Anna Bondar vs Sara Sorribes Tormo 2026 Iasi Round 1 WTA Match Highlights

Anna Bondar has already played in three quarterfinals this year, two coming on clay. The number two ranked Hungarian makes her second visit here in Jász. And this is tails, Sara? Heads or tails? Heads. Tails. Serve. Good match. Watch the serve here. Through this Tormo going the other way. So Bondar gets the early break and she has a two-love lead. Smart. Number two seed. Oh, good defense, good hustle from Szerebe's Tormo. We talked about that just a short time ago about... Oh, yes. Bondar knew it. A great touch from Bondar. A little better point to the opening set. So it's the Hungarian who is halfway to the Get a break in this opening game of set two. Bondar just walks away again. A nice volley somewhere in the court. Oh, that's a thing of beauty from Bondar. Beautiful. Good reels from Bondar to get to that ball. And what a point to finish on for Anna Bondar. I thought she maybe could have closed out the point earlier, but good fight from Sara Szerebes Tormo in that game. But it's Bondar who wins five straight games in the second set. And she is through to the second round here in Jas at the Unicredit Jas Open. Anna Bondar was a quarterfinalist here a couple years ago. And now she's into the second round this year. 7-5-6-4. She gets it done.
