia is everything right now in this industry. And it's also what the European
manufacturers have that they can cling on to. It's history. So they should play with it. Whereas
all the new brands don't have the history. Yes. So they don't, you know, you should use what you
got, right? Yeah, 100%. I see Puppey in the Emola. She looks happy in the Audi A-class.
Oh, with Hannah. OK. How is the air conditioning doing for you?
We've got the cooled seat. Yeah. Making the most of it.
OK. Enjoy. Look after her, please. Have fun. Thank you.
Right. Squeeze in here. It's time to go line up. Catching the V-Box.
Thank you. Try not to **** yourself. Oh, yeah.
Sounds good. I love that you're fully suited and booted and I'm just in shorts.
No, it's good. It's good. It's good. But you've driven this exact car before, haven't you?
This one? Yeah, yeah. On the street. I feel like it's so tight up the stage that I probably had
more of an experience on the street. Like I got fifth gear. OK. I don't think we get fifth gear
today. Wow, we'd be really moving if we got fifth gear today.
They just told us we've got 18 bikes and 41 cars in front of us.
I've got a long time. So we've got a long wait. But here we are in this monster.
I find it funny that you've got time. Like they just told you it's a timed run. You've got all
this pressure. I have no idea what I'm doing. I hope you know that. I know that you're obviously
with me and you're putting your faith in my hands. I appreciate that a lot. But I have the last time
I drove this was on the streets of Newport Beach like six months ago. I have no idea what it's
going to be like. Yeah. But I feel completely out of place because I'm a bit like aware that
they're timing you and doing media stuff with you. And I'm like, why am I sitting here?
There's so many instructions. But it's super cool that the marshals help.
You're running straight from this to drive your current car or what's next?
Okay. Really cool. So you basically have to get, we get to the top of the hill. We get like,
boom, off you go. You've got to run to the next thing. I don't even know. I'm assuming so. On
days like these, because it's nothing like, if it was my race weekend, I'd be probably quite
stressed and everything. It makes no difference to me. You can let people tell you what to do.
That makes sense. I'm chilled. I'm all chilled. Otherwise you're just going to live stressed.
Every time I'm at a racetrack, I'm stressed. This is the one time I'm at a kind of racetrack
and I'm not stressed. The fact that we're in a Guntherwerks right now,
does that mean you're getting a Guntherwerks?
Can I ask that? No, not right now. But one day. One day, I'm sure. One day I will.
It's funny because like, you know, for me coming here to Goodwood, this is where you have all the
new supercars, all the cool cars. And obviously that's what I normally love doing. You can run
around, basically do a bit of supercar shopping. You can go like pick out literally like all the
latest and greatest, everything that you could like want to see is here. But I think you don't
really get the opportunity to walk around like that anymore, right? I know. That's the only thing
is, I don't want to sound, I'm not complaining at all. No, no, it's amazing. It is incredible
to see what we have. But yeah, I like, I will try and look around a bit today. I'll see how it goes.
Yeah, I got these bad boys. Okay.
It's cool. There's a lot of support. Obviously, a lot of people that are Silverstone are here.
What an incredible weekend that was. Six hundred thousand people. Yeah. The numbers are absolutely
nuts. We're getting around towards the start. In a minute, we're going to be going, I hope.
Okay, okay. I've got my lid on. We don't have Liam though.
He's coming. He'll be back in a second. I'm his Asian brother.
So straight into deep end. I don't, I have absolutely no idea.
So apparently I can do a burnout here.
So what do we do driving modes? We're going track mode and then it's got some TC, I think.
I'm going to keep out of your way. I mean, I have not done this in quite a bit, so
I don't really know where I'm going or what I'm doing, but.
Well, you go straight and then there's a right. It's a right hander, isn't it?
This thing is fast. So fast. It's so fast.
Like the in-gear pull is mad. Once it comes on boost.
We can get the AC on now, can't we? Yes, we can. It's so hot.
Yeah. Once it comes on boost, it's so fast. I find the pressure so intense that you just
get in a car that you're not overly familiar with and it's like, go send it. That was incredible.
That was sick. That was good. Now we have to sit here for quite a long time.
I'm going to give you this. Firstly. How was it?
Well, there's an interview going on right now, but we won't get involved in that.
