My bipartisan housing bill, it's now law. That's right. While Donald Trump was sleeping, road to housing became law without his signature. Yeah, the rent is too high and Donald Trump still just wouldn't sign the damn bill. He won't take a victory lap but I will and so will Bailey because this is big. We are in a full-blown housing crisis and I want to underline the word crisis. And for the first time in decades, Congress actually did something about it. I'm talking about building more housing, lowering costs, and boy, I never get tired of saying this but we are finally putting a stop to private equity buying up single-family homes. Woohoo. Look, housing is the single biggest purchase that most Americans will ever make in their lifetimes but it is so much more than that. It's where you live. It's where your kids grow up. It's economic security and for a lot of families, it's the retirement plan. This is the American dream and make no mistake, there's a whole lot more we need to do to solve the crisis in housing in America but this is a big deal and it will do a lot to help families. It's also a reminder of why we stay in the fight because this is how government should work hand in hand to make life a little better for you and for your kids. And even while Donald Trump just doesn't give a damn about you, the truth is we can still get stuff done. So yeah, let's take this victory lap. Let's stay in this fight. Bailey, ready to go? Come on.