How was your run? Very comfortable.
Especially in the Alpine. Yeah.
Also, a very fun gimmick. You can slide the screen across and it's got a controller so
you can play as a passenger. Only when it's static works.
I was going to say, not when you're driving. Not when you're driving.
Obviously, they're doing their immediate interviews.
Getting all that done. I saw you.
You only got in at the bottom, right? Yeah, right at the bottom.
Amazing. I'm in a car with this guy.
I know, I know. He's not quite as good as me driving.
Ah, yeah, yeah, of course, of course. Enjoy. I'll see you at the bottom.
See you at the bottom. So the question is,
if you're going to have to put this back on? No.
No. Certainly talking about it.
So we got Luca and the Caveira. They're so good.
I know I just asked you off camera. I should ask you again about the
pressure of something like this. Yeah, I don't know.
Also, the thing that I have is, every single time I get in the race car at the moment,
a car on track, whereas in my eyes, for fun, I get to drive.
Which is good. Which is very rare, yeah.
And my best friend, Caleb, who, I'm not sure if you've met him, he was down there.
We've been out at Thermal Club and we had two, and it was honestly so cool.
Just having fun with it. So, it was very fun.
I love this. You're a car guy at heart here.
Turbo noises are the best thing.
The whistles and the pops and the crackles.
When you get on boost.
Just us in California, all day, just driving around, just getting turbo noises.
So, Guntherworks F26 coming to Liam's garage soon.
I mean, honestly, talking to people, I want one so bad.
Yeah. When we were coming up, I was looking at it like, all right.
So, you just drove in?
Yeah.
Still, you have an M2 still?
I have a Supra.
Oh, you have a Supra?
Yeah, I have a Supra. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I had, no, I haven't. I have a Supra.
Yeah. Oh, yeah. I remember. We were talking about it. We were talking about it.
I would have never.
Under the famous Goodwood gantry.
I went.
You don't.
No.
You get points on your race license, don't you?
No.
So, you're hopping straight out of this and straight into RV8.
Yeah.
That's mad.
I know. It's going to be very different.
What a run.
Well, I recommend if you get an opportunity to go have a peruse of the supercars that are around,
it's well worth the shopping.
Pick some stuff out.
All right.
We're in.
That was mega. Thank you, Liam.
No worries, mate. No worries at all.
It was really awesome.
I had a good time.
If you don't mind, we're going to mic you just to get a quick soundbite,
and then Alex is waiting for you over there.
Perfect.
Is there anything you want me to take over?
Thank you, bro.
Awesome.
That's your Hans.
All right. All right. I'll step out. I got the easy one.
That was so cool.
That was good.
Liam, what a guy.
What an experience.
Chaos everywhere.
You can imagine with so much going on and with Liam driving the car,
just every media and every stop, every part of it.
Yeah.
I should probably give you that back.
Thank you.
Now you can get back in the picture.
We'll have to do some stuff with some cameras, but we'll have time for that.
Yes.
We need to copy all the files off.
No, seriously, you can imagine when Liam's here,
everywhere we go, someone wants to grab a moment or a photo or a word or something.
I love that. Liam's just hopped on the buggy and off he goes.
Magic.
Can't blame the car.
So his schedule today, right?
This, the Guntherwerks F26.
Yeah.
Then he's going now to drive the Red Bull RB8.
Fair.
Older F1 car.
Why not?
And then later he's driving the Ford GT Mark IV.
Wow.
What a day.
He's chilling.
So good. Right.
You're copying the camera files.
Very efficient with a USB-C adapter.
And then we need to take my camera off the window somehow.
This is the first glance paddock coming back past, isn't it?
How has it taken so long for them to come back?
I don't know. We've been chatting for like half an hour or something.
So what is everything?
There's the Honda Prelude HRC.
Sorry?
The Honda Prelude HRC, so the Honda racing version of the Prelude.
There's the AMG GT4 door.
Oh, there it is.
It's the first time I've actually seen it fully unclogged.
What do you think of the design?
So I saw something from Adam C yesterday on socials.
And I didn't disagree with him.
In a more normal colour, it looks more normal.
Yeah, I agree.
Like not in highlighter.
It just looks a little bit more regular.
I'm astounded that these have just got back.
This is the Honda Super N.
You got back, I would say, over an hour ago.
I think so, yeah.
Fair.
Quite fun.
So we basically, one, need some lunch.
Yeah.
Two, need to do some stuff swapping.
Yeah.
And three, we need to go and visit some more stands.
And we need to do some shopping.
Because we still need to talk about the car.
We need to shop, yeah.
Actually go and reveal and announce the car.
I don't know what the order of the above is.
How are they just coming back through here?
And how did I get back here so long ago?
There must have been some sort of...
Like order mess up.
They got stuck somewhere.
Because surely there have been runs, like, since.
But Puppy got back a while ago.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Or have they gone for another run?
Surely not.
I don't know.
Where are we going?
Lunch.
We get lunch vouchers, because we're media.
Should we go get some vouchers?
Let's do it.
It's a long walk from here, though.
Get the step count up.
Yeah.
Mercedes is behind you.
Hi.
Hello.
Nice to see you.
Yeah, we'll go with it.
How's it going?
How are you?
Hi, how are you?
Good, yeah, very good.
Of course on the video.
We haven't been to see the Mercedes-Benz Classic cars yet.
We haven't.
I saw the Black Series line up in passing.
We brought W129, 125, C11, 300 SLR we brought.
Yep, yes.
So some really, really nice cars.
We're going to go find them, then.
Actually, next row, over there.
On the way back down.
On the way back down, we'll go and have a look.
Cars, yeah.
Ooh, nice.
I mean, this is literally some royalty.
I mean, we're still building that.
Yeah, we've actually seen this exact car before.
Yes, at Finale Mondiale.
No?
Oh, no.
Sorry, slow collection.
Yeah.
Finale's Auto Museum.
That was a brain not working.
I blame it on the heat.
Everything's fine in the heat.
330 people, very, very, very special.
I'm sorry for what I said when I was hot.
You weren't sorry?
I'm sorry for what I said when I was hot.
Yeah.
Is that a Barrichello?
There was one that you signed, didn't it?
Oh, what was it?
I can't see.
Sorry, I got stuck behind you there.
You've got a car that looks quite similar to that one.
That's a year older, and it's an actual car.
FW18.
Very similar livery.
I mean, yeah, it was also the Rotham's livery.
Actually, it's funny looking at it.
Obviously, I immediately spot the few things that are slightly different.
But yeah, wouldn't mind one with an engine.
That would be quite good fun.
We're finally right up towards the top.
Is that a Supra?
Yeah, in the performance parking.
Any hypers?
Oh yeah, there's a Sian.
There's something in the Sian.
What a surprise.
Never expected that to be there.
No, not at all.
I'm not, you know, tomorrow the weekends are the busiest days.
There was a year where there was a 250 in here, no?
There was what?
Was it a 250?
Was it last year?
Multiple T50s.
I think there were like five T50s here last year.
So we'll take a look tomorrow.
See what people have brought over the weekend.
There will be less because it's a smaller area.
Anyway, we are popping into the media centre briefly
and getting something to eat somewhere.
What I particularly need a video clip of here
is that you have obviously the monument.
Look at where all the people are sitting.
Underneath, in the shade.
The perfect shape of the shade.
Hey, that's really funny.
That is quite funny.
I would do the same.
It's like that's nature at its finest.
That is nature at its finest.
Like everybody's sitting in the bits that are in the shade.
Right, we are going to go and venture and find another stand.
Yes.
See where it takes us.
Goodwood being Goodwood.
The amazing thing is it's just F1 cars.
That sounded like a newer one though.
It wasn't massively loud.
Still sounded decent.
Yeah, I mean compared to the road cars and things that go by.
Back on the selfie vlog.
Pretty Porsches.
Yes.
Not as pretty as mine though.
I mean, spoilt.
993s were good for works.
964s were singer.
Spoilt with all these things, but they complement one another.
What we're coming this way for though is the Ferrari stand.
Now the question at Ferrari is that we don't have any automatic magic in you go set up.
Unless we find the right person.
Can you not whip out a key?
I don't have any on me.
Oh, they have the full line up here.
Should we just have a quick nosy?
Yeah.
Squeeze through or try and get through.
Yeah, yeah, this is like a gridlock blockage.
But we'll go past a mouthy spider.
Well, Puppi's already found her way into the Ferrari Luce.
So we need to talk about this.
Absolutely. Do you want to be my passenger?
Well, we're going to come to in a moment.
Obviously, this is Jono's first time seeing Luce.
Yes.
We saw it in Rome at the launch event, which was a bit of a shock to the system
because it's so different from anything we've had from Ferrari before.
Fully electric, five seater, designed by love from,
just very, very, very out from what we know of the traditional Ferraris.
The tagline, different Ferraris for different Ferraristi.
It smells like a Ferrari.
I would expect so.
It's got the familiar Ferrari leather and the interior.
Interior, if I can open the door, it's really nice.
Yeah.
And obviously, first time you've seen this, but the way this has all been engineered.
It feels really nice.
I like these switches.
And pull down the launch toggle.
Yeah, it's cool.
Just excitement.
Now, this is obviously a big event because this is presenting the car now to a new audience as well.
We've got music, so we've got to kind of work a little bit around the music.
But new colour, going satin silver with it.
Yeah.
I don't know.
We'll have to probably bail out a ton more out of here
because otherwise we're going to get all sorts of copyright problems.
Normal wheels are better than the AeroDisc wheels in my eyes.
They look better.
But there are some things about the design, like the wipers coming up here, which are untraditional.
And that's what sort of caused conflict, shall we say.
What's interesting though is I've already heard people say they're coming here and ordering one today.
Like they're actually selling more than I previously believed prior to right now.
Yeah, it's just so different.
It's so different.
Your first time seeing Luce as well, so you can get on this and tell us what you think.
Thanks.
Can I say something controversial?
Yeah.
I actually like it.
I do. I think it's really cool.
What do we do with this car?
I think the interior is cool.
I think the body lines are cool.
I think it's just nice.
Yeah.
It's different.
Yeah.
Different is good.
Different is bad.
Different is everything.
It stands out.
It's just...
I'm not sure what to say.
As all Ferraris end up being, it looks better in person than it does in the renders.
Yeah.
Yeah, for sure.
I'm going to give it that.
The thing for me is there's nothing about it that's traditional Ferrari, right?
Big sides, totally different design.
You know, no sporty, aggressive design.
This line that comes quite high up over the back, just...
It is, you know...
If it was its own car, I have no issues.
I think, like I said in my first video at the time, the biggest thing for me is the fact that
Ferrari aren't traditionally electric and they aren't five-seat and comfortable.
Even the most comfortable they've got, Puro Sangre, is still a four-seater with a big central tunnel.
It's still very sporty.
It's still very sporty, front mid-engined.
This is a totally different thing.
I'm not knocking the car, I just think it's...
I still think that it should be branded differently.
I still think it should have been Dino by Ferrari or something by Ferrari.
And then it can be what it is.
In today's video update about what we're buying, are we buying a Luge?
Not right now.
I'm not personally.
Not right now.
We're also all boiling.
Should we go get some waters?
It's way too hot.
In the previous video, definitely an F1 car,
we obviously talked about the 849 Testarossa,
and we said that it's going to be a Spyder that's going to be joining.
But we didn't actually come and even look at the Spyder once.
That's really bad.
Which is kind of strange.
I went up the hill climbing the 849 Testarossa Coupé and had that experience.
We're going Spyder.
And actually, I quite liked this colour scheme.
I, yeah, that looks really nice.
Giallo Ambra.
We saw one in this colour, Coupé though, Coupé,
and obviously sort of teased and talked a little bit about it.
Hadn't locked in an order at the time.
But we have now done a deposit and placed an order for the 849 Spyder.
And that's a big part of where it sits with the SF90 and the XX,
because they're both Coupés.
This being a Spyder, that's something different.
And how different the design is.
For a day like today, right?
And while we'll get to full specs,
it's quite busy, isn't it?
We'll get to full specs in due course.
This is the car without Assetto Fiorano, without the track package.
With Assetto Fiorano, you can have a lift system now,
which you couldn't on SF90.
But without, you have the bumperettes and body colour,
and you have the lower twin tails,
rather than the twin wing tails.
I can't remember exactly what they're called.
I've got no idea.
Something like that.
Anyway, we've got a lot of options and spec things to talk about,
and how it's going to be, and how it's going to look.
That's my job.
But I, yeah, I don't know if you'd ever thought about this.
About what?
In the interior, Brad.
Yeah.
Where the selector is for the DCT, the 8-speed DCT, right?
That little panel just there, and where it sits.
That used to sit lower.
Do you remember one of your comments you made
when we sat in the car in Maranello for the first time?
You talked about how it's kind of in an awkward position,
close to your knee.
Yeah.
Do you know what would go right about there in a car?
You get where I'm going?
Yeah.
It's exactly where you would put
manual shifter.
Oh.
It's exactly where you would put it.
Okay.
Are they planning something?
I see where you're going with that.
It's exactly, exactly where it would go.
Like...
That would look good with a seat.
100%.
Directly off to the side of the steering wheel.
I think it answered every question.
Anyway, so today's topic, that wasn't this,
because we've already bought one of these at Goodwood this year.
It's something else.
The 296 Speciale.
Inbound.
We've talked on before, was it?
It was just before Goodwood last year we announced the 296 Speciale.
I'm excited for this one.
They look brilliant.
Me too.
We haven't come completely clean on the 296 Speciale.
It's been a bit more complicated.
We're going to get to this.
It'll make sense in a bit.
Oh, it's blinking at us.
Oh God.
Anyway.
Somebody lost their grandstand ticket.
That's inconvenient for them.
Brad is very confidently telling the world.
No, no, no, no, this is all of us.
He should be used.
Should be used to parking.
Not just me, it's you and me.
We should park all of the cars here, because we're so good at it.
I just watched someone telling the drivers to go straight,
and the driver was going left, right, left, right.
It's like, straight.
There's zero queue for the lunch places.
Done everything correctly here.
Does anybody know what they want?
Burger, food.
No, I'm going to have the same as yesterday.
I'm going to get a pizza, I think.
Pizza, chicken.
Do you want some vouchers?
Vouchers, please.
Okay, let me get some vouchers.
Please, sir, can we have some more?
Vouchers coming.
Donna doesn't want any, he's run off.
There's a voucher.
Thank you.
I've got a voucher.
Bye, everyone.
That's what Liam's driving later.
That's sick.
How do I get a passenger driving that one?
With Liam, I should have asked him.
He's driving it later.
Does he have an empty passenger seat?
I doubt it, unfortunately.
I'm a non-streaming passenger.
Donna, who's not on?
I'm not on.
Donna's not on.
Donna's always on.
Oh, it's the Evo.
Sick.
Not loud enough.
Rev it again.
I must try harder.
It's very extreme, isn't it?
That's ridiculous.
Oh, that's a lot of wind.
Cousin's umbrella.
Oh, look at that.
That's pretty.
That is very pretty.
So nice.
We've got an 849 Testarossa in front of a 206 Speciale.
And we've got a very loud Epollo Evo.
Evo, we like that.
Can I somehow magically work out how to get one of those in the collection?
Well, now we know that it can sound good.
Click your fingers.
F80.
Do you want to get you an F80, virtually?
Yeah, you can have an AI one if you want.
Can you get me a real one?
I can get you a 1-8 scale model real one.
The sound of that is funny.
Someone's put a microphone on the back.
That's going to be a cool mic clip.
If it's not blown out.
True.
Everything's here.
Zenbo.
Nice.
The only traffic jam I would like to be in.
I don't think the FSX-K is noisy enough.
It's quite quiet, isn't it?
Oh, and the FSX is down there as well.
Shuffling everything in.
Such a ridiculous lineup.
Behemoth.
FSX-K Evo.
Codalunga Speedster.
Venom F5.
Behemoth's got a crowd.
Oh yeah.
Oh my goodness.
Oh!
It's Zach!
We're really good.
Why are you wearing long sleeves?
They're flowing.
That's absurd.
Why are you wearing a shirt?
The first time I saw you today was getting out of a Gunther Works with Liam Lawson.
I was like, of course that's the first time.
There I was just trying to find some water and you're there just styling it out.
Is he?
That's awesome.
Yeah.
You having a good day?
Very good day.
Good.
We're doing a trend where that camera right there gives old school hangover photos
and you just happen to turn up right at the time so we've got to get a photo.
Perfect.
Are you ready?
Three, two, one.
Only yours, mate.
That's why I've got this shot.
He's a professional.
Are you driving at all at the start line?
No.
T1 corner without a camera.
Imagine standing behind the hay bales with that.
Hang on a minute.
Everyone with your big lenses, get out of the way.
No, we're coming to here for a very specific reason.
If it wasn't...
You're buying an F80?
I wish.
Can we...
We just discussed that, didn't we?
Can we make that happen?
Is that a thing?
There you go.
Are you going to edit that?
Light blue?
You want a light blue?
Okay.
Excuse me.
I have to, you know, the spec...
Maybe not, maybe not.
Okay, whatever.
No, but more excitingly, after lots and lots of pondering, a bit of deliberation, a bit of hope,
we were able to secure an allocation for a 296 Speciale A.
So we're not going to have a full spec reveal right at the second, but...
I really very much enjoy working on it.
It's a really nice configuration with Ferrari's atelier.
It's also due, hopefully, at the end of the year.
You can never know with these things exactly.
Maybe at the end of the year.
Maybe it's early next year.
And toes.
But no, one of these, and they're not officially numbered,
but it is, of course, significantly rarer than the Speciale Coupe.
If I have to guess, I think they're making something like 3,500 to 4,000 coupes
and a little over 1,000 Apertas.
So they're not really particularly common cars.
And having driven the Speciale, it is phenomenal.
The Aperta gives you that with the roof down and it will sound awesome.
Not driven an Aperta, but very, very, very, very, very excited to drive an Aperta.
Brad, are you excited to drive a 296 Aperta?
Lucky you.
I like this.
This is cool.
Are you excited?
Yeah.
Are you going to drive it much?
You love the 296 GTS.
This is just that, but on steroids.
I mean, that was one of the reasons, having had the 296 GTS,
which we obviously sold recently,
being able to secure the Aperta was the icing on the cake.
And the same part is Rosso Dino, no?
This is Rosso Dino, yeah.
Is it?
It doesn't look like it.
It's just the lighting in here, but it is definitely Rosso Dino.
Okay, I'll take your words for it.
We were chatting with the guys yesterday.
Okay.
About this.
It doesn't look like it at all in here.
That's what I said.
I thought it was like Rosso Scuderia or something.
We can pop the hood.
And see the sticker on it.
Does it have a frunk?
Yeah.
Should we go and ask if we can prove it?
Can we?
Yeah, let's do it.
Right, so...
Is it Rosso Dino?
It doesn't say.
Under PPG it should say.
One second there.
Where are we?
Yeah, Rosso Dino.
I'll take the helmet back.
Colori speciale Rosso Dino.
There we go.
I think it's the lighting under here.
It kind of darkens it.
So it's the same colour as our old 206 GTS, which suits well.
Well, it's amazing, this colour.
It's definitely true.
Yeah, it's definitely true.
Rosso Dino.
Arancio Dino.
Brad has the key.
I found the key.
They said I can't go for a drive, which is a bit disappointing.
Should we just take this one?
I mean, your spec is...
We're being watched.
No, okay.
206 speciale.
Just a quick thing, talking about it.
Obviously, lots more aero through the front,
especially with the air management system that you have up here,
but they still retain the luggage space, which the 206 does really well,
and a lot of modern cars lose.
These Alluvias, very neat touch.
I think it looks super aggressive from the front.
Like the 206 GTS, you have the bridge across the rear deck,
which I've always thought is a lovely nod back to the old Dino 246.
Same with just the general shapes and curves.
Look at these things.
They're epic.
This design back here, and you can have it with carbon.
Does this have carbon?
Yes, it does, on the underside.
I just think this is one of the best-looking cars in the market today.
Like this, you can have the window.
Can't see too much through the window,
or you can have that in full carbon.
Go under the roof.
I don't think you do the roof from the key.
No, as in, like, so go in and do the roof?
Yes.
Why not?
It just needs one touch of power.
What should we ask?
Are we allowed to start it?
We can ask the question.
Find the right person.
Or just do the roof.
Ooh, it's the physical button.
Yeah, it's the physical button.
Oh, I like that.
And then, roof.
So rear deck opens.
And then, obviously, the end result is stunning looks.
Cool.
I think they did such a nice job.
One of the biggest things with the design, obviously,
when the roof is down, is how you have this wraparound component.
You can have this rear window slightly raised up as well
to reduce any wind buffeting.
It's just a nice-looking car.
I like it.
It's gorgeous.
The green they launched in, as well, was cool, too.
I think there'll be quite a few Beret Nürburgring examples,
just because it's a go-to.
This is, with the seats in here, an interesting topic of conversation.
These are the same seats we have in the SF90 XX.
It's called the best weight carbon bucket seats.
But in the XX, in the early cars, you could only have them in black Alcantara.
Now you can have them in different colored Alcantara, as well.
So I would take these seats every single day of the week.
They are phenomenal.
But, yeah, it opens up some options.
Whenever I'm looking at a car like this, right, and I'm thinking options,
I'm looking at things like these.
Do you do that, for example?
Do you leave it in black to go with the carbon below it?
Or do you do that in a color?
You know what I mean?
Should it be close to body color?
Yeah.
It's working all of this out and thinking about all the different options.
But steering wheel buttons, an actual start button,
a car that drives as well as this, sounds as amazing as this.
The exhaust system is incredible.
Obviously starts in hybrid.
Yeah.
Now press qualifying.
Why do we not get to get one of these helicopters to a fancy hotel somewhere?
Oh, we can get it from here, over the road, to the campsite.
Can you, what would the Zembo guys say if we landed a helicopter
right in the middle of the campsite?
What would they say?
Well, given we probably crushed the tent, they'd be quite unhappy.
And my Zembo.
That's also true.
But we'd get to the campsite faster.
And in this heat, what would you prefer?
Speed or having a Zembo?
Jono, what's your favorite car of Goodwood so far?
Say that thing, go on.
It's obviously not the Luce.
Let's not beat around the bush here.
It's not, you know, a proper Ferrari.
So your favorite, but you're okay with it?
I'm okay with it.
He's not just okay with it.
He likes it.
I do like it.
If you got one, I'd be very happy.
Okay.
Buy one, please.
Interesting.
But I mean, this is the thing.
Different Ferraris for different privacy.
Different people like different cars.
Yeah.
And young tech guys.
Bye, Jono.
I would rather have...
Luce or Puro Sangue?
Puro Sangue.
Yeah.
Okay.
Okay, so he's somewhat sane still.
He's redeemed.
But if I was given a free Ferrari,
either like an Amalfi or a Luce,
I know they're completely different prices.
You can buy like five Amalfis.
Not five.
Maybe like two or two and a half.
Brad got excited.
We like these.
Belongs to Ross, hiya.
Hiya, Ross.
We're just making our way back in
after, what, a couple of hours?
Hello.
A couple of hours hiatus.
Enjoying some of the air con in the oven.
It's been lovely.
Yeah, the air con has been absolutely...
Well, I went on an adventure.
You did.
You went on a golf buggy adventure
to go and upload a file.
Anyway, we're just walking back in.
I'm going to get to the point here.
And I'm like, is that a Gunpert Apollo?
And well, yes, it is.
Casually parked here in this little area.
Why not?
Is that the...
Sorry to distract.
Is that the Bentayga?
We saw that ice race.
Yes.
Yes, we showed it in one of the earlier videos.
I was in awe arriving.
I got excited because of the lights.
Think of the G.
It was like that.
Maybe.
Brad's getting carried away.
What's the best way for us to go?
Is it like that way or is it that way?
I think through there,
because Denzer and everything should be there.
It's like halfway up.
We're going to the BYD Denzer Yangwang stand
to record something for socials.
The yellow Porsche.
Hello.
Note to Brad, don't point at people
because they think you're pointing at them.
That's what I did earlier, right?
I was waving at you guys
and then some other people next to you were waving back.
I was like, eh, awkward.
Good with things.
The biggest stand ever at this show is this,
which is BYD.
We're going to stand out of the way.
Don't get hit by a buggy, although...
They're having some swap around.
It's basically one single stand for BYD,
Denzer and Yangwang,
and we were here for something else
and I basically just said we need to make a video of it
because this stand, quite frankly, is enormous.
They literally have so much stuff in here.
Well, it reminds me of the old motor show stands
and officially Goodwood is now closed.
That's why it's pretty empty
because this has been heaving during the event.
Centre stage is Denzer Z.
What's the colour, by the way?
So this is the Denzer Z Racing.
I'm going to throw this out there.
1,600 horsepower, weighs 2.2 tonnes.
So power to weight is above many hypercars,
even though it's heavy.
It's just got so much power.
£173,000 for the Racing.
£142,000 for the Coupe.
That's some pretty good value for money.
Like, that's a lot of car.
Zero to 60, 1.96 seconds fast.
Anyway, Denzer is like the brand
that fits between BYD.
We used to have the BYD Seal
and everybody said I must be being paid to have it.
I was not paid to have it
and I enjoyed driving it quite a lot.
BYD, Denzer and Yongwang.
This is Yongwang.
This, the 3,000 horsepower Yongwang U9 Extreme,
is a couple of million.
That makes a little bit more sense.
That's like a crazy price.
There's no price officially published on it
but it's 3,000 horsepower, four electric motors.
Yeah, that's not normal.
Fastest car in the world.
What, 496.22 kilometres per hour.
Oh yeah, under seven minutes round the ring.
Massive swan neck wing on the rear deck.
Ridiculous.
And clearly it's hitting a sensor anyway.
Yes.
The U9 Extreme, the U8L is the super lucky tip.
That interior is crazy, by the way.
The yellow.
Yep.
Why not?
Super bright.
Monoblock style wheels.
There's TV folding down to the rear.
And a ridiculous amount of legroom, as far as I can see.
Look at that thing.
And the footrest.
Nice.
Can we go from this side?
Apparently you just touch it and it opens.
All of the drama, I like it.
Anyway, I want to come over here as well.
Firstly, we had joked about the off-road track
and taking the G squared over it.
Yeah.
I think they've stopped now because it's the end of the day
but it's just out here.
There we see, oh no, they're doing something.
Something's happening.
There should be a shot reversing up the ramp currently.
Okay, anyway, that's another of the racings.
So that's the same as the car on the stand inside we were just looking at.
And then lastly, that is the Spyder.
That's quite good looking.
160,000.
1,600 horsepower.
1,605 horsepower.
1,240 newton meters.
2.25 to 60.
I mean, these things have got a bit nuts.
76 kilowatt hour battery, which is probably not the most enormous.
If you use 1,600 horsepower regularly.
Oh yeah, true.
That's not going to last very long.
But anyway, I basically came to this stand
and was sufficiently impressed by the full setup of the stand
that I wanted to include it in this video
as well as everything else that we're up to.
Even more things upstairs that we haven't, well, we've seen.
Yeah, the prototype race car is upstairs.
It's quite the setup.
I think they came to Goodwood this year and said,
we are going to show how to do this.
They've done quite a good job.
We haven't spoken about the Mercedes stand at all.
And there's some pretty cool cars in there.
Is this where the 300 SLR is?
No.
Clearly not.
That's somewhere else.
This is a 300 SL racing sports car.
Yes.
And a GT4 door.
And a hammer.
Hammers are cool.
Shade, can you stop there?
Oh, you want to stop?
We can stop here.
How's it going, guys?
In the video now.
How's your day been?
Amazing.
Brilliant.
I think it's quite nice being here when it's this deserted and empty.
It's lovely.
If only it was like this all the time.
You can walk through anywhere you like.
Not so busy.
Don't hit a picnic table.
I would not.
I'd do a drone and go around it.
Yeah.
No, basically, today was about, well, firstly, going up the hill with Liam,
which was genuinely amazing.
Really nice guy.
The car was incredible.
But actually, obviously also about a second Ferrari.
Two days in a row, two Ferraris, kind of.
849 Testarossa Spyder and 296 Speciale A.
But what I want to say specifically is that Puppy has been responsible for the spec
of the 296 Speciale A.
Mostly.
And it is, like, perfect.
Can we say this?
I'm going to say this.
You're biased, right?
I'm biased.
I think it's incredible.
No, it is great.
I'm excited.
Good. I'm very excited about it.
Another successful day.
Right, let's go watch some football.
That's what I want to do.
